Wow Utopian I think that might count! It would in my book anyway :) T is almost doing unassisted standing, kind of by accident. T really needs to get on the move, he gets cranky stuck in one place but doesn't seem to try moving himself unless he's holding hands and can walk there. Sigh.

Still no teething here either, so no advice or experience to impart. :)

WLmum · 17/09/2013 21:01

utopian that counts! Amazing! What a clever boy.

Barbeasty · 17/09/2013 21:06

Yay MrPidj. Hope it goes well for him.

Whatever A has, he has given to us. He's so generous! But he must have had a horrible sore throat. MIL said he nearly walked to DD today, but just paused and lost the impetus.

Small DD update: yesterday she drew a green whiteboard marker Mr Potato which reaches from elbow to wrist. It's because she was sad and it makes her feel better.

She went on to spill a pot of glitter in the kitchen. A still has bits on his face, and DH hasn't spotted the glittery crotch on his trousers that were drying at the time....

We also had a discussion about the horned cows, sitting on the common as we drove past. Apparently they really were reindeer not cows. The subject changed when I pointed out that reindeer "horns" have branches.

Today she refused to get out of the car. She changed her mind on the way home, and rather than going to her pretend school (home) she wanted to go to her real school. I had to wait 20 minutes until she fell asleep to get her out. She says she has grown and is now big enough for school. She is 3.3!

Sorry for anyone I've missed- with A's waving thumping arm it's taken a while to post this. Yesterday he punched DD's eye rather than picking a thread to read on my phone!

2blessed · 17/09/2013 22:16

Congrats on the job mrpidj

That's fantastic news utopian!

we've had a a few unassisted stranding moments here too. DP nearly choked up when it first happened on Friday evening.

We start sign and sign on Friday, I'm super excited. we went to a taster session in July and learned a few bits. R now knows the sign for 'milk' which he finds hilarious but knows exactly where to go to get his mummy milk Grin.

Love love love your DD tales beasty.

halestone · 17/09/2013 22:26

Congratulations Mr PidjThanks

Utopian wow of course that counts what a clever boyThanks

Mama H does the head shake we call it her Stevie Wonder impression. Shes been doing it since a couple of weeks before she got teeth. I think one of her molars is coming through now seriously what does a 9 month old need 9-10 teeth for?

Nutella we have a hit and miss napper here too. Today shes had two 30 minute naps this usually translates into a horrendous sleep and as shes going down fighting now i'm in for another bad night. She tends to nap better in the day if i can force her 1st nap between 1.5-2 hours after shes first woke. I really have to force it though usually by listening to music and rocking her. If she misses that 1st nap the whole day goes to pot.

R thinks its playtime! Been up a couple of times with him so brought him into our bed and he's just determined to wake up DP.

MaMaPo · 18/09/2013 05:34

Third wake and feed. She's feeding so hard! Not biting but pushing her face hard into the breast. I knew last nights amazing sleep had to be a one off.

Barbeasty · 18/09/2013 05:43

A started screaming as soon as his head hit the cot when I got up this morning.

I feel sick and really drained. All I want to do is gi back to bed.....

And as I wrote that I had to run to be sick. Day off for me then! Although I feel much better now! And bless A, even though I left the stair gate open he didn't escape.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 05:45

Mama ds does that sometimes not sure why.

Wow utopian definitely counts.

We haven't had any unaided standing yet although he's always standing up against something.

Sorry everyone I've missed. Ds woke at 5:15 today so an improvement. He's just opened our bedroom door and is trying to decide whether to go into the bathroom or dd's and his room. Oh no he's decided to stand at the stair gate Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 05:53

Oh no beasty hope you get better soon!

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 06:14

spotty we were up at 4.45. (although only one quick wake up at 1am before that). just wondering....what are you doing about breakfast & first naps with your early starts?

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 06:24

Ds cries until he goes downstairs and then cries until he gets breakfast. He then cries because he's tired so morning nap is always two hours after wake up. It messes up the entire day but there's not much I can do.

I'm really losing my patience this morning he's just crying and snotting and pulling my bloody hair. He's always pulling my hair out in clumps I'm so fed up. I know he's feeling ill but he's just whinging and crying all the time at the moment. I'm feeding him to try and calm him down and he's just whining whilst feeding.

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 07:02

Oh, that's miserable. Baby lazza is obsessed with pulling hair too, she even pulls her own (really hard!) when she's tired. She's just gone back to sleep, we still do the 2 hour thing too. Even though it means she goes back to sleep just as everyone else is getting up! Confused hope DS wakes up in a better mood for you.

