I was actually going to type that I wouldn't be surprised if M was also an expert stair climber!!! Grin

ValiumQueen · 12/08/2013 09:01

Ooo I remember I had a protection thing on my first mortgage many moons ago, and a loan. How do you get the forms? I have seen millions of adverts but forgot that until you said that PP.

ValiumQueen · 12/08/2013 09:08

Detective Fisher Price do a baby proof cover for iPhones.

TheDetective · 12/08/2013 09:09

I don't usually give it to him Grin.

Little sod. Hmm

Just watching him empty all the CD's out of the drawer.

Think it's nap time!

TheDetective · 12/08/2013 09:11

Okay, so he decided to go and stand up against the patio doors and piss on them....

It's gonna be one of those days isn't it?!

Only left him without a nappy for 5 minutes because he has a bit of nappy rash. Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 12/08/2013 09:17

Just realised my bad dream was probably inspired by The Following Hmm

Pikz · 12/08/2013 09:31

Lol at O pissing against doors!

VQ contact the bank you had them with and ask for their complaint forms. Do not go through one of the agencies. It's worth a shot. Mine were a grad loan which is 8 years ago and a loan for solicitors fees which was 9 years ago!

Pikz · 12/08/2013 09:33

And it would have been an awesome savings plan as they have to give you 8% interest on what they owe you!

MsJupiterJones · 12/08/2013 09:57

Ooh the ONS baby names from 2012 are out! Quite interesting to look at it and think we are part of those statistics. L's name has gone way down in popularity, there were more Brians and Devons than him!

PetiteRaleuse · 12/08/2013 10:07

Oooh I was particularly unoriginal but I knew that :o

ValiumQueen · 12/08/2013 10:10

Fuck! J is no.5! Hoping Scotland is different. Fuck! Should have gone for Erazmus Grin

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 12/08/2013 10:15

S is 91 which is higher than the last year. DD's name has just dropped out of the top 10. So one v unoriginal and popular, one more rare. My first choice for S was Thomas, so I obviously have unoriginal taste too PR but DH got casting vote on DS's name.

ValiumQueen · 12/08/2013 10:16

And thank you for the info about the PPI. Worth a try. I know I remember being annoyed about paying it and cannot remember if I did or not. I hope I did!

FatimaLovesBread · 12/08/2013 10:20

Bloody hell JJ I read your post thinking surely they haven't come out yet, they don't normally release them until August. Then realised, shit! It is August! Not sure what world I was in then Grin

vq if you go on the money saving expert website there's some guides on there about how to do it yourself. We've been supposed to be sending ours off for about a year now. Going to get it done when I get back to work so I can print things off. We've had a couple of credit cards with PPI added.

Following on from my previous post. We ended up going to the sea life centre in manchester yesterday. M loved it! She really loved the turtles, got really excited and tried to get through the glass to them Grin
DH and I were naughty and treat ourselves to a couples of cakes from Patisserie Valerie AND some Millie's Cookies Shock we haven't eaten them all at once though.

Walking down to the CM shortly, bit nervous, head's full of things I'll need to ask and tell her. Sure it'll be fine.

Big love to izzy and MM and all other absent quichesters.

MsJupiterJones · 12/08/2013 10:26

He is #1 in Wales VQ!

Shame the stats aren't for Scotland given how many sporran wearing babies we have. Are they done separately?

ValiumQueen · 12/08/2013 11:07

JJ bugger! The girls names are nowhere near the top 100. As an owner of a popular name at the time I did not want that for my kids. Still at least he is not a George (no offence meant obviously)

YellowWellies · 12/08/2013 11:21

Jonas is number 490 - only 78 in England and Wales (and thousands across Scandinavia, Germany and the Netherlands. Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/08/2013 11:55

Just a quick post as we are on a train heading to London for my friends birthday lunch.

E hasn't put on any weight. However the dietician says as she looks so happy and healthy she doesn't want to put the tube back in so she's back again in 2 weeks to check progress. I may have to start mixing a high calorie powder into her food but that's a damn sight better than having the tube put back in. Will see how it goes.

I'll look at those stats later but I dread to think how popular both DD's names are. Still I love them so I don't really care. They can change them when they get older if they don't like them!

YellowWellies · 12/08/2013 12:01

Our girls names Seren (104), Guinevere (4800 odd in the list - only 4 in the country and I know one of them!) and Lillemor wasn't even on the list. There's a lot of misspellings which just makes me cringe (Pheobe anyone? Sad ) and 100 Princesses (this makes my inner feminist die inside) and plenty of names which might as well just have been christened Chav. A definite trend for hyphenated girls names which I'm not sure I like.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/08/2013 12:08

My DD1has a Seren friend.

In Brum! Logistics for the week after the nightmare that was Thursday is,

I am here with girls and boys till Tuesday night. Then DH will drive up tomorrow. We will all go out for tea and he will take boys.

I will go home early on Friday morning.

All sorted.

Phew.

ChasingDaisy · 12/08/2013 12:14

Can't check the list at the moment - where does Oscar rank?!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to PP, YW, chasing and others who are blw with what they are having for dinner. Started it yesterday after coming back from hols. He loves it. Reading on here gave me the confidence.

Yesterday beef brisket, broccoli and roast potatoes.

Lunch was left over beef tagine with couscous and tonight will be cottage pie.

Also in the cost saving thoughts, went to waitrose for coffee with mum yesterday (free coffee and papers with your waitrose card!) and picked up two head of broccoli for 30p each. Entire beef brisket for £3 which has done both a meal for 3 adults and LO and then also chopped up reminants in the tagine and whole bag of potatoes for 50p!

Grin
Sophiathesnowfairy · 12/08/2013 13:11

I do brisket as a rule mw for Sunday Lunch if we are having beef. I cook t on really low for about 4 hours on a bed of veg with some stock and is tres tasty. Also I think easier for the kids to chew as you don't need to.

FatimaLovesBread · 12/08/2013 13:35

Mmm brisket!
M loves cous cous. We picked up a Penney of raspberries last Monday for £1! They've done loads, eaten whole, mixed in with yogurt, chopped and mixed with ready brek. She loves them and they've lasted a week.

Went well at the CM, M was busy playing and hardly noticed I was there. Think she'll be fine next week Sad
