I want another baby!!

Grin Car tax is ok, I get a reminder about that Wink

Barbeasty · 15/09/2013 19:49

Even with a garage that sends reminders for the MOT I've been driving to the garage with it overdue. The bugger is they date it to 12 months from the old expiry.

Glad the naming and christening have gone well.

A woke this morning with a totally blocked nose, and sounds like a pig as he feeds. I'm not sure what he'll make of his lowered cot, but I'll have to remember not to drop him, thinking it's at the higher level!

WLmum · 15/09/2013 20:39

spotty I've done that too - when dd2 was born we went about 4 months over.

I always wanted a tiny age gap but nature had other plans. I think what's been said already is right - it's a really personal thing about how you view the pros and cons.

nutella will you be getting married in the uk? I have a photographer friend who is amazing and I think her packages start about 1400. I'll try to do a link in a min. Sadly I don't think that's over the odds, and it is really important to have someone you feel comfortable with

WLmum · 15/09/2013 20:40

On such an emotional day. Photographers can really piss people off!

pidj and utopian glad ceremonies went well.

Don't think her prices are listed...

itsMYNutella · 15/09/2013 21:15

Wl we're getting married in Germany; in a beautiful building which is a "schloss" translated it means castle but I suppose this one is more like a stately home national trust type property. I've spoken to DP about it and he seems pretty keen on hiring this photographer (yay) and we've set up an appointment to meet her on Thursday but she seems lovely.
I totally understand what you mean about photographers pissing people off.

WLmum · 15/09/2013 21:39

That sounds lovely. Glad dp is agreeing with you! The photographer at the last wedding we went to was awful, really rude and stroppy. Took some nice pics but we were all giggling in a shocked sort of way. Tbh it was the weirdest wedding I've ever been to though! I recall now that you're getting married in Germany - any news on your brother attending?

2blessed · 15/09/2013 22:28

glad christening and naming ceremony went well Smile

nutella R pulls the books off my shelves too. I did fight it at first but now I just let him get on with it and then deal with the pile of books at the end of the day.
I don't put sugar on fruit salad either, however I was preparing strawberries and cream for friends during the summer and they insisted I sprinkled sugar on the strawberries. This was a new one for me and everyone thought I was strange...

Well done on the 10k isthat

We've had a lazy day today. R and I went to church and then when we got home I cooked pork belly and baked maple biscuits and double choc chip cookies. Was just that type of day for home cooking and comfort food. Off for another cookie.

WLmum · 15/09/2013 23:24

Have just force fed T some calpol. I really need some sleep tonight. Funny her teeth don't seem to bother her much in the day but are making her wake constantly through the night.

WLmum · 15/09/2013 23:41

She's asleep again after boobing. I'm not a happy bunny.

MaMaPo · 16/09/2013 00:03

I have my fingers crossed for you WL.

Yum baking, 2blessed! Sounds like a lovely day.

Up for a feed :( but I went to sleep at 8.45 so I don't feel horrendous.

Sleepy dust everywhere.

halestone · 16/09/2013 00:09

I'll join you WL i'm bed sharing H isn't capable of sleeping longer than 20 minutes in a rowHmm

I wrote a post before that didn't come up. Basically it said;

I'm glad O's naming day went well and also R's Christening dayThanks

Isthat i hope your feeling better. Congratulations on completing your 10kThanks

Nutella i hope you like the photographer i think its important to meet them 1st so that you know your getting what you want.

All this baby talk made me discuss another baby with DP. Although we were both very against having more he has surprised me by saying that its something we can discuss in a couple of years time. I agree that its a personal decision only you know whats best for you and your family. Good luck though Utopian and FoD and too you as well Stacks if you decide now is the time. Can't wait to hear your future good newsGrin

SpottyTeacakes · 16/09/2013 07:02

Ds LOVES the Mickey Mouse clubhouse on Disney jr BlushGrin full of smiles when it comes on!

Dp has been up all night with a bad stomach and been sick (I didn't even hear him!) and is contemplating going to work....where there's no toilet....Hmm

itsMYNutella · 16/09/2013 07:14

isthat well done on the running! T barely gives me enough time to shower. How do you fit in training? Very impressed. Hope you feel better.

Utopian and pidj glad your naming ceremony & christening went well.

