((lily)) You are truly amazing.

Wahey for new shoes pass - I was eyeing some up in Clarke's the other day for M but think I'll wait until she is properly walking outside.

Petite can you get hold of a foot measurer and order them online/off ebay that way?

I have a very snotty baby. My phone has been fixed (under warranty, hoorah phones4u - excellent service!) but I can't go and get it thanks to Miss Snotters. I'm really quite worried about her. Last night was horrendous and she spent most of it choking on her own snot and kicking us. An hours sleep tops? So we are having a duvet afternoon and not going anywhere.

I say as I realise the calpol has kicked in and she is now chasing the dog around the table, giggling like a maniac

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 13:57

Chasing according to my driving instructor, I was the only student who has ever tried to teach HIM how to drive Blush. I remember questioning EVERYTHING!

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 14:15

MM have you got one of those plug in menthol vapouriser thingies for her bedroom? I've not got round to getting one but Mums from playgroup swear by them and you've reminded me I must get one in for when he gets his first cold of the autumn / winter. Glad to hear she's on the mend with her best pal hope the mucus fucks the fuck off asap - I came downstairs to find Jonas and Betsy waving / pawing at me madly against the glass of the dining room door and smearing it in general feck. Despite the additional cleaning (how do I stop the house smelling doggy???) I'm now at the relax and enjoy them being such buddies rather than the 'OMG why did I add a puppy to my workload' phase Grin. One week til we can go out!!!!

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 14:23

I don't no. Must invest. I have been putting baby olbas oil on her medicine monkey (a cuddle toy) and leaving him on her radiator.

QQ I am meant to be working at about 4ish. Just from home. Do I cancel? She is MISERABLE. Sad

Doggy smell? Ermm. Aulay spends a lot of time in the garden. I have invested in a few more scented candles and a wicker oil thingy. I also have no sense of smell Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 06/10/2013 14:45

I gave up on the house smelling of dog thing.

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 14:48

MM I didn't find Aulay smelt particularly doggy but Betsy is a right stinky wee terrier and I'm starting to notice our house smelling of her. I'm just going to get the cleaner in early I reckon. As for taking the time off - is P around could he sit with her or does she just want you (if the latter I'd be inclined to put work on hold if you can but realise it's not always that easy)? Poor wee sausage. Poor you too.

Jonas has decided that when Mummy crawls on the floor and chases after him for kisses it is comedy gold. And also that he should pick up balls in his mouth. Like the dog.

Passmethecrisps · 06/10/2013 14:53

Mammoth chick pea and spinach curry on the hob. Bit of a "what's in the fridge that needs using?" Curry which can be frozen. Hope it's ok.

I have a plug in menthol thing mm and I think it is amazing. Put it on and close the bedroom door 90 minutes before bedtime and by the time it comes to bedtime the room is thick with it. The one I have smells quote nice as well - mixed with lavender.

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 15:13

He is at work YW. I have cancelled them until next week. They were fine about it (read glad of the day off!) Duvet afternoon for me and M.

Thanks pass - I will have a wee look on amazon! Curry sounds awesome.

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2013 15:13

Not caught up, but need to post otherwise I never will. I do not want to lose you Smile

Missing the Haggis meet sadly as I have two poorly little ones. I have never seen so much vomit in my life. Back at work tomorrow.

Big hugs to all. I will endeavour to keep up from here.

MissMummy1 · 06/10/2013 15:16

Missed you. Hugs to poorly littlies. M is a giant snotball today, but thankfully no vom. Good luck tomorrow x

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2013 16:04

Congratulations Apple Grin

Any other big news I have missed?

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2013 16:16

Thank you MM. Sorry to hear M is not so good.

ChasingDaisy · 06/10/2013 17:18

Yay VQ is back! Grin. I've missed you xx

Lily311 · 06/10/2013 17:40

((Pidj)) I often wonder about you-I think in a way we experienced very similar thing: being robbed of our maternity leave. You worrying about your DP, his health, money, job-really not fair.

I was very tearful for most of the day but ok now. I need a day like this. Revision also went better than expected. Tomorrow is another day and let's hope it's a better one.

apple congratulations!
vq welcome back

Pikz · 06/10/2013 17:55

Runs in and rugby tackle cuddles VQ. Missed you.

PurplePidjin · 06/10/2013 18:06

Lily, I'm lucky. He's still here with the emotional support even when physically his body lets him down. But i can empathise with you because i had a lot of my security ripped away, and my future turned upside down. I don't do sympathy, it's patronising. Whenever you feel down, know there's someone here - and i won't be the only one, just the one who's been through it most closely and recently - who knows what you mean x

My maternity leave was only ever going to be 6 weeks, i work 3 hours a week in a youth club and needed to go back for my sanity! :o

YellowWellies · 06/10/2013 19:28

VQ woo hoo! Good luck for tomorrow chick and I hope the small folks are on the mend.

