I'm with you Leni. Ar5ehole is too polite a word for him Angry

LaLaLeni · 09/07/2013 23:08

Also stupid, if you want someone to sign something they have no obligation to sign then don't show up and harass them! Hope everyone else is having a better evening. Had jabs today too so I was aiming for a peaceful bedtime for poor DS, OH held on on his lap for the jabs and despite me asking him not to, jiggled his leg whilst the needle went in which must've been really sore Confused

SoYo · 10/07/2013 03:13

Sounds crappy Leni

Definite improvement with the fan here. Hopefully it'll carry on for the rest of the night!

Transfer time! Fingers crossed.

pudtat · 10/07/2013 03:21

Oh Leni, that's really crap. I don't know the legals, better brains for that than mine will hopefully be along on your thread, but your assessment as a lay person seems reasonable to me. Hope you can get some answers soon and tell him with legal bells and whistles where to shove it.

Argh. Second time this week Fartypants has been fed at six and refused to go back to sleep. Will stick the fan in there tomorrow, it can't hurt. Stupid six am.

LaLaLeni · 10/07/2013 08:22

We just had a parcel delivered for DS, with a beautiful print of octopi and jellyfish, but no idea who from, strange... Seemed to sleep ok after jabs, just one feed at 1.30am, now asleep in his new vibrating napper. Got a Bumbo seat too which he can sit in for a few mins, bit wobbly but almost there.

We were told we could catch Rotavirus from his poo for the next 14 days?!

Mummy's trying to keep her blood pressure down today after last night's events. I'm expecting a grovelling management agent to get in touch later offering apologies and assurances. Now in the mildly precarious position of having given our notice here but before our mortgage has been approved - fx nothing goes wrong Shock

plonko · 10/07/2013 16:19

Leni your LL sounds like an absolute arse. It's people like that that make me detest renting. I hope your mortgage is approved ASAP.

Lovely afternoon here, the in laws came over so we went out for lunch and dp met us. While they were busy tickling the little man I got a phone call from work to say they approved of my flexible working application. I start 24 hours a week, mid November. Sadly it's not my ideal situation but its a great back up. Hmmm.

It's very overcast and humid here today. DS seems happy as Larry though so mustn't grumble!

ecofreckle · 10/07/2013 16:19

www.littlelambnappies.com/facebook-clearance hello all, just got some brilliant real nappy bargains. Just in case any of you are thinking of dipping your toe in, or for pud who may wish to restock as the bum gets bigger?
Hope you're all having good days. I have indigestion after a pub lunch after a long walk. Oops.
Yours in haste.

LaLaLeni · 10/07/2013 17:31

Thank Plonko, and thanks Pud for the advice - shame I stopped my paid bank account but on the upside HSBC refunded me all the fees as I said they'd missold it to me Wink

I'm taking huge amounts of fenugreek now but I don't smell of curry/maple syrup - am I doing it wrong?

DS loves his new door bouncer that arrived after my last post, need to lay off the spending now Shock he doesn't bounce yet but he enjoys slowly turning around and dribbling a puddle on the floor

pudtat · 10/07/2013 19:08

Thanks Eco. The two nappies I have gone for are actually both birth to potty so no need for restocking! We have the Lollipop pop n gro and the Bumgenius freetime both of which are all in ones (no wraps) birth to potty and microfibre (quick drying). I have some bamboo boosters for extra absorbency when required. So far so good but it's early days for me on my own. Will keep you posted!

Argh. Woke at six, nappy of doom changed, milk totally refused, I have a horrible feeling this child isn't going back to sleep...

ecofreckle · 11/07/2013 09:30

storm hello and am sincerely hoping you did get more sleep? What 's the deal with milk refusing in these babies? When was her previous feed? Am interested as I have a greedy guts. Oh, and I oddly dreamt about you last night! All I can remember is me saying 'you're nothing like I imagined'. Weird eh?

StormyBrid · 11/07/2013 17:48

Took her an hour but she went back to sleep eventually. It's an improvement; Monday took two hours, Wednesday an hour and a half. So what do you imagine me to be like?

LaLaLeni · 11/07/2013 18:26

6am waking here too - every morning Confused and when OH isn't working he doesn't do the morning feed so I've been up since 5.30am when DS normally starts thrashing.

We're all tired and the mortgage still isn't sorted! Getting really nervous now...

