Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh dear.

We just had an emotional nursery pick up. A's favourite staff member is leaving to do a foundation degree, so today was their last day together. No more pictures coming home of him in funny hats.

But the good news is that we're only going to send him with one bottle in future. They saved it for the afternoon and he ate all his lunch, his tea and drank the whole bottle for a change.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/09/2013 19:34

Mot was £315 not too bad. Gone on dp's boss' account anyway. Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 19/09/2013 19:36

Oh and beasty he's done it from today rather than when it ran out!

utopian99 · 19/09/2013 19:55

Yay for not spotty, glad to hear you're on the mend beasty. WL O was up a lot of last night with his teething/cold combo so healthy eating has gone AWOL.I feel awful hearing his little snuffly nose but he seems better than I would be in his situation..

I had an awful moment earlier, was trying to change a majorly grim nappy and he just wouldn't lie still so it went everywhere, including on me and I lost it and used some awful language and then put him in the (empty) bath while I sorted out the mess and he just cried and cried but I was so angry. Now feel absolutely awful and he is on my lap asleep after bath and snuggly feed to try to make up for it but I feel like the sort of mother social services keep a watch on. Sad

Utopian don't feel bad. I've left dd in the sitting room and slammed the door twice today Blush just write off today and start again tomorrow Wine

Stacks · 19/09/2013 20:10

Utopian, I think today is just a bad day. Must be something in the air, change in the weather maybe? I got furious with T earlier, though I knew it was just because I felt so guilty about him crying so much, though at the same time if he'd just have stopped bloody crying we'd all have felt better!

halestone · 19/09/2013 20:24

Utopian don't feel bad we all have those days Thanks O knows you love him.

Beasty yay to the one bottleGrin

I think it's a full moon?!

WLmum · 19/09/2013 21:00

Kids all asleep, kitchen is tidy enough, wine is in the glass. Then bed.
Sound like a rough day all round.
utopian don't feel bad, we all reach the end of our tethers from time to time. You put him somewhere safe while you sorted it out. He may have cried but he was safe and you needed 5 minutes out. Sounds like a lovely snuggle now.
I shouted at dd2 today which was rotten as I know she's tired and coldy but I'd had enough of the whining and crying about nothing.
I was grumpy to DH too as he was quite oblivious to just how crap my night was.
beasty that's great that A had a close relationship at nursery, hope he finds a replacement buddy soon. T eats meals better when I'm at work so gets less milk.

pmgkt · 19/09/2013 21:27

Hi guys. I don't get to keep up much but do we have any walkers yet?

WLmum · 19/09/2013 21:27

T has been loving playing in the pop up tent today. Was going to upload pics to fb but my status button has disappeared!

utopian99 · 19/09/2013 21:30

Thanks, maybe just an awful day, it's just that he's beenso snuffly and coldy today and needed cuddles and then I went and did that - feels like I let him down.

He has been sleeping happily since 8pm though and dh has just got home from a work drinks so I've even managed to get a load of drawing done. Just warming fish pie now and a nice Wine (not warming that!) for us to snuggle up and slob with.

WLmum · 19/09/2013 21:31

Hello pmgkt yep, utopians little fella is off already. My T is going some great independent standing so I'm sure she'll be much sooner walking than dd1&2 but I don't want to hurry it as she's my last buby growing up.

WLmum · 19/09/2013 21:51

Just on way to bed via a cuddle with T. Please let tonight be better than last night. School photo tom, am hoping to get all 3 of them in it.

WLmum · 19/09/2013 22:13

And again. Not looking good is it. Fx the calpol I just forcedgave her helps.

halestone · 19/09/2013 23:59

SpottyTeacakes · 20/09/2013 04:35

Dd wet the bed and woke ds up who now thinks it's time to get up. Pretty sure by the time he's ready to sleep I will have to get up for work Sad

2blessed · 20/09/2013 05:05

Sleep babies sleep!

R woke up at 4.30 had a feed and is ready to play!

utopian99 · 20/09/2013 05:20

Sorry for those with poor sleep.
After two pretty dire nights O has slept 9.30-5! I woke up a couple of times panicked anyway though. He is now having a nice snuggle with me but the cold has progressed to a horrid cough. Poor little crumb.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/09/2013 06:14

It's ok he went back down before five and is still asleep. So glad I'm still fb not sure what I would have done otherwise Confused

I thought he was awake again a minute ago but it was cats fighting in the garden Grin

itsMYNutella · 20/09/2013 07:06

Spotty lol that your DS sounds like cats fighting in the garden Wink.

Utopian DS has always been a major wriggler and the change for bed is extra hard if he is tired and it drives me insane! As soon as you pick him up he is fine and happy; but you'd think I was trying to change him on a bed of hot coals the way he moves and whines sometimes!Confused

We had a super crap night Sad DS woke just after 11pm and would scream as soon as he got close to bed. We tried everything - even fed him - and at about 12:45 we put him in bed between us and he went straight to sleep Blush

He slept fairly well in with us. DP got up and said he had a great nights sleep. I of course was the one sleeping lightly looking after DS. I. Am. So. Tired. Sad

itsMYNutella · 20/09/2013 07:06

I agree with whoever mentioned the moon. They're not called lunatics for nothing!

itsMYNutella · 20/09/2013 09:41

My baby is broken... Ha has been asleep for 1 hour and 20 minutes nearly.... Hmm Of course on the one day I want to go out!!

WLmum · 20/09/2013 09:53

Another horrendous night here and up for the day at 6.15. I'm now getting their cold and feel shocking. DH is off this morning so I was going to grab a rest but stuff has come up which means that's now highly unlikely. Feeling v sorry for myself.

Stacks · 20/09/2013 10:28

Argh, sorry to hear about bad nights again. T slept 7:45-7:15, which is amazing. I had to cut his nap short this morning for swimming though, so he's only had 20m. Hopefully it's enough to keep him happy till lunch.

He's really started babbling the last couple of days. We'd not had any sounds at all before this (apart from screams) so it's a really noticeable change. It's adorable hearing him chatter away to himself :) We seem to have the start of another cold though, he's not long got over the last one. Tis the season and all that though.

Do people think we might be getting into the nighttime separation anxiety age? I got an email yesterday from one of these baby things saying to expect it. T is one of the younger ones on the thread so hoping I've got a little while yet!
