I have also de-dog haired the house today. Pulled furniture out - the works. O wasn't impressed at not having my full on attention though :(

I hate doing cleaning on my days off. I feel I should be spending it with O. I think I will try and afford a cleaner. What am I looking at? If I wanted 1.5 hours twice a week? Or would I be better with 3 hours once a week?

I want someone to do the dusting, hoovering the stairs and upstairs, clean the kitchen and the bathroom. Would also want a few jobs done on a rota - windows cleaned, oven cleaned, etc.

We hoover downstairs daily any way, so I can keep on top of that, plus O likes hoovering Grin.

While cleaning today, I discovered quite how badly my sofa has been damaged by my fat arse being parked on it for the last year haha! The springs have gone, but have also damaged the cushions too. Time for a new sofa. Except I can't decide what I want!!

Pikz · 06/10/2013 20:53

Sophia I like these ones...

tablet.hm.com/gb/product/17058?article=17058-A

I use sanitary towels, only thing that works. I have to use always night plus extra thingys.

PurplePidjin · 06/10/2013 20:55

R has grey cable knit from the 99p shop. Hasn't been cold enough yet, long socks+daisy roots are enough in the sling for now...

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 20:59

Last me post.

I have decided I am going to start job hunting.

I want to apply for where I had O. It's local. Few things I need to check out first.

I can't stand working 5 days a week.

There isn't anything that ties me to where I work any more - before mat. leave it was very convenient because of DS1 and my mums, and school etc etc. It would still be convenient on a saturday to drop O and DS1 off I guess. But that's it.

Next time they advertise, I am going to apply.

I just need to try and find out how to get hold of my old personal statement - NHS jobs have deleted it from my account. Cunts. Grrrrrr.

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 21:01

Det cleaners up here are £8 - £12 per hour depending on whether you or they supply the cleaning materials. I'm going for 2 hours per week for a 4 bed / 2 bath house. Hoovering, dusting, window cleaning, bathrooms and kitchen on rotation. I'd happily have more but can't justify more than £20 a week or so. That's still 2 hours a week more than I manage Blush .

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 21:03

And I'm glad the bear isn't the only tights wearing boy Smile

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 21:07

Oh that's good, okay, I figured £30 a week would be my maximum. If we had to put O in childcare though, that would have to go as to do both would be a stretch.

If I got a job here, and could do long days, I probably wouldn't need more than an hour and a half a week, just to do the upstairs plus good clean up in kitchen.

Working 5 days a week is shit. 3 long days would give me a better work/life balance.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 21:08

Ooo they are perfect pikz

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 21:14

Det if I get this job, I am going to push for 3 long days too. And also employ a cleaner.

Sophia am v Envy of your life

Chasing hugs xo

M is high on calpol and tixylix. She is literally bouncing off the walls Confused I will tackle bedtime again when he goes back on nights and she is better.

I am very in love with http://www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/40977334 this flat . Out of my price range atm and not really where I want to live, but it is a bit lovely. and I have chosen a new kitchen for it in my head

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 21:15

here?

Pikz · 06/10/2013 21:22

MM is all kinds of lovely!!

Sophia they do plain navy and grey too. YW I have just ordered some of the very cool thermals of JoJo too with dinosaur on bum as a Xmas pressie!

Pig has F given up on terry yet?

Chasing big hugs

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 21:31

Evening!

I would snog you vq but I am currently rocking not one, not two, but 3 cold sores. I shall give you a squeeze instead.

I bought p some red, white and navy tighs in sainsbury's for £6.

Curry was fine. Very mild but it was meant for p. Got about 10 large portions for her and a big portion for our tea. P loved it and ate a massive portion with rice.

det if we weren't going on hols tomorrow I would have held of with the shoes but there are so many nice walks that we thought she would miss out otherwise. We went a walk round the cul de sac earlier and she was really getting the hang of them. She is still walking a bit like she is wearing moon boots but getting there.

Have some Cake chasing

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 21:32

I might put a video of O toddling about on FB. Tell me if you think he is ready for shoes?!

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 21:35

I love that mm. That is a very nice part of dunf as well. I would also change the kitchen but the rest is very nice. I love a wee look at houses even when I can't afford them.

In other news. I have very quietly been testing p with various types of dairy. No reaction what so ever. Apart from om nom nom to cheese.

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 21:36

Do it det

Shoe lady told us most people wait until baby has been walking 6 weeks or so. It was our childminder who suggested it and shoe lady didn't disagree. Like I said. We would have waited but hols seemed like a good time.

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 21:38

Well. I would have done.

Except I just managed to delete it.

Fat fingers. Hmm

He's been walking 6 weeks now actually. I was thinking of waiting til his 1st birthday for them. Seems daft. It's just me. Being silly!

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 21:39

Cheese was om nom nommed here too. Grin

Can't wait for later this week. Cheese on toast for O!

Giving it til Friday though. A week since last given...

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 21:41

See I would say P has been walking maybe 3 weeks but has given up completely on any other mode of moving. P didn't like the shoes at all initially and it is a lot of money if they never settle to them. It is nice for her to have the option of walking about outside though.

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 21:43

P had toast with normal cheddar cut so thinly that I could spread it over the toast. She ate every single piece. That has been gradual introduction over maybe three weeks. No problems

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 21:50

I'm going for buttery / creamy pasty and choc again this week into my diet. Then cheese next week - which he reacted to about a month ago and then maybe directly into his diet.

MM I'm still getting Rightmove updates from when we bought this place and I saw that flat and thought it was very lush (but more than we'd pay for a flat rather than a house). Bar the dated kitchen it's done very tastefully and gave me some ideas about colours for this place.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 06/10/2013 21:56

sophia I can't use tampons at all since DD. Have had 2 sections so not like an issue caused by delivery. No idea why.

chasing hugs. And you too lily and pidj.

Shit Sunday here too. Massive row with DH in which I said shoutedsome appalling things and made both DC cry. And now I have ruined the weekend, I have to go back to work tomorrow, and my foul mood is unlikely to be improved by some extreme fuckwiticism on the part of a colleague and the fact that someone I like v much is leaving this week. Grump, grump, grump. Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 22:02

Oo pikz I was coveting those long johns for O when I did a mahoosive order for DS1 the other day. I love JO Jo.

mm that flat is ace and the little Matilda staircase up to her little Matilda room. Weekends at the mo are absolutely perfect. Nothing amazing but just what I have always dreamed of. Am hating Mondays when DH goes off to work. Am fine by Tuesday though all back to my normal hermit tendencies!

Well done to all the cheese and chocolate nommers.

GTbaby · 06/10/2013 23:54

So this is what I heard of so much last year. Cluster feeding. Confused A has finally gone to sleep. But for how long.

Thanks for the info YW. Did not know that. Yes I'm house bound. A few exceptions have been made.
Medical appointments with mw n tongue tie lady. Temple on Hs bday. And his bday meal at a local restaurant.
I'm going to see what tomorrow brings in terms of mw n feeding. I know it's only an issue at 2weeks old however FH will press for top ups.
I am split between giving them or not.
I found today's cluster feed difficult. But more importantly ATM I don't want to argue with FH. He is stressed out with his dad being in hospital (by pass op) so I just want to keep the peace.
As I'm at my mums I'm tempted to say ok to top ups but not to actually do it. Blush However I hate lying. N don't think I could actually do it. Even to keep the peace.

Ok my brain is turning to new born haze mush.

Night night
