Meant to say VQ - unlikely diabetes, much much more likely the combined effects of mobility and back to back illness. Always best to get things checked out though, as you say. As for vom - have smelt all sorts from adults/kids and unless it looks like poo, not sure I would be overly worried. Although I would be investing in a nose peg Wink

I would so love to wave a wand and remove illness, quichewide.

Antibiotics are expensive but the worst thing is that no chemist is open on a Sunday. Hospital won't give us anything as no medical insurance (and it's not emergency). Fucking law. She is on pain killers until tomorrow.

I am tired of this. I'm seriously contemplating going back to the uk, change her name to mine and register her under my surname here, in Hungary. Pls slap me with the quiche fish and remind me why I'm doing this. I mustn't choose the easy option. I must not.

Evilwater · 27/10/2013 14:06

I've just had n in the bath for a while, it was nice cause p isn't here so he could spend as much time in there as he wanted. It was nice for both of us.
yw how about stuff from lush? I love stuff from there, or chocolate that's nice too.

PR have a nice time looking at all that tasty meat!

big I find N reflux gets very bad when teething. I just up the amount he has.

chasing nice to see you so happy on your own.

Love perfume. I wear it every day. Love Clinique happy and l'eau s'issey

^ wrote that about 2 hours ago!

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 14:47

Evil, why won't P let stay in the bath as long as he likes?

I have a quick question. I know that when O gets to a year I should be switching from formula to cows milk but it will be a gradual thing so he will still be on formula for a while. Do I still need to sterilise his bottles when he gets to a year?

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 15:05

11 months ago my waters had just broken Grin Can't believe my baby will soon be 1.

Evilwater · 27/10/2013 15:13

Just incase he gets ill, either from getting cold or the water! Then there is the filthy floor on what I dry him on! And I have to get him dressed quickly on account of the cold.

As for the bathroom, he is supposed to clean it, and I dry him in his bath towel, which is on the bathroom mat that I wash every week.

Chicken pox, tonsillitis, upper respiratory infection mild ear infection. Not meningitis. Happy fucking birthday little man.

horseylady · 27/10/2013 15:28

Oh And this time last year I was 90 minutes into pushing!!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2013 15:31

Oh no horsey how awful. But yes a relief it's not anything worse. I hope he feels better soon :(

evil just wanted to send you positive thoughts and I also think you are doing the right thing.

chasing as long as you wash the bottles properly no need to sterilise. I stopped at 6 months. When they're mobile they put all kinds of crap in their mouths so they get more resistant to bugs. In theory.

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 15:43

Brilliant PR. I shall retire my steriliser on Oscar's birthday.

Horsey that is properly rubbish. Poor boy Sad

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 16:02

I am so so sorry Horsey.

Evil, I also think you are doing the right thing.

J went for a nap and vomited in his sleep. He stinks of acid. Looks like I will be off work again tomorrow. No temp, but I think his ear infection is still there. I predict a fever by the morning.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 16:03

I shall continue to sterilise Js bottles. He seems very vulnerable so I think it would be foolish for me not to in this instance.

Passmethecrisps · 27/10/2013 16:37

horsey that sounds horrendous poor all of you.

vq it has just been endless for you. I think it sounds sensible of you to continue sterilising under the circumstances!

My mum and dad have just left from being here for the weekend. P was on form for sure.

I bought her wellies this morning from sainsbos in the sale. Too big just now but will be fine for plodding from buggy to swings and back. She thinks they are hilarious.

My blister. It still irks me

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 16:48

Bloody hell. I just managed to set dried spaghetti alight and caused a fire in my kitchen. I learned that my smoke alarms work and Oscar is terrified of flames. I'm still shaking.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 16:51

Fuck Chasing. You ok?

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 16:52

Pass were there many toys left in the sale?

Passmethecrisps · 27/10/2013 16:54

Jeezo, chasing are you ok?

Load and loads vq

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 16:55

We're ok. I put it out with a wet tea towel. I am terrified of fire. It's my biggest fear.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 27/10/2013 17:19

vq I've just read from my sick bed. Have been vomiting and other fun stuff. Wanted to let you know about Js weight. He weighed 10.6kg in June and that was above 98th centile , he was weighed last week and only weighs 10.9kg so hardly a gain at all considering that was in 4 months. The most recent weight moves him to just below the 75th centile so technically a drop but no one seems to care as I don't have an accurate inbetween weight for him, even though I'm sure he was 13.6kg at one point. But it's never been charted or on proper scales so can't be certain!

YellowWellies · 27/10/2013 17:39

Izzy given we're discussing babies not prize marrows (thanks to my sarcastic HV for that one!) I think that whilst any weight loss might seem scary that actually sounds good in terms of his long term health that J has fallen down the centiles a wee bit - especially if he was once 13 kg as that would be the same as Jonas and Pass's P put together. He seems to be doing so well now he's on an exclusion diet. It was really tough and you've had such a slog of it but you have done such good work. You and VQ have gone through so much with your wee lads I hope you take some time to feel really proud of yourselves for being so amazing and coping with so much shit in the face of often pish advice from the HCP meant to be 'helping' you.

VQ I think continuing to sterilise makes mucho sense - I'd do the same in your boat. It adds yet more work to your already overflowing workload but you're doing the best you can for him. I hope illness and feeding issues fuck the fuck off, and fuck off some more for you. If you think it's reflux I'd push the HCP to up his meds a wee bit and see if that encourages his eating and reduces his vomming and upset. Poor sausage.

Horsey poor E - what a way to spend his birthday. Still at least you know what it is and he's on the mend.

I've established without my Star Trek 'WTF is pissing off my baby' detector gadget that I don't think it's reflux that's disturbing Jonas' sleep at the moment as he is eating really heartily and if it's reflux he usually goes into a bit of solid food avoidance due to a sore throat. So it's either teeth, growth spurt, trace dairy or just because - that I'm seeing him for multiple night feeds. Sigh... you never know this time next week he could be sleeping well again. I shouldn't complain as I am getting 7 hours a night but usually in 2 or 3 chunks and that isn't what it was. Ack maybe I've just broken him.... Hmm

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 17:51

You did very well by the sound of it Chasing (((hug))) Of course I am itching to know how on earth you managed it in the first place.

YW and Izzy, that is helpful thank you. I think it is reflux made worse by the teething. I need to talk about upping the dose, and also get his ears and throat checked, and chest too. Today he has eaten two little crusts of toast. Thankfully he has his glorious fatness to fall back on. I think it is quite strange that the two chubby Js have followed really quite a similar path.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 17:51

Izzy are you beginning to feel a bit better yet?

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 17:52

Pass, is your blister healing at all? How about treating us to an after dinner pic?

Passmethecrisps · 27/10/2013 17:54

Not very much vq. Would a post dinner blister pic cheer everyone up?
