What time in the evening is everyone feeding their babies solids?

IsThatTrue · 23/06/2013 18:54

FoD DS has dinner between 5.30 and 6.30 (although after 6 is too late for him really) when the big dcs eat. Then bath if mucky and feed to sleep between 7 and 7.30.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2013 19:04

Ds has breakfast between 7 and 8, lunch between 11 and 12 and dinner between 4 and 5. This all depends on naps and other feeds

PurplePidjin · 23/06/2013 19:33

IsThat hope he recovers ok and sil/family are well supported. It's a long old road coming back from this kind of shit, dp is way ahead of most, so don't forget them if she appears to be coping onthe surface. My life would be a lot lot easier if someone would take a bit of the burden occasionally or even just acknowledge I'm having it tough. The Stroke Association have been very supportive of dp :)

PurplePidjin · 23/06/2013 19:35

With us at 6-6:30, FoD :)

He gets ever so fussy if i sit him down to eat alone - eats really well around a table with others but struggles if it's just him being fed Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2013 19:43

Oh I just realised you said in the evening Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2013 19:47

DS is always down by seven at the latest, usually ten to and I want to make sure he has room for milk. I would just do what works for both of you. DS has started to really demand solids, by half an hour after his morning feed he is moaning for his breakfast!

WLmum · 23/06/2013 20:11

Amazing mr pidj. Puts me to shame, although I did manage a 30 min power walk round the park today while DH had dd1&2 at swimming. Shows how terribly unfit I've become though.
T has t (did ya see what I did there?!) about 5.30 - tonight she had a cube of chicken casserole with baby rice and bm, then some mashed banana then a boob feed! Just doing bedtime feed.
ispy that so unds sensible.
isthat fx for bil

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2013 20:34

Blocked duct and a milk blister, what more could a girl ask for?

IsThatTrue · 23/06/2013 20:50

pidj it's hard as he's DHs half brother and lives in Wales. I've never met his wife but I know they were going through fertility treatment so I dread to think how she's feeling right now.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2013 21:07

Oh IsThat I missed that, hope your bil makes a speedy recovery and they get all the support they need

WLmum · 23/06/2013 21:16

spotty you are a lucky girl! Hats off to you for keep

WLmum · 23/06/2013 21:17

Oops! Keeping going. Hope baby spotty appreciates what a lovely mummy he has.

PurplePidjin · 23/06/2013 21:23

One cube of casserole? My little greedy guts eats 4 cubes of fruit for pudding Blush that's on top of a meal Blush

He had a slice of beef, 1/4 a carrot, 1/2 small sweet and regular potato and a mushroom blitzed by the hand blender for lunch today. He'll happily eat a pouch of main plus a pot of pudding if out.

Very Hungry CaterPidjlar!

What quantities are normal at 7 months?

WLmum · 23/06/2013 22:24

She's only been weaning for 2 weeks and its a weaning pot rather than an ice cube, beefed up to nice gentle taste/texture with rice and bm. It's quite a bit in the bowl. No idea how it would compare to volume if a pouch.

I caved and put on the cot bumpers on - she woke up with her arm stuck through the bars and does so pretty much every night. Once I've rescued her she settles with a quick pat. Fx the bumpers help.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/06/2013 02:11

First wake up Shock so I'm going with the patting to sleep. Seems to be working....

halestone · 24/06/2013 02:29

No sleep here yet Hmm

OP posts:
halestone · 24/06/2013 03:44

45 minutes sleep.

OP posts:
WLmum · 24/06/2013 04:10

Argh she will not settle

WLmum · 24/06/2013 04:12

She's been fed and cuddled and patted. I know she wants more boob to sleep but I really don't want to when we were doing so well. Crying it is then.

WLmum · 24/06/2013 04:16

Ah that seems to have done the trick!

WLmum · 24/06/2013 04:17

hales what's going on? Has she just been awake all night?

WLmum · 24/06/2013 04:29

She's still protesting a bit (have been in and patted a few times)...seems to have gone quiet...

SpottyTeacakes · 24/06/2013 04:51

Oh no hales and WL Sad

Ds's just woken again but I think I've got him back to sleep.... Maybe not....he probably is hungry now I will feed him!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/06/2013 05:13

Hmm he's now up for the day Hmm
