Car seats people. P is 7.75kg so still a long way from being the 9kg of forward facing but her legs are all squished as she is, bizarrely, quite tall. Any ideas?

And yep, mm we need to maxi cosi pearl as we have the family fit base. However, I now realise that this was a total swizz as we never take the seat out anymore anyway.

Passmethecrisps · 18/10/2013 21:12

and I find putting p in the back of DH's 3 door car without the isofix base easier than the same in my 5 door without the base. With the base it is a peace of piss either way.

MissMummy1 · 18/10/2013 21:20

I am beginning to realise this. I am not forking out for another base when we already have one, and now I know the Tobi fits in the 500 I will either buy another for the big car or look at ERF. I think that might be an option for you if she is too wee for forward facing but has outgrown the cabriofix.

Passmethecrisps · 18/10/2013 21:25

I am thinking this as well mm. She has ways been smashing in the car but recently has become inconsolable during car journeys and I suspect much of it is being squished. I reckon one carefully purchased seat will be better than getting one which matches the base we probably didn't need

Pikz · 18/10/2013 21:41

So we have a MC axiss in one car and a pearl on the base in the other. The pearl on the base is really good if you have to switch the seat between cars which we do with my mum. It takes seconds to switch and I don't have to worry about anyone putting the seat in wrong or not tight enough etc. the seat belt strap in is good but not if you need to move it.

Kyz · 18/10/2013 21:49

Marking place. Will try to keep up better with this one than I did the last one! I know I said I'd be epic again but I'm so not feeling so epic tonight. So maybe tomorrow.

apple hugs, my mum had a really heavy bleed with one of my sisters, and all was well. Fc everything is ok

Am on my phone and can't remember anything else off the top of my addled head!

Kirrin · 18/10/2013 21:57

Ah, there you are bry :) SEN stuff challenging - good luck with it all xx

stunt I think I posted a couple of weeks ago about DD1 doing similar to my nose. It was excruciating at first, but wore off quite quickly I didn't bother with A&E in the end but I have to say it never occurred to me that they might think DP had hit me?!
That said, a friend fell over a few years back and ended up with 2 black eyes and her DH apparently was on the receiving end of lots of dirty looks when they went out and about.
Glad it's not broken - still sounds painful though, so take it easy Flowers

Congratulations on the backbone gazelle Grin

And congrats on the weight loss det you've done brilliantly!

((Hugs)) apple A friend had 2 biggish bleeds in her last pregnancy and it was fine - apart from her nerves obviously. Definitely best to get it checked out though.

pp I think my response to the hat situation would depend on how easy you think it would be to sell the first hat again! IYSWIM?

Poor DD1 was sick several times last night so not much sleep was had in our house. She's not been bad today, apart from a high temp, so hopefully it's just a short lived virus. No one else is sick, which is a relief.

I have just done a whole 5 minutes of skipping and am knackered so I think I can safely assume I am stupidly unfit and need to sort it out. I have also gone back to drinking coke everyday after weeks and weeks of hardly drinking it at all. FAIL.
Need to sort out my mum tum - it's depressing :(

YellowWellies · 18/10/2013 22:17

Kirrin when I was running five miles four or five times a week I still found skipping killed me. It's the sort of activity suited to a wee kid's body.

Det I meant to say - fookin well done love! You must be so proud of yourself Smile

After a bad week of teething / thinking about cruising bear / broken sleep - DH presents me with a bottle of chilled NZ finest and saucy promises that I get both sleep-ins this weekend.

In gutted news, I lost my nose ring today. It'll close up in a few days. Need to go and get it repierced. Mmmmm will not go and toy with the idea of my dream full back tattoo....

GTbaby · 19/10/2013 06:18

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 07:12

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 07:12

Pikz · 19/10/2013 07:21

I find too many jumping jacks hard!

Boo to snot Sophia.

Happy birthday to mini PR!

Amazing on the weight loss det.

I played rugby for a long time and DP always said he wanted a tshirt with it wasn't me. She lets other girls hit her!

Oh Wow is the word of the week! Oh wow mummy happens every 10 seconds but is very cute!

ditsygem · 19/10/2013 07:37

apple big hugs, how are you doing this morning? My sister had a scary big bleed early in her pregnancy, but all was well. I hope that is the same for you.

Kirrin I too need to lose my mummy tummy, I just decided yesterday after trying on some old clothes that I need to do something about it. I had actually lost another half a stone from what I am now, but biscuits seem to have become my friend these last few weeks and I have but half a stone on, so now want to lose 2 stone, but 1 stone would do for now to make me much happier!

Pikz Oh wow so cute! we have no words here at all --booo!

GT I hope you are now sleeping after that massive feed, I can't say I miss those days at all - but at least you know it will end! x

ditsygem · 19/10/2013 07:39

Oh and car seats - we have the Maxicosi opal as it can face backwards and then turn forwards, but provides lots more space then the first baby car seats like the cabriofix so his legs aren't squished anymore (and he weighs 11.5kg) so we can keep him rear facing for a while yet. I think there is also the Britax first class that does that (but it didn't fit our car).

fruitpastilles · 19/10/2013 07:47

Have only skim read, not caught up properly, just wanted to say happy birthday to pr's lo, and apple hugs, how are you today?
Wow detective brilliant weight loss, you have done fab Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 08:06

So when can I move O out of his baby carrier these days, is it when the head goes over the top?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 08:07

Happy birthday Petite PR !

PetiteRaleuse · 19/10/2013 08:14

Absolutely awful night here. Insomnia caused by stressing about a certain phone call planned for Monday. Went to bed at 11, fell asleep at 1, woke up at 3 and was awake til 7. Then was just dropping off when LO woke up and DH went to work. Insomnia induced bad mood coupled with PMT and I've already popped a xanax. Geez am crap at looking after the kids.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/10/2013 08:14

And thanks for the birthday wishes Flowers

ChasingDaisy · 19/10/2013 08:38

Have been totally crap at keeping up lately but have been reading as much as I can.

Anyway, Happy Birthday petite petite Grin Have a wonderful day xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 08:57

Are you off outfit shopping today chasing ?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2013 09:06

Some Quiche wisdom required. How do you all dry your clothes in the winter? I am quite selective about what I allow to go in the tumble dryer, so is only towels, bedding underwear, socks, vests and baby gros that go in. I have been popping clothes on the airer but they take about 3 days to dry. I have no radiators Shock

What did you do in Orkney yw should I plonk the airer In front of the fire?

GTbaby · 19/10/2013 09:21
