Shock I've run out of calpol!

Hales sounds like a productive morning Smile

Dp found dd in our bedroom last night and she had my mascara. It was in her mouth, hair on her eye brows, her eye lids and my bedding Hmm

Barbeasty · 18/09/2013 13:27

Spotty it's a fun age!! Hope the mot goes well.

I'm still in pyjamas, watching rubbish day time tv, hoping I stop throwing up! At least the DC are at nursery.

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 13:48

Oh my god, the house is now in even more of a state than it was this morning! Had a friend round, she has ds same age as dd1 & he wrecks the place within about 2 mins! Literally every room has toys all over the place Confused. so, this afternoon I will be tidying....again!!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 14:06

Oh no lazza!

Oh beasty it's rubbish being ill. Ds has been asleep 2.5 hours and I've just been asleep on the sofa for almost two Blush trying to muster some enthusiasm to get up my friend will be dropping dd home in just over an hour will have to apologise for the state of the house!

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 14:33

Good sleeping from your DS though spotty Smile. might make a difference tomorrow morning. Some people say early waking is down to over tiredness....but then others say it's because they sleep to much in the day Confused

I just keep looking at the mess but my legs seem to have stopped working. Will have to sort it though. My mum coming down later as I have a work meeting to go to tonight & DH away (again!).

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 15:01

There's no rhyme or reason really is there?!

Ds has a really sore nose from me wiping it all the time what's best to put on it?

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 15:14

No, there's not. I drove myself mad with it with dd1. It got better when I just accepted she was an early riser!

Maybe try E45 or sudocrem on nose? Or if it's not too bad you could use Vaseline to create a snot barrier!

halestone · 18/09/2013 16:10

Beasty i hope your feeling better soonThanks

Lazza leave the cleaning for your mum hahaWink

Spotty i think i'd use sudocrem. Hope his nose is better soon

Take care beasty

lazza my home looks like a tip too and this afternoon I have a velcro baby.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 16:22

Car needs three new tyres but fine otherwise Smile

My house is awful atm it's really stressing me out!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 18:11

Anyone know a good amber teething necklace? I'm willing to try anything right now! Ds fell off the bottom stair onto the hard floor earlier, our stair gate's up a step and he was standing up whoops!

2blessed · 18/09/2013 19:00

Bet thats a relief about your car spotty. Sorry don't know anything about teething necklaces. Hope your DS is ok after his fall

PurplePidjin · 18/09/2013 19:24

Dino daisy on fb, or i think grand old oak? Or ebay if you know whattolok for :)

R has an ebay cheapie dark one and a lovely blonde one my mate brought back from Lithuania recently. He looks like a little surfer!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 19:37

Pidj they say 'not suitable for under 36 months' but that's just to cover them isn't it? I was looking at this one

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 19:39

Oh it's out of stock Hmm

WLmum · 18/09/2013 19:53

Evening all! We seem to have the cold too - 3 little snot monsters, I'm sure it won't be long before there's 2 big ones too. Thankfully no-one seems to feel too awful.

I'm making pakoras and dall for t - yum! Bit of a thank you to my mum who seems to have been here for almost 2 days straight.

PurplePidjin · 18/09/2013 20:18

R wears his all the time. Didn't help when he cut both bottom ones at once but the others have/are coming through with just occasional grumpiness cured by teething gel/calpol :)

WLmum · 18/09/2013 20:26

Uh oh spoke too soon, just given little hot face a dose of calpol and and I'm getting snotier by the minute. Bah.

WLmum · 18/09/2013 20:28

spotty my house is too. I currently feel like I will always be chasing my tail as far as a clean ordered house is concerned.

utopian99 · 18/09/2013 20:29

O has his lateral incisors coming through now and he's hating it. Is amber particularly good for teeth?

beasty sorry you're feeling grim and hope it's subsiding by now?

spotty yay for the car! (Need to check ours soon)

lazza no matter that at present we're living in a tiny flat, O always throws food around the entire dining area and I shed hair everywhere else and now we have a permanent row of tiny hand prints halfway up the TV screen..

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 21:24

We've got two dd sized chocolate hand prints on the wall which I haven't washed off even though I spotted them at the weekend Blush

Dp bought me a box of orange segsations and some more tampons Grin he knows how to treat a lady!!

Thanks pidj I've found one on amazon I think looks good and they said they can do whatever size you like, what size is R's as I think him and ds are about the same Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 21:40

Also I realised earlier on that ds is still in a summer sleeping bag, I don't even have a winter one, so I bought a 3.5 tog one with sleeves from amazon (our place gets cold). Maybe that will make a difference?!

itsMYNutella · 18/09/2013 22:10

Spotty awwwww yup, your DP knows what ladies need Wink
I still put DS in a summer sleeping suit too. Although I'm sure he is warm enough (or at least the grobags thermometer tells me he should be).

Utopian DS has an amber necklace... I don't know if it helps. His top teeth have come through with minimal fuss... I daren't take it off just in case Grin but I can't see how it would work Hmm

Wl (if it was you, sorry; I'm going to blame baby brain!) I hope you're feeling better! I hope all mummies feel good & babies sleep well too!!

I think the German mummies are mental. It was 10 degrees out so not freezing but not warm. One mummy at the course today, who is rather odd anyway, dressed her baby in: a body, thick tights, trousers and at least one pair of socks, a long sleeved top, a thick hooded top and then she put him in his car seat Confused the poor cooked thing wasn't even going to be outside!!! I dressed DS in long sleeved body, dungarees, socks, shoe type thingies, and a knitted wooly jumper with a hood. He also had a thin blanket on him and we were outside. His little hands were juuuust right not too warm or too cold

itsMYNutella · 18/09/2013 22:11

beasty sorry! Hope you're feeling much better soon!!

  • sorry!
FriendofDorothy · 18/09/2013 22:39

I have started to put The Little Mister to bed in a 2.5 tog sleeping bag and a babygro. He seems ok in that. Poor little poppet is really distressed by his teeth tho. He has no teeth through yet but keeps waking up suddenly and screaming. Poor thing :(
