I hand expressed a bit down the wash basin in the bathroom Grin

We're going to legoland today!

Sorry to hear of bad nights Sad

Barbeasty · 25/06/2013 07:45

Have fun Spotty

We're off to the beach for the day. If DD had her way we'd have left already.

itsMYNutella · 25/06/2013 07:59

Barbeasty a trip to the beach sounds great. Hope you have a great day!

Spotty I can't wait until DS is big enough to enjoy places like Lego land. There is also a playmobil land. I'm really looking forward going there one day Grin

Hales, Mama & WL - I think. Sorry to read about a return to bad nights. Please look away now.

DS had a second great night. Not quite as good as the night before but a massive improvement on where we were just a week ago Smile having some decent sleeps feels soooo good!

MaMaPo · 25/06/2013 08:22

Glad to hear lots of you had good nights. Just put c down for her nap and I'm back in bed too - hopefully can sneak an hour's nap. Feel shattered today - she was so wakeful. Lots of ear grabbing this morning so I think it's teeth.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 25/06/2013 09:24

Not selfish Hales, adrenaline gets you through the first few weeks on so little sleep but the thought of going back to do little terrifies me too!

J went back down at 4:30 until 8:20. It was amazing, I'm off to have my hair cut.

FriendofDorothy · 25/06/2013 13:49

I am really jealous that The Little Mister and The Mister are going to the beach this afternoon. It's beautiful here :)

IsThatTrue · 25/06/2013 16:27

Horrible day with horrible teeth! Angry I wish the bastard things would just come through already! He's only had an hours nap today and he's screamed for the rest of the time!! He's barely been eating as he's hating having anything in his mouth solids-wise except for a rusk and he's not been feeding very well either.

And that was after a horrible night with horrible teeth where DS wouldn't go down in his bed for more than 2 minutes after midnight, so we co-slept from then, which kills my joints as I literally sleep like a statue.

DH has had important meetings today meaning I didn't even have him to sympathise with me. :(

Sorry it's all me me me.

WLmum · 25/06/2013 18:12

Poor mummy and baby isthat

WLmum · 25/06/2013 18:13

Oops posted too soon. I've heard frozen banana sticks are nice for sore teeth and gums.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/06/2013 19:36

Ds isn't settling tonight Sad we didn't get home until 6:30 though. I've got so much I need to do but I just want to go to bed!

WLmum · 25/06/2013 19:54

Hope you had a nice day spotty. I know how you feel about so much stuff to do - I'm feeling its a bit relentless at the moment! Tabs has loads of stuff out now too - playmat, nest, walker so downstairs is permanently an overcrowded tip! Think it might be time to get rid of the nest soon as she's managed to get herself out of it a couple of times and face planted on the floor but its just so handy for her sitting. She's not stable on her own yet so the nest provides her with support and a soft landing while allowing her to sit for a bit and get back to sitting.

I just sneezed during her bedtime feed and made her yell!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/06/2013 19:59

Ds can't sit at all Sad only with his hands like in the fb photo...he's seven months tomorrow...

PurplePidjin · 25/06/2013 19:59

Probably not possible for most but i know there are others here in cloth...

Sainsburys are giving away a free pack of nappies if you spend £50 (including the cost of the nappies, you have to put them through with your order) i emailed my mum earlier (she regularly spends that much anyway) and just saw a thread on here - if you won't use them yourself, get them anyway and donate to a basics bank, church or children's centre

:)

MaMaPo · 25/06/2013 21:35

Spotty, I wouldn't worry too much. Little C can't roll and makes 0 efforts towards locomotion. She can't be bothered.

By the time these kids are 5 we won't know the difference between them.

A teething day here today, but not as bad as Isthat. I can see and feel big lumps up the top but no idea if they're close to breaking through. She was pretty grumbly at her big bedtime feed but managed to feed to sleep. Sleep training can take a backseat while she's teething - she is consistently falling asleep herself for naps so I'm not too worried.

