Didn't tell anyone on here at the time for fear of being laughed at chasing so also glad to know I'm not the only one

G'night all xxx

daisychain76 · 12/08/2013 22:55

Thanks fatima hadn?t realised there was one there. l hope you are making dh do any night feeds/early morning wake ups after that! We have the same issue and can?t even pull the plug out when H is in bed without him stirring.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/08/2013 23:00

Gosh both my boys names are top 10, my girls are 47 and 100.

We have finally booked our ferry for next Sunday. This really is it!

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/08/2013 23:19

Thanks all for the reassuarnce re E's weight. stunt Thank you for sharing your experiences and yw yay for pint sized babies Smile. She is growing in length and is still on the 9th centile (just). I've spent the evening batch cooking lots of food and packing it out with high calorie milk, butter and cheese so hopefully that will help. But as they say, you can take a horse to water but can't make it drink. That sums up E really.

pass sounds busy busy but glad it went well.

mm I missed puppy gate but welcome back.

kyz I found some corner protector things useful. Only as mil had a coffee table right at an awkward height for DD1 when she first started walking and she was forever leaning on it and slipping. Got them off amazon and were quite cheap.

Sorry for rushed post but am pretty knackered so better go to bed. Hope everyone has a good night.

YellowWellies · 13/08/2013 00:01

11.30pm finished freelance for the night.
11.40pm in bed panicking that optimistically putting my pint sized bear in a 6-18 month grobag would definitely be a SIDS risk as he might disappear through the neck hole.
11.50pm think fuck it I'll not sleep otherwise, go and transfer said bear from big to small grobag, without him waking. Epic Mummy skillz dance done.
11.53pm Administer boob just in case as his nose was sniffing and there was a boob giggle in his sleep.
11.58pm go back to bed, paranoid Mummy status confirmed Smile night all.

DS2 and J are tag teaming tonight: DS2 has a sore foot and J had unspecified but probably toof-related pain. Hmm After yesterday's awful night another toof appeared so he has gone from 0 to 2 in two days! J is feeding now and keeping himself occupied by pinching me with his sharp little nails which is very painful. I need a baby straitjacket. Grin

Hello thread. Poorly boy here. Will only sleep on me it seems.

ValiumQueen · 13/08/2013 03:19

Hello stunt and J x

PurplePidjin · 13/08/2013 04:01

Wake ups at 1 and now. Feeding at this one. Ffs when does it end?!

MsJupiterJones · 13/08/2013 05:26

Last night's self-settling triumph not repeated. Up since 4am, nothing specific, just waking himself up by rolling around & sleep crawling. But if I stopped cuddling him/ holding his hand or tried to leave the room, he started wailing. No matter how asleep he seemed. Maybe he is just feeling in need of reassurance. So tired though.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/08/2013 06:02

Hi all early morningers. We were 5:15, madly wobbling cot to try and get a bit longer, I finally gave up at 05:45 before the whole house wakes up. He is busily watching the news now.

Kirrin · 13/08/2013 06:03

Shit night here too. Brew all round. N wasn't too bad. She woke twice, which is once more than normal but she did that last night a well and DP fed her. I was a bit wary of feeding her this time though, in case I inadvertently create a habit! She did go back to sleep in the end. DD1 was just restless and crying out all night. She was obviously dreaming a lot. Hopefully a one off, cos I must have got up to her 7or 8 times. Operation get rid of dummy (slowly) has commenced, and next week I will tackle overnight so I guess I'd better get used to no sleep for a bit Grin

StuntNun · 13/08/2013 06:08

Did you get much sleep VQ?

J started crying at 5:45 so DH brought him into bed then five minutes later said it was time for him to get up. He's downstairs drinking coffee while I try and stop J from waking up the neighbours. Angry

Any sign of tooth break through stunt ?

ChasingDaisy · 13/08/2013 06:18

Morning all. Another 5.45am waker here. Managed to get him back to sleep but his eyes pinged open when I put him back in his cot. Currently listening to him chat and squeal over the monitor until I can be bothered to get up.