I'm counting down the weeks til I'm no longer having to do my freelance on a weekend and the bear is in nursery a couple of days a week. I hate just having one fun weekend day with DH and J though I do appreciate him being 'me' on a Sunday so I can work. Plus my earnings will double which will help the savings my eBay addiction.

So I ended up eating a quarter of a box of Roses Blush since when did they get so shit and lose half the flavours? Rubbish! Jonas has been a bit more whingy today and I don't know if its dairy, me working or the 3 top teef trying to come through at once. Hmm

I'm sure he'll be cheered up by the woolly tights I've just bought him. Poor boy if he'd stop pulling his socks off he'd not have the indignity of enforced cross dressing Grin .

Hope everyone else has had a lovely weekend and that poorly munchkins are feeling better asap.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/10/2013 19:49

Today, F was leafing through the Lakeland catalogue, and kissing licking any pictures of humans she came across. Sir Terry Wogan was a particular fave Hmm

Welcome back VQ, nice to have the quiche mum back in residence, even if it is with the faint whiff of vom Grin. Hope valium prince and princess are feeling better soon.

TheDetective · 06/10/2013 20:39

I put DS1 in tights :) Worked well here! I had 3 pairs to match different things, red, navy and white. No one knew any different!

O wouldn't be happy in them, sweaty sod! Grin

Happy birthday for yesterday to Evil's N! Cake

And tomorrow for Chick's H! More Cake!

Can't believe this time last year I was getting ready to doing my last week! And then 6 weeks of waiting... waiting... and more waiting. Possibly the most patient pregnant woman ever?! Grin

Pass I need to get O's shoes. I can't bring myself to buy them though. It feels like the end of the baby days, and hello toddler days. How silly, right?! Must get some this week as I am sure he would love to go for a little walk in the park.

VQ Welcome back mummy! Grin

Lily :( I am thinking of you. Thanks Wine

BP I'm with F. I luffs ole Tel! Blush I spent many years wishing he was my dad Confused.

GT You are doing a great job :) I still think you are crazy!! Grin BTW, for what it's worth, if you want to carry on BF, I wouldn't worry what is found tomorrow. If he hasn't put weight on, that's fine. It isn't expected til day 10-14. So you have a good few more days yet before it is 'an issue'.

Sure there was more I wanted to say. Melted brain here!

Oh, DP said to me earlier how O went down great for his nap. He said 'I didn't even need to give him a quick rock and a pat so he knew it was sleep time'. I pulled this Confused face. Dipstick! O hasn't needed that for almost 3 months now! He knows this. So fuck knows why he is doing that?! I just put him straight down with his muslin and Ewan on, and he goes straight off. He doesn't even whinge when he is trying to sleep now. He's really got it for now. So what is DP doing?! ARGHH!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 20:41

Hug vq please sit down for a Brew

Lovely Sunday in the fairy house, church, beach, Sunday dinner, two crazy boys, mummy being frazzled, daddy imploring "mummy is getting a bit cross".

Then they go to bed.

And I want to get them up again to tell them how much I love them.

Anyway....it is my second period since the sterilisation. The first one was ok, and this one is the usual 34 days after the last one so all good there. But, and this may be TMI but I have been using super plus tampons because it can be quite heavy for the first couple of days, but it seems to make my fanjo ache and my piles from pregnancy reappear. And sitting down is all achey. Does this just mean I shouldn't use the super enormous rocket size tampons? Has anyone else had this? Am I odd.

pass hope the chickpea curry was good! we had one last night and then I leftovers in a wrap today with raita for a quick lunch. Yum.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 20:42

Oh det I was thinking of getting O some tights, I am on the look out for navy and red, don't know where I could get them in the correct size though.

Pikz · 06/10/2013 20:48

h and m sophia. I have navy and grey ones for L.

On the tampon thing...I can't use super plus as they make me ache, I have to change super ones more often if that makes sense.

ChasingDaisy · 06/10/2013 20:49

Have tried to write this post about 5 times and keep deleting. Hate Sunday nights. Hate weekends. Hate evenings. Lonely and blah.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 20:49

Oh great thanks pikz on both counts. What do you do at night though?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2013 20:51

Hate hate hate hate hate.

Hugs chasing just about to make a cuppa in time for Downton. Want one?
