pinkbear apparently oats are good for milk production, flapjack sounds nicer than that tea !

pinkbear82 · 24/09/2013 13:15

Ooo curly that sounds far better!! Thanks for that..... off to stock up on lovely flapjacks

SunnyL · 24/09/2013 13:34

It was at night when we were asleep in bed they tried to break in. They've also tried a few of the neighbours. In fact one of my neighbours saw a bloke hiding in her garden at 10pm at night. Bleurgh.

We've not got an alarm but I do have a dog who is a very enthusiastic barker. Fingers crossed she continues to discourage Burglar Bill.

SunnyL · 24/09/2013 15:57

OMFG! Baby just grabbed my nipple and wouldn't let go. Never felt pain like it!!!

curlyclaz13 · 24/09/2013 17:20

fun isn't it sunny ? OH helpfully finds it hilarious Angry

Sarah2506 · 24/09/2013 20:18

GOT THE HOUSE!!

curlyclaz13 · 24/09/2013 20:45

Excellent news !

pinkbear82 · 25/09/2013 09:55

Yey for the house Sarah - what a relief for you.

Dd been snuffly for a while but today full on runny nose and runny eyes. You can see she feels rubbish. Sad Poor little mite.

She has just dropped off so I shall go and sort the kitchen and mound of washing while I can, she's understandably very clinging when awake.

Hope your nipples recovered today sunny - I'm dreading teeth.....

DontmindifIdo · 25/09/2013 11:57

yay Sarah!

DD has been a little "loud" today. Oh, she's off again...

had my first buggy work out class today - seemed to go ok, think that's going to be my Monday morning thing from next week. (there's a class on a Monday or Wednesday, I had my taster session today, but Mondays seem easier). I've still got a 2 finger gap in my muscles though, has anyone else's gone back together?

HungryHorace · 25/09/2013 12:04

Dontmind, I still have a gap and consequently a round tum. It's nowhere near as bad as it was though, thank god!

Buggy fit sounds good. I try to walk loads when I can to assist weight loss / toning.

rrreow · 25/09/2013 12:05

I actually like fennel tea...

Congrats on the house Sarah!! That's awesome.

Zephyr is going through a crazy growthspurt. He's 15.5 weeks now (I think) and has been feeding insane amounts for two days now. Including more regular night wakings again

Pinkbear, if you want to build up supply again just let your lo nurse as much as they want. And express after to stimulate more milk production. It definitely doesn't have to mean the end of breastfeeding unless you want it to.

MrsBri · 25/09/2013 12:10

Ooh, congrats on the house, Sarah. I nosed after your post on FB and it's lovely. :-)

DH has just finished building the Jumperoo. It's massive, isn't it? When Amy wakes we will put her in it.

Awful night last night. We've been to the GP this morning and he suspects bad constipation, so it's lactulose and Calpol until she's sorted.

If she's bad in 10-12 days he will do a paed referral, or we can take her to Children's A&E in the meantime if we are worried.

curlyclaz13 · 25/09/2013 17:07

Do you think massage would help her constipation MrsBri ? they tell us it does so might be worth a go ?

MrsBri · 25/09/2013 18:59

Maybe it would. We do some of that and bicycle legs too anyway. Will keep doing more, I think. :-/

pinkbear82 · 25/09/2013 19:14

How are things tonight mrsbri?

RueDeWakening · 25/09/2013 20:40

MrsBri I found a YouTube video that shows baby massage for constipation, it's the same technique I was shown on the course I did: . Hope she's better soon!

MrsBri · 25/09/2013 21:19

Pink, quiet so far. It's the wee small hours where she seems to suffer most. :-(

Thank you, Rue. I'll have a go tomorrow when Amy is awake.

No poo yet today, so it may be a traumatic night ahead.

Mrs81 · 25/09/2013 21:37

Poor you MrsBri. Can you and DH take it in turns?

We're having a screamy reflux evening. Boo. Does anyone know how long it would take for an irritant to get into breast milk? I ate some goat cheese last night and a tiny amount of dark choc at lunchtime today (with soya, bugger). I've no idea if its a coincidence or if there could be a connection. (I've otherwise been dairy and soya free for nearly 4 weeks now)

MrsBri · 25/09/2013 21:52

I think it's about 24 hours, Mrs.

And we do share the burden, yes, but it's hard when she's screaming her head off. :-(

Littlemissexpecting · 26/09/2013 02:27

Mrs Bri remind me do you bf?
If so plenty of OJ for you will help.
My mum swears by bottle of water with brown sugar for baby but I've not tried it yet.
Not sure what is wrong with ds. He's really not himself.
Anyone have a lo regularly sleeping through yet? Ds has been waking up for 1 or 2 night feeds for a while but they are getting earlier :-( really really tired mummy here

pinkapples · 26/09/2013 06:49

Oh no mrsbri how rubbish remind me did you go to the docs with her?

Theiah is sleeping through now she started when she was 11 weeks with the odd night where she'd get up for a feed at 3/4 but for about 2.5 weeks now she's gone every night from 7-7 with a feed at 10 when I go to bed Grin except when she's overnight with my mum where she thinks its her opportunity to party hard waking 3-5 times GrinGrin

SunnyL · 26/09/2013 07:22

Someone broke the baby. She woke up at midnight last night singing. Midnight?!? She hasnt woken that early in months. Which of course means the little pest also woke up at 4 & 6. DH stuck a bottle in her at 6 so we should get some peace for a while.

MrsBri we've also got a chronically bunged up baby. Doesnt seem to bother her but the farts are noxious!

Mrs81 · 26/09/2013 07:39

One of the HV we saw in the early days swore by cooled boiled water or a tiny bit of v dilute prune juice (in cool boiled water) for constipation (we tried water briefly whilst DS was on Gaviscon, it helped a little bit).

We ended up co sleeping last night. After the miserable reflux session he was super-clingy so DH sloped off to spare room to give us more space. (Somehow a tiny baby still occupies half the bed!!)

Sarah2506 · 26/09/2013 07:56

sunny I thought you had explained to lily that the sleep regression thing was not an option for her?!? She's clearly been having a word with polly who has woken at one and five the last few nights. This sucks. It hurts so much more than it did when that was her regular schedule at the beginning. The major problem is the time it takes me to get back to sleep though. I slept 11-1, 2-5 and 6-7 last night. This is not enough for me. Yawn.

pinkbear82 · 26/09/2013 08:38

Violet hasn't slept through once. We do have a few odd nights where she only wakes once but generally it's two times. Last night was three, but she's really bunged up in her nose so must be hard for her to suck. We seem to sorted my supply so bf continues Smile

It's been 4 weeks since weigh in for her, was going to go this afternoon but thinking with the start of the weeks feeding issues maybe a weigh in isn't a good way to end the week.

Mrsbri really feel for you. Hope there is some nappy action soon for you