Hope you feel better soon beasty

Impressive walking utopian

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 07:09

He just had a 15 minute boob nap but is moaning again now. He also pulls his hair when he's tired!

Car mot today fingers crossed everyone!

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 07:31

Oh bugger, she only slept for 30mins!

Hope car passes Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 07:49

I've put ds to bed as he's obviously tired and he's just screaming. I've been in and patted etc and he just will not stop screaming. He's awful at the moment. I've left him to it for a bit because I'm getting so wound up. I swear this has all happened since I went back to work where, it turns out, all the partners are utter wankers.

Sorry for all the moans this morning Blush I'm feeling super stressed and unhappy about it all. Going to make a sausage casserole to cheer me up Smile

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 08:09

Don't apologise Spotty. It's hard. I do my fair share of moaning on early. Early mornings are relentless and eventually you hit a wall. Hope DS is sleeping now & you get a breather. If not, can you get him out in pushchair? Maybe not with older DD, but he might crash out that way? Walk in the fresh air might help you de-stress too.

Baby lazza is now munching away on toast (having already had weetabix at 6am!). Have been a it naughty though and given her little drink of whole milk with it. Is that ok? She is still bf so it's not to replace that. But she doesn't like formula and it seems to upset her tummy. But she gets desperate to have the same as her big sister, who always starts the day with a cup of warm milk.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 08:15

Lazza I think that's fine. Dd is at nursery today. I think ds has finally dropped off but I'm sat on dd's bed rocking him. There's not really anywhere to walk around here as all roads are narrow, steep and windy. I've seen the way people drive and I don't like to risk it plus I'm too unfit to get up the hills right going to attempt to put him down!

Just bought the Melissa and doug wooden stacker for ds for Christmas as shown on the bargains thread Smile

FriendofDorothy · 18/09/2013 08:17

Where is this Christmas bargains thread?

On a completely different issue....

Did anyone else find that when their periods came back that the length of their cycle was slightly skewy?

I am on day 19 and have got bleeding today. Not much, just like the start of a very light period I guess.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 08:29

It's in Christmas, which is in fun and games. It's called 'today I squeezed out a baby and missed the sainsburys salad bowl in the process' Grin

Well I had my first period, really light lasted a week, about a month later I got my second, really light for a week off for a day now back again and heavier Hmm I have no idea what's going on. If you're ttc I would get some ovulation sticks as it might be that they're all over the place for a while

FriendofDorothy · 18/09/2013 08:30

I have a fertility monitor which is behaving weirdly! Giving me lots of highs but not a peak reading!

lazzaroo · 18/09/2013 08:46

friendofdorothy be warned it's highly addictive!

Fair enough spotty, sounds like that would be quite a stressful walk!

Baby lazza has now polished off a banana (left lying around by DD) and I just had to wrestle DD's cup from her which had diluted pineapple juice in it....she was not happy to give that up Blush.

halestone · 18/09/2013 08:56

FoD mine are still i didn't use any birth control for the 1st 3 periods and they were all over the place. No routine at all then had the injection and bled for 4 weeks and spotting ever since.

Spotty FX for the car and that DS has gone down ok.

Lazza baby lazza is hungry today i can't wait for H to have a day like that.

Today i have got H up and dressed, my nans picked her up for a few hours so i can get my hair done Grin. So far i have cleaned the cooker ad kitchen. Cleaned the living room. Bleached the bathroom and downstairs toilet and brushed and mopped all the floorsGrin Now i can relax whilst i wait for the hairdresser.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/09/2013 09:07

Argh smoke alarms just went off bet that's woken ds! (What is it with sausages?!)

itsMYNutella · 18/09/2013 09:38

spotty fingers crossed for the car MOT! Sorry about job woes. I wish I had a career but I appreciate I am lucky that I get to stay at home with DS.
Please send me some sausage casserole! I miss English sausages!

Hales DS is like that. If the fist nap gets fudged the whole day is loooong and stressful. I think of you whenever DP mentions that he would like a currywurst... I don't get it. It's just chopped up sausage in ketchup Hmm ah well. I get to steal his chips Grin

Well after three days of bad morning naps DS slept for about 50 mins this morning Blush but then I did give him a thing last night which works against teething maybe that helped... We only had two wake ups all night (2am and 5:30, then he woke about 7:30) it was great!
Thank goodness. Yesterday was a hard day and I was counting down the time until bedtime Confused