2blessed those cookies sound awesome!! The fruit salad tasted really sweet and I wondered if there was honey or something on it so asked if they had put something on it "no" they said, "we'll just a spoonful of sugar". They had just been discussing that FIL's sugar (yes he's diabetic) is a bit high but they don't really know why

Later we had plum cake which they also sprinkled sugar on. Although FIL also had lots of squirty cream on his Hmm

wl yes I am getting married in Germany - as long as we get all the right forms together. Fortunately I don't have to have anything translated because English is the international language. And yes my brother, his wife & kids are coming! Sooo pleased! I think my mum bullied him into it. and is paying for the flights

DS is just waking up. I brought him to bed when he woke and boobed him into sleepy cuddles. Grin

itsMYNutella · 16/09/2013 07:16

spotty I'd tell your DP to rest, no one is going to think he's a hero if he goes in sick!
DS seems to be sleeping in really late since we got back from the UK. But then while we there his bedtime was pushed back to 9pm or later.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/09/2013 07:21

I think he's decided to stay home but he feels bad now!

Ds was in bed by 6:40. It's really cold here this morning so I think that and his bad cold might be waking him.

WLmum · 16/09/2013 07:41

DH were supposed to be going out tonight but I've just said let's postpone as I'm too knackered. T was up for an hour at 3.30 and dd2 was up twice Sad
I actually don't think it's teeth now getting T up, just habit as she's happy as larry when I go in and pick her up and doesn't appear to be in pain. Going to have to resurrect operation no more night boob.
Also she bit me with that tooth this morning! Ouch!

2blessed · 16/09/2013 08:44

nutella all I can say is Shock

Glad your DP has decided to stay home spotty hope he feels better soon.

itsMYNutella · 16/09/2013 11:19

2blessed I was very ConfusedShock when they said there was sugar on the fruit salad. Honestly it just tasted sweet instead of all the fruity flavours... But they are 69 & 72 so I guess they are old enough to do what they like Grin And, they are paying for a large portion of the wedding (lucky because I found out my tastes are expensive... Oops. It seems my inner wedding beast was always there I just didn't know it)
Although DP and I have privately agreed that they will up to a set amount and we will cover the rest.

Those who have gone from boob to bottle how do you do it? DS doesn't really feed enough during the day because he is a easily distracted nosy thing like his mum so I want to give him a couple of bottles and feed him possibly at bedtime and in the morning. Does that sound doable?

lazzaroo · 16/09/2013 11:26

nutella I'd try going straight to cup at ths age. You can skip bottles altogether then. I'm desperate to go to morning & night feeds only but baby lazza seems to have other ideas. I though going back to work would help, but she just waits till I get home!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/09/2013 11:42

I agree Nutella don't bother with a bottle. Ds doesn't feed in the day much either especially now I'm working. He always has a good morning feed though.

Ok so today I've taken dd to nursery, booked the car in, been to the post office, put the washing away and another load on, tidied the sitting room, made curried parsnip soup and stuck the chicken and chorizo casserole in the slow cooker. Need ds to wake up soon so I can give him lunch and get to work!

ddas · 16/09/2013 13:55

Wow spotty you put us all to shame! I've only managed to load a dishwasher, laundry & take them to the park. Really cold today but suns out- def coat weather again!

nutella worth getting a photographer you like as the day goes so quickly that it's the photos that you'll have left as memories.

We've got a 16 month age gap. We wanted a small gap but didn't think I'd get pregnant quite so quickly! First 6 months were hard but now getting easier every day & can see how soon they'll start playing & keeping each other entertained. Career wise for me a small gap was actually the best as now I've gone back & feel motivated as I'm not thinking of the next baby/when will I be going on mat leave again etc.. For me think 18-24 month gap is the best as less jealousy, close enough in age to want to play similar games & you get all the night feeds/nappies over & done with. I can't imagine now thinking in 4 years time I'll have to go through it all again as feel we're coming through the other side. But think different people suit different gaps- plus nature sometimes has it's own ideas!

wlmum dd is the same- up just to play at night. Put a video up on fb. Zzzzzzz

spotty & wlmum not sure if it was the last wkend but we went to see room on the broom at g live- really good. Ds loved it- worth seeing. Think the next one on is peppa pig but ds not such a fan.
