Curly, dd has outgrown the Moses basket and is in a crib, but she still has a fair bit of room in her pram (icandy strawberry, which she's happy in).

That's interesting that the seat does lie flat, oli, as I've read that they shouldn't go in the seat until 6 months if possible (we haven't tried it out yet). I read somewhere that someone used the seat earlier and padded it out with the maxi cosi car seat insert so baby could lie flatter. I must test it out.

Mutley77 · 30/08/2013 02:30

I'm going to swap to the pushchair seat in a few weeks as Dd is huge in carrycot. We will be going into spring then so will keep her in carrycot before as it's easier to keep her warm.

Our seat lies flat otherwise I would probably squeeze her into carrycot for longer!

pinkapples · 30/08/2013 07:51

Well changing to the cot did absolutely sod all Sad up again loads (should add shr only fed at 11pm and 3pm) I lost patience and went into the spare room so hubby dealt with her all night must admit I'm struggling after she was only waking once at 3am

I'm up and have fed her now and she's back down asleep on her belly think if she slept on her belly overnight shed sleep for hours but I'm just not brave enough so I guess I'll just have to see how long this phase lasts

SunnyL · 30/08/2013 07:59

We had our first night out last night with a babysitter. Was flipping magic and i have to admit i only checked my phone twice. My mum was so chuffed to be babysitting and baby was an absolute angel for her. Gives me hope we can do this more often. Although my head is a little tender today so I may break my rule of no telly before 6pm and be a bit of a slug today.

But what is this 4 month thing? Ive got a perfect baby atnight. I dont want it to change.

Olimoss · 30/08/2013 09:08

Curly - I think with iCandy you are ok to use the pram seat as long as you use the flattest setting of the three. J is definitely much happier in it - he can see out of it better, you can see him better, is all good.

This is from the iCandy site:-

"What do I use if my child has grown out of the bassinet before 6 months?

The iCandy Seat Units can be used with babies under 6 months only if they have outgrown their bassinet however they must be in the fully reclined position. When the baby can sit up unaided they can be placed in the other available positions."

MadameJ · 30/08/2013 09:11

I have swapped over to the pushchair but it lies completly flat and there was no way I could carry on wedging her into the carrycot!!

Anyone got any ideas about how to get dd to bed earlier? During the day she completely self settles but come the evening she wants to be on the boob constantly and I cant get her to bed until she passes out, she does then sleep really well but it would be nice to have a little time to myself in the evenings! I have tried putting her down earlier, she wont be rocked and ewan the sheep seems to annoy her!!

Olimoss · 30/08/2013 09:13

Oops - better link here - www.mannlymama.com/2012/12/wonder-week-19-aka-4-month-sleep-regression/

SunnyL · 30/08/2013 10:13

Nope, no sorry, not going to happen. I refuse to succumb to this 4 month regression thingy. If ignore it it won't happen right?

Olimoss · 30/08/2013 10:26

That's my approach, Sunny....!

Mrs81 · 30/08/2013 11:05

No no no! 4 month regression sounds hellish. I will either a- join in the ignore it and it goes away tactic or b-run away for a week and leave DH to stomach it.

Alas, we'll probably be doing option c round about then- go and stay with the inlaws for a few days Confused We might never get invited back!

Hawkmoth · 30/08/2013 13:48

Hedgehogy she's not had any immunisations yet. The appointment has just come through for her first lot, she'll be 11 weeks. Pisspoor.

We're on day three today. I imagine she will wait until DH goes to work this evening.

Still paying the price for her sleeping at night. Can't put her down unless she's being pushed in the pram. Day times are becoming less and less productive... And I keep buying things online. Argh!

curlyclaz13 · 30/08/2013 15:07

We have the babystyle oyster and it does say the seat should only be used from 6 months but it seems to lie pretty flat.

SunnyL · 30/08/2013 17:57

Oh god a hangover with a small child is no laughing matter. I didn't even drink that much last night - like 3 glasses of wine. I have achieved nothing today except trying to replace my blood with diet coke and a diet largely consisting if ginger nuts and toast.

We've got another night out on Saturday with a free bar. Think I might limit myself to 2 drinks that night......

curlyclaz13 · 30/08/2013 18:42

Oh dear sunny hope you feel better soon ! x
We have moved the cotbed into our room and put it up with one side missing right up against my side, hopefully this will make night feeds easier, only problem is how on earth I get out of bed, I have to clamber off the end ! not sure if it will work but like everything else we will give it a go and see.

pinkapples · 30/08/2013 21:30

Yea curly we did that last night I had to crawl to the end of the bed to get out hehe

Steffanoid · 30/08/2013 23:16

hello I'm still here Smile mainly lurking.
we outgrew the first carrycot on the pram at about 7 weeks - mamas and paoas luna- but have since bought a second hand bebecar icon which has a nice wide carrycot as its shoulders we had the issue with. cot wise he's been in his cot for about 4 weeks maybe 3 now as he touched both ends of the moses basket and shoved his arms through the crib! he lies like a star in the cot it's cute Smile

Hawkmoth · 30/08/2013 23:26

I hate being right. Two shits. Bathroom wet through where I ineptly rinsed the shit off her lovely pink pants. DS up until ten o'clock so he'll be a bugger tomorrow. I'm just unreasonably tired.

pinkapples · 31/08/2013 02:02

Have no idea where my beautiful sleeping baby has gone it has now been almost a week of unreasonable waking hours its like she's 6 weeks old again! And someone mentioned regression hmmm think mines already bloody started might give her water tomorrow so she might think oh that's crap and not bother waking for it then we can go back to 3am feeds

HungryHorace · 31/08/2013 03:20

Has anyone with a teething baby seen actual teeth yet? DD has what feels like a couple of imminent teeth but no sign of them actually appearing properly yet.

We will probably wake one morning to a baby with a face full of gnashers!

MadameJ · 31/08/2013 08:37

Well I managed a slightly earlier bedtime but then had wake ups at 3 & 5 so I don't think I will bother tonight!!!

HH no sign of teeth here thank goodness but I remember with DD1 she was pretty much "teething" ie red cheeks, chewing hands etc from 8 weeks but her first tooth didn't pop until she was 18 weeks so it can take ages!!

HungryHorace · 31/08/2013 09:27

We had a 19.20 feed, followed by 00.20 and 2.30, then 6.30 and now 9.00.

She hasn't eaten as much as she should the last 2 days so I think she's trying to catch up.

DH let me sleep til 9. Feel like crap!!

HungryHorace · 31/08/2013 09:28

Oh, and very interesting re teeth, Madame. Bugger!
