R cruises everywhere but hasn't got the hang of his walker yet Hmm met a mate and her 7mo in the park today and it really brought home how far R has come recently. He was crawling around on the grass, climbing up me and her chatting away, putting his hand up for high 5s... Heart melty moment Blush

Earlier bedtime seems to suit him. He went down dozy at 6:10 and was asleep by 6:11 without a murmer. Squeaked once at 9:30 apparently (I've been at work, Thursdays are normally a nightmare for dp) so fx he goes till 4 at least - 2 nights ago was 4:30 Shock last night was still 2 wake ups (3:15 and 4:30) but he settled much quicker - the difference being, he was back in his sleeping bag. That was 1tog, tonight hes in a 2.5. Pray for me, please!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 12/09/2013 23:19

Fx for you Pidj, someone should get some sleep, even if it's not me!

I'm off to Majorca WL fuck yeah!

Still not packed anything Shock

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/09/2013 03:47

Well after 1 and 1/4 hours of J trying to rip my hair out and smacking me in the nose, I've woken DP and got in the spare room as my patience was wearing dangerously thin. I've had 4 nights of no more than 3 hours sleep and now have his sore throat/ snotty nose and feel like shit. I need sleep!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 05:40

We've had a crappy night. Ds kept waking think he has a cold up for the day at 5:15

lazzaroo · 13/09/2013 06:27

Up at 4.55 today, that's early even by baby lazza's standards! Dd1 woke up aswell but managed to convince her to go back to sleep (only for an hour but better than nothing!).

She's just had some porridge and will probably have been back to sleep and awake again by the time most normal people are getting up!

Sorry there have been other bad nights too. It's especially hard now it's getting cold & dark!

Glad your DD is settling in WL. the first sign I usually get that dd1 is poorly is if she doesn't want to go to pre-school.

FriendofDorothy · 13/09/2013 06:54

We got an 8.5 hour stretch last night. Amazing!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 07:01

Oh lazza that is early! Dd slept until 7 (usually six at the latest) and woke having wet the bed I've left it for dp though!

I'm really nervous about today already got that shaky butterfly feeling.

Ds is nearly outgrowing his 3-6 month things

Maryland2013 · 13/09/2013 07:46

Hope it goes ok Spotty..

DS is outgrowing his 6-9!! I met a week old baby yesterday and she was so tiny it made DS seem massive!

My friend has a one year old (just) and she's having her next baby in Jan- eek!

Sorry to hear of bad nights and colds. DS had his second cold/virus in as many weeks and we've all been ill, what a miserable house!

Willyou we're going away too and also not packed. I'm hoping for sunshine and long sleeps plus DH to help with all the wake ups and feeding, ha ha.

PurplePidjin · 13/09/2013 08:55

Dp put his nappy on awkwardly and i was up 6 times before i thought to change him - he did the same a couple of weeks ago so assumed it wasn't that Angry

R is in 9-12

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/09/2013 08:55

Good luck with that Lazza Grin

I've had 3 hours sleep and look like shit. I have an agonising sore throat and get to go for a bikini wax now. On the plus side DP looks even worse than me Grin I need carbs, sugar and fat, stat! Cake

Maryland2013 · 13/09/2013 09:06

Covonia sore throat spray or difflam Willyou- both brilliant.

Pidj it could be worse, my friends DH forgot to put on their baby's nappy one night... Forgot!!??

WLmum · 13/09/2013 09:09

Good luck spotty
T is in 9-12 too, and toes at the end of today's baby gro!

We were up for the day at 5 too. I tried my hardest to get her back to sleep but she wasn't have any of it. Lucky for her she gets to be fast asleep again now.

We have a tooth!

Well jel of the sunny holidays.

WLmum · 13/09/2013 09:25

Not jealous of the packing or colds though - hope you feel better soon.

Stacks · 13/09/2013 10:15

We went AWOL again. T and I have both had an awful cold, which has progressed into a terrible cough. T is still wheezing but the dr said he's ok, just bring him back if I feel it's getting worse or I'm worried about him at all. She was really nice about it all.