Sleepy dust for all.

2blessed · 25/06/2013 23:08

Sorry to hear about teething troubles.

We had a very grumpy DS this evening, cried the entire car ride home from DMIL.

I'm tucked up in bed feeling tired but not been able to sleep.

Sweet dreams all or I might see you on the wide awake sofa...

halestone · 26/06/2013 00:06

We're back on the wide awake sofaHmm

Ah well its only a phase that will pass and i'm going to enjoy getting extra cuddles off H. even if she is shouting dad, dada, daddy, dad

WillYouDoTheFandango · 26/06/2013 00:41

I know what you mean Hales, I would like to be asleep but sleepy milky cuddles are the best Smile

MaMaPo · 26/06/2013 01:57

2am wide awake baby also checking in...

SpottyTeacakes · 26/06/2013 04:07

Fed ds at 11 and again now. Utterly exhausted as if I wasn't tired enough I've been up half the night with a migraine being sick Sad

MaMaPo · 26/06/2013 04:39

Oh spotty - ouch!

We've had feeds at 10.30, 2 and 4.30. Ridiculously frequently but she's in a bit of discomfort I think. Yawn. Now if only my husband would stop snoring.

2blessed · 26/06/2013 06:44

Sorry about the migraine spotty and everyone else who were on the wide awake sofa last night.

R slept 22.30-06.30! He's not done that in weeks! Putting him back to bed and then express him a bottle.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/06/2013 06:53

Shock Ds is seven months today. I keep thinking of him as a couple of months old Blush dp was really good last night getting up to ds when he didn't need feeding but woke and bringing me water when I was sick (he knows he's not allowed to come near me when I'm being sick!)

IsThatTrue · 26/06/2013 07:14

Was so angry when I came home from running club last night. DH hadn't listened when I told him how to cook the dinner I'd prepared for him so that was wasted! And even worse I'd told him there was breastmilk in the fridge that needed throwing out if it wasn't used so to use that if DS woke, and he didn't, he used the formula cartons! Apparantly I enjoy talking to myself, coz no fucker here listens to me! Angry

I don't know what ds's evening was like but DH managed to move him upstairs at 11.30 without him waking, he slept until 4, quick feed and back down until 7. I did have 1 massive comedy boob by then though Hmm

MaMaPo · 26/06/2013 07:56

How frustrating Isthat - at least you had a decent night though.

2blessed I'll pretend I didn't read about your night. Envy And I completely forgot to wish you a happy birthday!

I think it's time to ditch the dreamfeed. C is waking herself for it so I wonder if it might be habit. I'm getting sick of expressing and still being awake when my husband gives her the feed - feels like doubling up a bit. I'll see what he thinks, as he may really want to keep being involved.

Pretty tired today. I'd go back to bed when C has her nap but I have to get straight onto the phone to the GP at 9 to try to get an appointment. She has some eczema that doesn't seem to be clearing, I want to check whether her inflamed skin on the chin and neck is a drool rash not eczema, and I also need to get her eye checked. She often looks like her right eye deviates inward (ie a squint). I know lots of babies look like that but we have a strong family history - my 4 year old nephew just had bilateral eye surgery for quite a bad squint. I hope all these things are nothing. To be honest it's stressing me out a bit.

In the meantime my husband's off to Wimbledon today. Lucky bastard. Guess who's still in bed?

Barbeasty · 26/06/2013 09:05

Really tired today. A only woke a couple of times, but we didn't get back until nearly 8pm yesterday and it was a long day.

A loved the beach and the sea. I think we can expect some interesting nappies though, given how much sand he ate.

I spoke too soon when I said that at least I had a desk at work this time. Back to being the only permanent hotdesker in the office.

And no handover for the new job until the week after next. So that will be a month back with nothing to do! I might see if I can have tomorrow off to get ready for DD's party on Saturday. Now that we've had one reply (because I chased that mum up yesterday).