I stupidly commented on a thread about spelling last night. Boy do I regret that Shock

ecofreckle · 11/07/2013 19:50

I have never thought about it stormy that's why the dream was rather strange! But, being as you've asked, I'd say blonde (shortish), very blue eyes, delicate features, dark lashes, nose ring (did you tell us that bit?), slightly alternative clothing. Bet that's all wrong! This'd be an entertaining game for night feed times: describe the MN'er you've never met. Eig and Soyo we know are yummy-tastic, chic, sunglasses wearing, leather change bag, DVF wrap dresses :-) Worse is dark haired and with a happy outdoor tan and a Cath Kidston apron for when she's making a massive roast on her Aga. Lala is blond too, slim, brown eyes, dressed with a slight arty flair. Plonko makes out she's a country bumpkin like me but in actual fact she's a razor sharp brunette bobbed, subtley made up goddess. Pud has that naturally curly hair that make people like me very envious, green eyes and a smattering of very becoming freckles. Rainbow jangles as she moves because she wears some jewellery that tinkles, she has long, wavy brown hair which sometimes has a flower from the garden in it. How did I do? :-)

StormyBrid · 11/07/2013 20:11

You're right about the clothes and the nose ring. Missed the pre raphaelite hair though, and I wouldn't call any part of me delicate!

SoYo · 11/07/2013 20:40

Sorry Eco but you're a bit out with me! You've described how I aim to be but instead I'm shorts or jeans & flip flops, baggy top, messy hair & a brightly coloured oilcloth change bag. Yummy Mummy pram and sunglasses though! I do love the idea of a wrap dress but I'm all belly & no boob & fairly lanky so I'm more of a skirt & t-shirt girl!

You've pretty much summed up what I'd have guessed for everyone else though!!

vjhist85 · 11/07/2013 21:23

Ooh do me do me :)

Hello all, trying to work out why you've all disappeared from my 'I'm on' and wonder if its been ages since I've posted? Not sure why! (Actually, yes, gcse marking took over my life briefly)

We're having all sorts of 4 month pain in the arse fun. We suddenly have middle of the night poos again, and dd is busily demonstrating that she will happily have an 8hr break between bottles. This sounds great- no feeds from 11pm-7am would be wonderful. But no, not this tiddler. It's all about demanding a full bottle at 3am then refusing breakfast and not having any more milk til 11am. So we're going to work at reducing that 3am feed by an ounce every few days. Fingers crossed. She's still only really managing about 28oz a day, (2nd/9th centile 18wo) how does that compare to the rest of you ff?

So glad for a brief respite in overnight temperatures, DD's room is a chilly 22 degrees tonight, we peaked at 27 earlier in the week, none of us slept well that night.

My totally crazy sister is coming to stay this weekend. I predict much drunkenness, ridiculous conversations, and giggles (the latter from us AND the tiny one, she finds her aunt hilarious!)

Anyway, back to enjoying the first 5 mins of rest I've had since the marking started bloody stupid idea that was

Hope you're all having lovely evenings of sleeping babies and delicious wine

LaLaLeni · 11/07/2013 21:30

Almost Eco! I'm brunette though, people constantly ask me where I'm from, (Italian and Spanish are the favourites) even though I'm boringly born to English families through and through. Must be the swarthy Cornish genes.

I normally picture actors I know when thinking of you all!

Eigmum · 11/07/2013 21:30

eco not bad, I do have a lovely lin Leo change bag and some nice dresses and i am in love with my sunglasses! But my fav outfit is skinny white jeans and a top as i also have no boobs and a belly right now. Keep thinking i must exercise but then have more crepes instead! Clearly I had to wait til the poo stopped to get the white jeans back out!!

We are back to a 11.30pm feed but I am ok with this!

I picture rainbow as a trendy, sleek yummy mummy who drinks camomile tea and does yoga and is in her early thirties ...

eco is a fun loving, maxi dress wearing, active recycler and worse is a tall elegant lady of the manor with cath kids on wellies and a super fit OH!

LaLaLeni · 11/07/2013 21:31

Oh, I'm not slim either anymore Hmm but I used to be...

Eigmum · 11/07/2013 21:36

La la so true! I also picture famous people, christlass with her upbeat post has to the Jennifer Anniston of the group. sometimes, and please don't take this the wrong way worse I picture you as that lovely lady from the good life but in a bigger house!!

SoYo · 11/07/2013 22:00

Ooh I love that, I'll have to have a think which famous people I associate you all with!

Anypants · 11/07/2013 22:15

Hello ladies
Sorry i've not been on for a while - i've been a-lurking since DD decided to sleep like an angel two weeks ago and i've not had an awful lot to report. Although, she seems to have forgotten about poo. No sign of any for about a week now (apart from a shart on Monday) and I am bracing myself for the impending poonami that could hit at any moment. Marigolds and hose at the ready. What's the longest anyone else's DC has gone?
Any guesses to my appearance? Grin

Eigmum · 11/07/2013 22:25

I have a bit of a stupid question. I thought we couldn't have a smear until we had a period. I asked the Hv and she didn't know. But as rainbow went for a smear and is ebf then you must be in the same boat as me.am I mid guided?? Did I just ske it up!!
