Welcome back VQ hope the LOs get better soon and did I read that you are going back to work today. Hope that goes okay. I started back 2 weeks ago and it's not as bad as I thought. Chasing I don't think there were birthdays yesterday but we had H's birthday party and it was lovely. I hardly took any photos which I'm really gutted about. With my first we had a lovely photo and video. It was a lovely day. It's his birthday today and Donnas LO too. GT I think you are doing amazingly and I think FH has every right to his opinion but at the end of the day it's up to you how you feed your child. I can't remember who it was who said it but someone on here said you need to be confident and believe in your body. I know at the beginning it's not easy but I believed I could and I did. I think that if you want to bf your child then just let others know that that's what's going to happen and that's it! But if you want to give top ups then that should be your decision but what ever you decide to do you should embrace it and be happy with it, not forced into something because of pressure from others.

Thechick · 07/10/2013 03:55

I can't sleep. I've been awake for an hour. Think I might watch a film. My free trial of Netflix runs out soon, so I should probably use it while I can. The whole household is asleep.

GTbaby · 07/10/2013 06:02

Argh! H is awake. Mum has taken him down Confused why didn't she just ignore him! WHY! He would have gone bk to sleep.

Kirrin · 07/10/2013 06:33

Nice to see you back VQ Hope all the illnesses fuck off quickly and that work goes ok today :)

((Hugs)) lily you have been so strong. It is only natural to have bad days, and things like reunions must be extra hard xxx

GT I think the pressure to do top up feeds seems petty common. It's still very early days and you are doing really well. Trust your instincts - you know your body and your baby best.

apple how are you doing?

I have been rubbish at keeping up the last couple of days so apologies for everything I haven't mentioned - I have been reading though - I just wanted to post before heading off to work.

StuntNun · 07/10/2013 07:00

Nursery again for us... Wonder if we can make lunch..

YellowWellies · 07/10/2013 08:07

Bear up 10, 11 and 11.30 then 3 and 7.30 with squeaking pain cries I managed 7 interrupted hours between that thanks to taking turns with DH so shouldn't complain. Teef or dairy? None for me until Friday now. Especially as DH is in Aberdeen tonight doing his BOSIAT (annual offshore safety including practising helicopter ditching) tomorrow so I'm on my own tonight.

Pennie for SMA you need to have worked freelance or as an employee for 26 weeks in the 66 weeks to the week before your baby is due. You need to apply with your mat b form and be up to date with NI class 2s and class 4s. If you've got a small earnings exemption certificate you'll only be entitled to £30ish a fortnight (so don't get one!!!!) otherwise its £270 a fortnight. You'll have to check with HMRC if it's payable overseas. You can only receive it for 35 weeks after the day your baby is born. I miss mine!

Stunt boo to weekends of the shit variety. Sad

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/10/2013 08:15

Oh no yw but well managed.

Rubbish stunt do you want to share or forget about it?

Hope your midwife visit goes ok today gt

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2013 08:46

Morning quiche. LO didn't cry when I dropped her off this morning. First time ever.

fruitpastilles · 07/10/2013 08:56

Happy birthday to chick and donna lo's

Good luck with nursery today pikz

Yay for no crying pr I bet you loved that.

I hope it's teefs and not dairy yw I've been so pleased that you have been able to nom Mars bars and pasties! I'd hate for you to have to stop again.

Hi vq hope work goes well today and that J and B are better this morning.

S was up at 4 so dp brought her in with us and she slept till 7:30. I feel worse for it though, I'm usually up at the crack of dawn with her.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2013 09:15

pikz not crying at dropoff took 6 weeks btw Shock

StuntNun · 07/10/2013 09:27

Just a weekend of DH being a twunt at the kids and me so I'm glad he's off to work. I accused him of having 'whatever the opposite of rose-tinted glasses is'. Also the Nationwide have screwed up our mortgage offer which is bound to cause further delays. It'll be a miracle if we get to move house after all their errors and delays.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2013 09:32

Sounds shit stunt (((hugs))) I hope he wakes up one day and realises what a lucky bugger he is and starts treating you all better :(

As for Nationwide, I thought they were supposed to be one of the better ones Hmm

Pikz · 07/10/2013 09:52

PR tell me it gets better right??

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2013 09:57

Yeah it's great. Even though she cried every day until now the last few weeks she stopped as soon as i left. She has big naps, big meals and plays. She has lots of fun it is really good for her apart from the permanent cold She even gives the nursery staff big sloppy bites kisses.

ChasingDaisy · 07/10/2013 11:27

Lily311 · 07/10/2013 15:43

Happy birthday to chick and donna lo!

Can I just share a very very good news? You remember how we battled with O's hip and did months and months of physio? We just had an appointment with the specialist and she is absolutely fine! I am so grateful and happy, she is fine, she is just fine!

fruitpastilles · 07/10/2013 16:39

lily that is brilliant news. I'm so so pleased for you and O xx

PetiteRaleuse · 07/10/2013 16:49

Great news lily

pikz it might be worth going all three days from now? The more he goes the easier it will be for him to get used to it. LO goes every day mon to fri, Mondays are usually the worst.