StuntNun · 13/08/2013 06:29

Two tiny fanglets poking through at the bottom Sophia and from the screaming in the night they must be hurting him a bit. He's been demanding two night feeds the last two nights so I'm wondering whether his reflux is worse and he's seeking relief from that. Whenever my babies get their first teeth I pine for their gummy smiles. Smile

OP posts:
Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/08/2013 06:37

I know what you mean. It should be through over the next 24 hours I should imagine. Might be a bit behind on everything but seeing as the saliva has an acidity when they are teething I assume that exacerbates the reflux so you get it with both barrels. Sad

Hope you got some sleep vq

Sounds chilled chasing my kids just shout to get up!

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 13/08/2013 07:06

Shit night here too, second in a row. It's like a newborn! Up every half hour and the day started at 4.15am when S woke DD and DSD and no one wanted to be left in bed! Yawn. Off to catch up!

PetiteRaleuse · 13/08/2013 07:08

Almost three months since those first two teeth popped out and still just swollen gums for the next lot. I wonder if she'll just not get them. Maybe I could be in the Daily Mail - my baby doesn't have top teeth - I could do a sad / outraged pose for the photos.

Morning all, sorry about the bad nights. Hope vq's J is a little better this morning? I don
.t know what our night was like I popped a pill and everyone was still up when I fell asleep. DH didn't moan too much this morning so I assume it was ok.

I love it when they wake up all calm in the morning and just sing for us. DH went in to get LO a little earlier and she was apparently stood up in her bed and roared with laughter when she saw him. So proud of herself.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/08/2013 07:27

In the last ten days LO has learned how to crawl (just about), stand up, move round her baby jail standing up (mini coasting), wave though looks like a Nazi dng it and just this morning has worked out how to clap. This is such a fun age. And so many clues to personality now. And all this development will speed up when she goes to nursery in a few weeks.

Jims · 13/08/2013 07:34

Corker of a night here too. And the night before.
Could be teeth/hunger/F missing me. DH is getting up as he's now on ext paternity leave but i still get woken by the wails and then I don't want to undermine his efforts by going in. And my job mainly entails sitting at a computer going through reams of documents. May have to pop out at lunch to stock up on paracetamol and caffeinated teabags! Brews all round to everyone else too it sounds like.

Ds1 name one of highest climbers on the list too. It was 98 when we picked it. Hmm.

Kyz · 13/08/2013 07:42

Morning! some shitty nights there :( vq how is j (and you) this morning?

7-6:40 here, or at least that is what u slept. he was playing in his cot when I woke so no idea when he actually got up!

thanks for the tips on safety stuff :) gonna get some bits and pieces asap as he seems to be everywhere!

he is 40 weeks today. fuck knows where we are with months though! it all confuses me because it seems to be different depending on where you look!

pr your lo has learned tonnes of late!!

today I must find a puree using up my sweet potatoes and carrots, and then go shopping, I need a load of odds and sods like washing up liquid etc.

I have lost 5lbs in a week just by massively cutting down on eating sweets and chocolate. shows how much I was eating doesn't it! I have had a bit but only the odd bit.

fruitpastilles · 13/08/2013 07:45

Morning all, we had a good night las night, makes a change as the last few nights have been a nightmare, still no teefs to show for it either.
S is 9 months today Smile I still can't believe how quick it's gone. Only seems like yesterday she was a newborn, I'm actually feeling quite broody today, we've had 3 new babies in our family/friends circle in a week and another 4 weeks ago.

sophia how exciting to have booked the ferry!

BrewBrewBrew For all those who have had a bad night.

fruitpastilles · 13/08/2013 07:48

kyz well done on the weight loss, I soooo need to take a leaf out of your book. I had a doughnut for breakfast yesterday Hmm just because they were there.

Pikz · 13/08/2013 08:09

Well done Kyz!

Brew To all those with shite nights and ill babies

Sophia how exciting!!!!

We had unexplained wake ups at 11.20 and 3.30 for nothing more than a cuddle for 2 minutes!

DP and I already had an argument about capol this morning and its only 8am! It's going to be one of them days I think. Taking L to Pilates today. Wonder how many moves I will get to do!
