Hahaha Barbeasty that's officially too funny.

J is screeching himself to sleep on my chest. His "I'm not tired" routine would be so much more convincing if he didn't have to stop for a yawn every 30 seconds or so. DP showed me how to get him to sleep. You have to let him kind of CIO while holding him to you or he will just play and never sleep. It's stressful but less so than trying for 2 hours and him still not sleeping.

This morning while getting J dressed I realised he was standing independently! He was holding the chair and I went to put his tshirt on and realised I didn't have to take his hands off it as he'd let go a few seconds earlier and was just standing on his changing mat Shock He slept 9-11, 11-3:30, 4:15-7. He was starving this morning and last night though. Think I need to bump up his food but not sure what else I can give him.

Ooh ravioli nutella that's a good idea. I'm so out of good meal ideas. The freezer is tiny too so I need things that I can eat so there's no leftovers.

lazzaroo · 05/09/2013 09:40

stacks we did cc with dd1 at night but it never worked for s in the day.she was always rocked to sleep or settled in pushchair. It didn't seem to confuse things, it still got her sleeping through & naps just lengthened over time with no change from me.

Baby lazza has, I think, heat rash and/or dribble rash under her chin. It's got a bit more widespread over past couple f days & a bit drier. Any suggestions regarding best cream to use on it? Her plentiful chin(s) rubbing constantly doesn't help! Smile

lazzaroo · 05/09/2013 09:45

Oh, and we're doing same sort of finger foods. Scrambled egg works too. Anything on toast! Tomato puree & melted grated cheese on toast is a favourite. I got some ideas from a blw blog. Can't remember the site but if you google blw meal ideas it'll probably come up.

Am also still bf. Was hoping to have day weaned onto a cup by now but she's got other ideas!

lazzaroo · 05/09/2013 09:48

Here it is..... www.babyledweaning.com/recipes/

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/09/2013 10:03

Sudacrem for dribble rash Lazza, every time you see it's wet just dab the dribble away with your fingers too (that's all the time then).

lazzaroo · 05/09/2013 11:06

Thanks willyou, that's what I have been using so will carry on. She is a constant stream of dribble. Soaks a dribble bib in about 5 mins! Think the heat has just aggravated it over past couple of days.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/09/2013 11:12

We have similar dribble issues. Poor ds has two massive white heads on his chin that I definitely do not want to squeeze Wink

WLmum · 05/09/2013 11:12

beasty I think that's the best sleep deprived co sequence I've heard! Hilarious!

lazzaroo · 05/09/2013 12:14

Is it possible to overdose on blueberries?! Baby lazza is have berries after her lunch and just keeps shovelling them in! Smile easy peasy finger food & great to take out and about for snacks.

spotty baby lazza laughed her head off when I was testing out dd1 's robot & it was singing and dancing Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 05/09/2013 12:18

Oh I can't wait to get mine. Wish I'd ordered more Wink

IsThatTrue · 05/09/2013 16:01

Well after our great night and dcs going to school have helped, DS is on his 3rd nap of today. Shock

30 mins (while I ran), 2hrs, and 20mins so far! Shock

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/09/2013 16:42

Glad you're having a better day IsThat.

I've got a much happier baby today too. He had 1h 45 this morning and then we went to debenhams and he hogged shared a veggie lasagne. He's just had a bottle and gone down again. I know it's late for a nap but I'd rather this than what happened last night!

DS loves blueberries Lazza. They had them cheap in Aldi a few weeks running. I did have to convince the doctor when he had diarrhoea that there was blueberry skins in there not blood!

Oooh a lovely teething spot Spotty, not at all tempting...

I'm still sniggering intermittently thinking about Anthony hanging upside down Barbeasty! Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/09/2013 16:53

Just had a flick through all the photos on Facebook. How cute are half dressed babies? Much cuter than a fully dressed one! Smile

WLmum · 05/09/2013 16:54

Pesky T has a new fave past time - emptying dd1s chest of drawers! The drawers slide out really easily and throwing freshly laundered clothes all over the floor is the best game ever. Monkey.
Ergo has arrived but don't think I'll get a chance to play with it today.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/09/2013 16:54

Naked ones are the best Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/09/2013 17:03

ooh the monkey WL, happy tidying!

I'm partial to a tshirt and a bare bum Spotty Grin

Stacks · 05/09/2013 19:12

Every night I feel like the worst mum ever. T doesn't cry long when I leave now, but he sounds just so, so sad. :(

Love the upside down baby beasty. Remember to look for the hairy end in the cot before you pick them up ;)

WL T loves emptying things, drawers, toy boxes any box. I tend to sit him down infront of a box of stuff at least once a day. He had great fun with the kitchen utensil pot the other day.

Glad you've had a better day IsThat and WillYou, how has your day been hales?

I've never tried T on blueberries, will have to order some in. He had a really good day eating today, much less stuff ended up on the floor. Maybe the result of night weaning?

IsThatTrue · 05/09/2013 19:23

Bedtime isn't going well, he's too hot and when I transfer him he wakes. He's sitting very quietly with my nipple on his mouth atm Hmm

WLmum · 05/09/2013 20:31

Yep, we're back on the boob. I think her bottom middle teeth are on the rise and whilst not causing great misery I do think perhaps niggly. She's waking up crying from naps and in the night which is unusual.

Poor dd2 has recently got really scared of a few things - automatic doors and being shut in places (like tesco not cupboards!). We're planning on an end of summer hols trip to Legoland (free tickets from the sun!) but tonight she cried and said she wants to stay at home as we might get shut in. I'm not sure how to help her. I've reassured her as much as possible but to no avail. I know she'll enjoy it but I don't want to force her.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/09/2013 20:35

Hmm WL really not sure on that one. We went to legoland in June dd loved it. We hired her one of the car/buggies they do double ones too Smile tell her they don't have doors Grin how long until you go?

WLmum · 05/09/2013 21:04

We're going on Sunday. I've told her that she can go in the buggy and we'll carry T, told her there'll be treats in the picnic etc but she's just got a bee in her bonnet.
It's thrown us a bit as she's always been the confident one.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/09/2013 21:14

Hmm what about involving her in some decisions? Looking at the map and deciding which rides you will go on? It's a tough one I suppose it's just another phase that she's going through...

Dd is ill. Temp over 39 all day. Before bed she said her ear hurt. I have to work tomorrow too Sad she fell asleep in her bed before 6:30 and is still sparko

IsThatTrue · 05/09/2013 21:27

He's not in bed yet. I have up at 8.15 (1hr 45min after starting bedtime) so I could make and eat dinner. He's been perfectly happy downstairs. I've just bought him back up to try again and he still doesn't seem to be going. Finding it really hard this evening. Just want some downtime and I won't get any as I'm knackered so it'll be straight to bed. And then all the night wakings, the 6.30 alarm, the school run, work and DS all day. I just need done time :( roll on say morning run!

jackandjilly · 05/09/2013 21:44

Bloody busy week so not much time to catch up.

Ds has been fine at the cm's

Dd has been in tears all night about big school. Today was her first day, I'm dreading tomorrowHmm

Beasty that is THE funniest thing ever! GrinGrinGrin

WLmum · 05/09/2013 22:08

Sorry to hear that jack. I'm sure she'll settle down and have a great time soon enough but for now it must be very tough.
