Ok here is the new thread. Quite impressed that I managed to do this as I usually fail miserably.

Oh yes. I need to get some photos done for Christmas. Thanks for the reminder.

Hey - I got an appt. through for A to have an immunisation. HIB and Menengitis C booster. Is that right at this age? I assumed it was for her MMR but rang to change the appt. as it was for the day before her birthday. That's when I realised it was not for the MMR.

IdrisTheDragon · 07/09/2006 15:56

Is the injection for pneumococcal meningitis? I think there's a new vaccination programme happening at the moment.

mummyhill · 07/09/2006 16:12

Probably D has his in October. We had a letter last week. I am hoping that they roll it out for the older children as well as a friend had her 3 year old die from this about 12 months ago.

Found this on the nhs website. So looks as if it's a different vaccination at 12 months? I think they'll have the PCV injection at the same time as the MMR.

mummyhill · 07/09/2006 18:18

I hope not cause it will seriousley overload the poor little mites systems would rahter they stagered it. I have only had an appointment for the new jab no mention of his mmr yet.

My friends one year old was called for her mmr on her first birthday - so that was a happy birthday present - poor lamb really cryed

IdrisTheDragon · 07/09/2006 20:04

I waited until 15 months to have DS's MMR and will probably do the same with Alice I think.

Simplyred · 08/09/2006 08:16

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IDRIS!!! Hope it's nice where you are too.
OK, picnic hampers out...where's everyone going?

IdrisTheDragon · 08/09/2006 09:37

Thank you .

It is a beautiful day here as well - my birthday often has nice weather .

Alice and I have dropped DS off at pre-school and I think she may be about to go to sleep. So the decision is between tidying and playing with my new ipod (think I actually will tidy first though - is this the result of being 31? )

mummyhill · 08/09/2006 18:02

happy birthday idris

Happy Birthday Idris x

beatie · 09/09/2006 08:39

Happy belated birthday Idris. And thanks for the info. about the immunisations.

Today was my due date a year ago. The start of that 11 day long and anxious wait for A to arrive. I might go back and look at those old posts.

Idris & SR - I'm onto the Windsor thing and hope to come up with a good meeting point soon. I hope the weather is like it was yesterday/today.

I am without husband and children today. DH has gone away fro the 2 days with his brother and friends and my parents have offered to take the girls for the day. I might get some Spring cleaning done. This will be A's first time at my parents' house without me there. Her big sister will look after her, I'm sure.

I'd better go and pack a bag for them. My parents will be here in an hour.

ych · 09/09/2006 10:42

Re immunisations - I saw my HV the other day who said my GP would be in touch as J will get the MMR jag in one leg and the new meningitis one in the other.

Babies, babies everywhere! My niece who was born on Tuesday has been called Madison. My best friends sister had a little boy on Wednesday called Ryan and my other best friend is in labour right now!!!

Simplyred · 09/09/2006 19:57

Bought Rachel a mega blocks Noahs Arc today for her birthday - its just 9 days away!!!

IdrisTheDragon · 09/09/2006 20:08

We've bought Alice a baby doll and a HappyLand Cottage.

She's suddenly got into playing with less "baby" toys, if that makes sense. DS has some little people and she's been having fun putting them in and out of the bus . That's part of the reason for getting her some HappyLand so they can be different.

IdrisTheDragon · 09/09/2006 20:08

Alice's is 11 days away .

Simplyred · 10/09/2006 09:14

Hello!

Yes Rachel likes the Little People range - will probably get her the Little people house - but wonder where we will keep it!!!

ych · 10/09/2006 09:20

Franch - Happy 1st Birthday to your little one

ych · 10/09/2006 09:21

We have bought J a Lightening McQueen ride on car, a baby trampoline & a talking Bruin Bear. Only 3 days to go!

mummyhill · 10/09/2006 10:40

Franch - Happy Birthday to your little one.

We have bought D the peeka blocks farm and some stacka blocks. He loves playing with DD's happy land (much to her disgust). They will have to share it though so we will buy some more at christmas between them.

Just found out that my friend had a baby boy, Evan, this morning, a waterbirth, the weight was an eye watering 10lb 9oz!!!!

jaamy · 10/09/2006 11:16

Franch - many happy returns to your little C - have a lovely day.
Congrats to your best friend Ych!
We're off shopping for A's 1st birthday present today. Cna't believe she's 11 months old today!!! We are already over run with little girl toys so have absolutely no idea what to get her. Already have little people, ride-ons, mega blocka and peek-a-blocks from DD1. Will have to be something that doesn't take up much room!
HOpe everyone is enjoying the sunshine...
