Lily I'm glad that Hungary feels like home for you right now. You know that the UK is always waiting for you if you ever decide to move back. Plus, Oscar needs to take Olivia out on that date when they turn 18 Wink

Met another Nov baby at baby group today - the 20th - they're everywhere!

pig are you still out there? Hope everything is well at the pigsty Grin

Agh, first date nerves are kicking in now. How acceptable is it to have a nerve steadying drink before a 3pm date?!

Also very nervous about tomorrow's driving lesson. And the fact that a friend is babysitting O for the first time during said lesson. O really likes her but he has never been alone with her Confused

So, all in all, I'm a jumble of butterflies right now.

Passmethecrisps · 22/10/2013 19:56

Howdy partners

That made me laugh fruit! Maybe just strap a bra round her head when you g out

Naps. P still has a 9am nap and a 1pm nap. The 9am one is getting harder work and shorter so I presume that she is moving in the direction of one good long nap.

Claims to fame. I went to school with an F1 racing driver, I served Kevin Keegan tea and I was once on a plane with jack dee and mark Lamar. They were jestingly complaining that Alan Titchmarsh would never be treated they way they were (cheap seats of a BA flight) and I said something to them about cattle class. My mum, however had the best response ever when I told her about it she was all bosomy indignance and said "well! That's because Alan Titchmarsh is a star!"

Oh, and I once met Del Amitri in a club after their concert. We were invited to the after show party. We said no because we were good girls and they were old enough to be our dads

ChasingDaisy · 22/10/2013 19:57

Oh and I am seeing 'just friends' guy tomorrow night. I will be sure to mention that I have a date on Saturday...

Passmethecrisps · 22/10/2013 19:59

Fingers crossed for sleep vq.

That must have been very emotional lily. A big journey for you both.

Grin at chasing all a flutter

Pikz · 22/10/2013 20:10

I presented flowers to the queen and helped her open a statue in Whitehall.

I've met beckam and Alan twitch marsh and lots and lots of famous rugby players.

I also delivered air Alec Guinness's papers and he gave me a huge Xmas tip!!

Come on carrot cake am hungry!! Am impressed with big red book by Ella's kitchen!

YellowWellies · 22/10/2013 20:29

In my student days whilst working at Magdalen college bar I served drinks to William Hague and Paul McCartney. Smile

Pikz · 22/10/2013 20:33

This dairy free carrot cake is amazing

YellowWellies · 22/10/2013 20:36

Oh and I once missed a flight home to Orkney thanks to a delayed Heathrow connection and ended up being put up in a hotel by BA and got pissed, at their expense with The Master of the Queen's Music (Sir Peter Maxwell Davies) and his partner Colin. We're still pals Smile .

Some of my Oxford contemporaries are starting to get famous - in large part for being right-wing plonkers.

And I'm distantly related to Florence Nightingale. Anyone who knows what a shit, unsympathetic nurse I am finds this Grin .

BigPigLittlePig · 22/10/2013 20:40

I lived with one of the Welsh rugby team at uni. There were many antics over the years Wink.

All good here, although busy thanks to being on-call. Had a humungous row with dh on Sunday whilst up at my parents, was not good at all. All sorted for now, think it was due to tiredness, and his inability to see things in any way other than black or white.

Apple I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are getting by ok xx

VQ I wish illness would leave your house alone, it's been most of the year you've had one thing or another. I think you are entitled to something like 12 weeks of parental leave per child up til their 18th bday (in the NHS).

PR how did chat with dh go?

Det Shock at your food bill! We spend £50 or less, but we all eat the same and lunches are cold pasta or similar for me, and sandwiches for dh. F has all her food at nursery 3 days a week which saves on the food bill.

Can't remember what else. I have been religiously reading but have a brain like a sieve at the mo.

YellowWellies · 22/10/2013 20:40

Recipe please Pikz I is cake deprived!

VQ I get the pea protein yogurts from a shop called healthfood and more on St Clair St in Kirkcaldy. They have a website - health foodandmore.co.uk

FatimaLovesBread · 22/10/2013 20:45

Evening all

Enjoyed catching up on all your food chat. It's given me some meal ideas. M has whatever we have, but I've been lacking lunch ideas.

DH and I had a chat on Sunday and all is ok now. He admitted that he thought he could drink like he used to but he can't handle it anymore. He came home from work on Monday to tell me that one of his work mates that I gave a lift in to town with DH didn't get home until 4:30am. He had to knock his wife and kids up as he'd lost his keys and had no money for the taxi. So I suppose I got off lightly.

M had a temperature Saturday and Sunday night so yesterday I came home from work, had tea and went to bed.

I'm going to have a look for some shoes as M is really coming on with her walking. I guess we'll buy her some for her birthday. They all see to be pink in Clarks though

I've plans to go out with the girls on Sunday and DH is staying home with M Grin

My dad taught Pete Doherty and Steven Tin Tin Duffy

I know an actor from Downton Abbey who is also going to be in Call the Midwife next series

And.....I was on This is Your Life once. Blush (seated In front row)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 22/10/2013 21:31

Boys first proper day at nursery tomorrow. DS1 doing great O is being rubbish, but he has a cold. Is me reassuring nursery! He will be fine. I am sure. Halloween Hmm

I think Sunday was actually chat day with varying egress of robustness!

I too would always plump for startrite, they are ace and last so much longer.

YellowWellies · 22/10/2013 21:34

Passmethecrisps · 22/10/2013 21:38
Pikz · 22/10/2013 21:41

Horsey every day at some point I think of you as I sing horsey horsey don't you stop...!!

Pikz · 22/10/2013 21:43

Sophia, L has done two 9-3.30 sessions this week. I am sure O will be fine.

PR glad to hear the talks are worth it.

Now if someone can make small person sleep til 7 that would be lush!

Pikz · 22/10/2013 21:44

Oooh ooh and I knew I had a question. Any ideas of how I deal with time move at weekend. Dreading a possible 4.30 start on Sunday!!!

Kyz · 22/10/2013 21:51

Hey quiche, quickie, am here but want to sleep ASAP as e is quite unsettled tonight. Claim to fame, my aunt was in emmerdale, one of my siblings is related to engelbert Humperdinck and i regularly spend time with the family, they're lovely :)

Good to see you bplp and stunt it is called 200 sit-ups and is part of the zen challenge series. Is really good :)

Thanks for the breakfast/milk chat, I realised we have just been pootling along on three meals and two bottles and a snack for a while now and I hadn't really thought of what comes next! This morning I did bottle after breakfast again but it was straight after and only 4oz drunk. Should I move the bottle to an hour later? If I do it'll be 7am brekkie, 8am bottle, 9:30am snack. Is that ok or a bit squashed up? Does this continue past his 1st birthday? Am I meant to gradually swap to cows milk or just change one day? He has sipped cows milk before but doesn't drink it really. He has it on his breakfast

Ugh I hate it when I can't get on my laptop I have so many of you to reply to!!!

Hope you're doing ok gt, have you chosen a's name yet?

Passmethecrisps · 22/10/2013 21:55