We've got back to proper sleep these past two nights too, which is appreciated. T was getting better as I was feeling worse, so I needed that sleep. He was awake at 5 this morning, but I brought him into bed with me and he slept till 8:30! He really needs a nap now though, we're on our way to swimming and he's not napped yet this morning. It'll be a grizzly lesson if he doesn't get at least a little sleep.

AF has returned today too. I've been terrified of it returning - is it always awful after having a baby? At least it explains the stomach aches and meh feeling accompanying this cold.

Spotty I hope work goes well today. Good luck with whatever you decide, telling them or not.

Sorry for the bad sleep for people, grats on the tooth, and jealous of the holidays.

Barbeasty · 13/09/2013 11:56

Hope today's ok Spotty

Another DD story for you all, since you requested it.

She is with MIL today, and apparently has got her pipple (as she calls nipples) out to feed her baby doll. As soon as he saw it A lunged at DD's chest, thinking he was about to get a feed. DH phoned, to check everything was going ok. As MIL handed the phone to DD so she could talk to daddy, he heard DD ask "granny, should I put my milk away before talking on the phone"

Bless 'em.

I won't mention sleep. I think it might be me just waking up at about 4.30, then not really sleeping until I'm up at 5.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 14:35

So cute beasty!

Stacks mine is soooo light. Only had two but too light for tampons etc panty liner only and I haven't taken my pill for months so it's not that.

I chickened out as she wasn't in her office first thing Blush

PrunellaDeVille · 13/09/2013 14:38

so many poorly mothers, maybe the seasonal shift has taken it's toll.
another poorly one here, I've had an excrutiating headache for the last 2 days accompanied by dizziness, so much so I headed to the Dr this morning. his diagnosis was that I've basically hit the wall, my body can no longer cope with having C all day everyday and sleepless nights so he prescribed me complete rest Smile to which I laughed.
but a wonderful friend offered to take C for the afternoon until dh gets home. So I'm unbelievably free and quiet Smile . going back to bed for a bit - what luxury

utopian99 · 13/09/2013 16:07

Ooh lucky you Pru, although not the exhaustion to earn it!

Hope those going away have lovely holidays and hurray for T's tooth WL.

beasty another cracker, think you should collect a book of stories on your dd!

We are in a snoozy family heap. Staying at my parents where we're having O's naming. I've been making cake all morning with my mother Grin while dh plays with O. Now she is off collecting chairs and dh and O are both asleep on me. Now THIS version of motherhood I like!

WLmum · 13/09/2013 16:32

Might adopt pipple - so much nice than nipple!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 16:38

DD calls them nibbles Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 19:43

Poor ds is just a snot machine Sad

I think I'm going to sleep in with him tonight it appears dd is in our bed anyway HmmGrin

In case I end up bringing him into me are co sleeping rules the same with a 9.5mo as with a newborn?

WLmum · 13/09/2013 20:09

I've wondered that too spotty! I'd still go for not too warm, not able to wriggle down under the covers but no way would put her on the outside of the bed! Poor ds.

Hope work was not too stressful

SpottyTeacakes · 13/09/2013 20:12

Work was good (didn't see manager Blush) was answering phones today. So interesting, called two ambulances and had a million difficult things to sort out, there's loads to learn.

Dd has a bed guard so I was going to put him that side, away from the pillow still? Can he go on top of the duvet? Just up to his waist?

lazzaroo · 13/09/2013 20:53

DH is home but he's tired Hmm

Sorry to hear your ds has joined the gang of snotty babies [spotty]

That is sweet [beasty]. dd1 started bf her babies too when we bought baby lazza home. And for a long time every time baby lazza cried dd1 would declare, to anyone that would listen, that she though she must need some 'booby milk' Smile

WLmum · 13/09/2013 21:22

spotty work sounds good. I'd go for on top of the duvet in his own sleeping bag.
lazza mine still tell people that crying babies (our own and others!!) need booby. They have been quite confused when ff mummies have said they don't have booby milk. Friends kids were fascinated for ages watching me bf and made me explain where the milk came from. It's so funny, knowledge we take for granted but kids only know what they've seen.
