spotty I'm beginning to think I need a slow cooker! Do I?! Any recommendations?

My mum bought us one a couple of years ago it's breville and really good but it's so massive I can't use it as things just burn! It's good for joints of meat though. So I just bought a tesco £15 one (3l) and it's great. It's got high, low and warm and the lid of the handle is plastic so doesn't get hot. It's great in winter I've read on here of people putting it on overnight and having nice warm breakfast too. I just find from 4pm so stressful as the dc are tired and hungry and it's so much calmer knowing dinner is done. Also if they want it earlier they can and I can just keep it warm for when dp and I eat later

Thanks. I feel bit like I'm neglecting the cooking lately! And, like you say, tea time can be hectic! And some times baby lazza is ready for tea before the rest of us so I end up cooking twice. Might investigate......

Hi everyone, sorry I keep disappearing, havent had a minute to myself since the kids went back to school.

Oliver has 2 new teeth Grin so he has 8 now altogether. He keeos getting mistaken for an older baby though. DS2s teacher said to me the other day "wow, hes big for 1 isnt he?" Hmm Ive had a few people give similar comments. Hes on track weight wise for his birth weight though and the HV is pleased with him so Im not worried, hes just my little big man Smile

None of us woke up until 7:10 when dp suddenly started rushing around because he'd overslept. Lovely sleep, grumpy dp.

FoD my thoughts are still with you, it seems you have a great support network and your mum was obviously very loved by everyone who knew her
