Not caught up, but there is a distraction for you on FB Chasing :-)

PR He is already signed up for puppy classes for socialisation and basic training. Much to DP's disgust He will eventually become a part-time working dog so I will be very strict on training from day 1. We are very fortunate in that the breeder is starting with the toilet training and even when we saw him at 5 weeks he went straight to the puppy pads and then outside. proud puppy mummy Grin

My main 'fuck it, why not buy one now' justification is we are already very used to sleepless nights...

YellowWellies · 13/08/2013 19:59

What work is the woofer going to be doing MM?

Passmethecrisps · 13/08/2013 20:00

Oh and YW

When I arrived in your hood today I had "he's no a prize marrow" pop into my head. Made me smile.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/08/2013 20:01

How old will he be when you get him? Are you going to get him 'done'? Mine isn't done so we have to watch him very closely when there is a bitch on heat even a few miles away...

Passmethecrisps · 13/08/2013 20:04

My mum and dad's dog used to run away from the neighbour's bitch in heat. He would proper whimper and run away. My dad once found him gambolling (my dad's word) with another boy dog.

Thinking about it, he always seemed to appreciate soft furnishings Grin

MissMummy1 · 13/08/2013 20:05

We want to take him to pheasant shoots when he's a bit older. We'll probably use the springer in him to flush, but being a lab mix he will be the best of both worlds and can have a craic at retrieving too.

Unless he's gun shy. Like my mum and dad's old retriever. Stupid dog!

MissMummy1 · 13/08/2013 20:06

He'll be 7 weeks when we get him next Tuesday. Still undecided on getting him done. I think it is probably a necessity but, depending on his working abilities, we have a friend with a springer bitch who might want to take a litter off him. We'll see. Personally, I'd rather have him done.

LOL at gambolling Grin

MissMummy1 · 13/08/2013 20:10

Sorry, he'll be 8 weeks. He is 7 weeks old today. MM1 can't count.... Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 13/08/2013 20:36

We have a bum shuffler here! When ones back is turned, she can get from a to b veeeery quickly. She has yet to demonstrate this whilst I look, clearly she is waiting til she has perfected it like rolling then

((HUGS)) to PR and chasing and VQs J and anyone else....

I am jealous of MMs impending puppy mummyhood, even with puppy puddles and the gnawing, but it wouldn't be fair on a dog with the hours that I work.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/08/2013 20:37

Oh that's young. He'll need masses of love, which I'm sure you'll give. My goldie would have been a crap gun dog. Scared of bins, cars and cats.

Kyz · 13/08/2013 20:52

Evening everyone! Couple of pages to catch up on, better get cracking!

Bottles, I plan on sterilising them as long as I am using them, it's routine now and it's not a big deal for me to do it, and it'll make me feel better I think. Esp as I store them in the fridge. I used to sterilise EVERYTHING but now it is just what he drinks from and what it's stored in. But then I don't have a dishwasher, if I did I might re-think...

Poor S Madame he's had this cough for ages now!

detective e loves balls too, especially those little fisher price roll-a-round type balls, with things in them. Loves em!

pr sounds like you've had a proper shitty crappy fucking day! big hugs, and a bottle of wine, yes? You are not at all pathetic, not one bit.

pennie yay for her going up in things! Not so yay re: the squint, bless her - hopefully hers will fix relatively quickly maybe?

chasing i am pleased o's cousin arrived safe and well. It must be a tough time for you, real mix of emotions.

LOL vq that's lovely dear :P I will have to try not to imagine you doing such things if you ever tell us you need a distraction!

No idea re: toothbrush lily but I change mine every 3 months too. E still has no teeth so doesn't have a toothbrush yet. was thinking of getting himone to nom on though like pass has for p. i don't think i'd worry too much about changing it so regularly when they're tiny though as it's more for practice like vq said :)

glad you got a bit of sleep pp sorry you don't feel any better for it though :(

woohoo yw hope he gives his daddy a wave soon!

hope you have a nice night eliza you little pisshead you Wink (just kidding!!!!)

aww yay gt bless him!

I would be jealous mm but we had a pregnant dog dumped on our doorstep ermm... 8 years ago now. She was heavily pregnant. 3 or 4 the vet said... 12 she had. 12!!!! It was a very smelly, messy experience raising those pups, but I enjoyed every minute of it almost. Anyway, those pups are enough to last me a lifetime or at least until I am dogless for a few years!!. Yes, we kept the bitch. Couldn't not, really. She is a moody, pain in the arse, complete cowbag, but I love her to bits. No idea how old she is though I suspect she's getting on a bit now as she's increasingly ignorant/difficult/grumpy and seems quite stiff on occasion. Anyway I digress... I can't wait for your puppy and M pics on facebook :)

Today... I ordered a couple of stairgates, a fireguard and some corner cushiony things plus some plug socket cover things. They should be here by thursday, which is good. I said to my mum 'oh it's ok, i'll get one for the actual stairs when he shows an interest in them' and hours later he is on the second frigging step having just discovered them. Bollocks.

I gave e some strawberries for pudding today. The first one was huge so I just gave it as is, but he scares me because he crams stuff into his mouth, and had a huge huge bit of strawberry left but would've just fit it in. I panicked and held it for him Blush and then cut the others up into quarters. Am shit.

He has perfected his pincer grip with peas now. Got some cheerios for him to eat play with for breakfast tomorrow.

Can't remember what else I was going to say....

PetiteRaleuse · 13/08/2013 20:59

kyz I had a half tranq this afternoon I daren't drink Wine :(

Kyz · 13/08/2013 21:01

Ah bless you PR is the xanax helping at all? hugs x

ChasingDaisy · 13/08/2013 21:03

Anyone watching the Channel 4 doc about the mother who tried to stop her son having cancer treatment?

MissMummy1 · 13/08/2013 21:20

Yes, I am. And catching myself getting very shouty at the TV. Angry Blush

ChasingDaisy · 13/08/2013 21:27

I started watching with an open mind but the fact that she didn't go and see her son before he went for the second surgery....Angry Sad

FatimaLovesBread · 13/08/2013 21:30

Evening all. Not done much today. Went to bed with M for her afternoon nap Blush I had a quick snooze, she slept for ages and I couldn't move as she was on my arm and I didn't want to wake her.

Jealous of the puppy ness mm
Hope you're feeling better and DD1 is being better behaved now pr
Yay to the crawling gt

I sterilise nothing but then again I only used boobs Grin but all this talk of sterilising is preparing me for my return to work next week, it's made me think about bacteria again!!

I wanted to watch that documentary but I forgot. What's it like? I remember the stories at the time AngrySad

Pikz · 13/08/2013 21:33

1st wake up already does not bode well :(

Teething mixed with 9 month regression. Joy.

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2013 21:35

I feel the need to point out that I was joking about the nipples. I was hoping to make Chasing smile. Grin

ChasingDaisy · 13/08/2013 21:37

Mission accomplished Grin

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2013 21:39

Oh dear Pikz. Hope it is just the one waking. I am off to sleep hopefully as J is down. Will see him again for sure before long.

Have we seen Detective today?

Good night PR. Sweet dreams x

Kyz I want you to write out 100 times 'I am not shit' and then believe it. You are fab, and are allowed to be cautious about feeding your child.

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2013 21:40

Good Chasing Grin Sweet dreams to you too - of hunky men, not my nipples Grin

Pikz · 13/08/2013 21:49
