Your party your theme silverbirdie but then I have only invited children ds1wanted and not who I should invite so etiquette is probably not my thing! Minion cake sounds fun :) dh is going to draw me a bat as a template which ill ice black then going to buy a topper to cut out the yellow badge and some writing so not too taxing!

Sorry to hear about your bf, ds1 was 8lb 12 at birth and 9 at day 5 so definitely getting enough milk but stil tearing me to shreds! I was lucky I got good help early enough and I only had him to worry about but it was definitely about me not him!

Luke is living playing with our new doggie at the moment! He's really settling in now and discovered he likes to play. Luke throws peanuts teddies, balls and peanut grabs them and runs around like and absolute loon. Luke is in hysterics! It's lovely because as much as lovely Nelly she was not a playful dog and the kids mostly had nothing to do with her. She'll always be my girl whereas he's really becoming a family dog :)

Peanut sounds a very lucky doggy! [smie]
I could have coped with pain of bf for a while longer but not the pain from two infected norks..... Honestly cannot describe the hurt. It was suggested that Edith's top palette juts forward slightly like mine does and that could have caused the damage on both......? Who knows.... Anyways....... Going to try to stop talking about it now or I'll get tears again.
Anyone see my FB update this morning? I am still in shock! Boak

cinnamongreyhound · 05/08/2013 22:50

Don't be sad it's one of those things. I had mastitis with both of mine.

Been lucky never to have bathed with floaters, Luke did one once while him and James were in the bath (Luke freaked out but James was strangely calm about it all). Got them to stand up drained bath, removed offending item, rinsed and ran them a new one :)

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2013 08:51

Hey all..... Just an update as have been really quiet recently. Having a rough time with Edith at the mo. she is being treated in hospital for group B Strep. Pretty sure they've caught it in time/before reaching her blood/brain so really hoping there'll be no lasting damage Sad on the strongest antibiotics going which is making her really sick. Bless her. Keep all your available things crossed for us please x

cinnamongreyhound · 13/08/2013 10:18

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that will be keeping everything crossed for you. It sounds positive though, hope the sickness stops soon xxx

Happy birthday Jacob and Isobel! Now you've said it I remember there's a month between them and Luke. I know what you mean it's so scary to think of them being three. I'm looking forward to Luke's birthday because I live birthdays but otherwise I'm not. I've asked him to stay 2 and he said no! Sorry to hear about you and dp, it's so hard to make that decision especially when children are involved. Good luck whatever you decide x

Happy Birthday to Jacob and Isobel for yesterday. I hope they had a lovely day Sassy

Lucy has had a great day. She was really excited about her presents and has been fixing people all day with her Doc McStuffins dress up kit. We had decorating cupcakes instead of cake which all girls loved, it was a bit of a sugar fest which may explain the manic bedtime. Her last prezzie was a new Rapunzel duvet cover which made her squeal with excitement.
We are all looking forward to the party next week then a trip to Flamingo Land then school shopping and back to school then mummy can relax. may even crack open a bottle or two.

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2013 22:20

She looked lovely in her dress up, Happy birthday Lucy!

Cinnamon, all back to normal with grace and her daddy. We just started ignoring behaviour and it only lasted a couple if days. Have had to introduce the naughty step recently as she's smacking and kicking and that's worked a treat too.

Silver how scary, hope she's on the men's soon and that you're back to normal quickly.

What's the post that's been deleted?

Happy birthdays to all who've already had them and those coming up in the next few days.

Debs75 · 15/08/2013 21:02

Can anyone list the birthdays coming up? I always forget who is when.

cinnamongreyhound · 15/08/2013 23:35

Just seen those we're deleted, it was Sassy no idea why!

Time out works well for Luke, usually just the threat of it tbh.

Randomly the only birthday I remember is Aphra's 1st sept! Luke's is 13th :) Friday this year Grin. Ds1 was due fri 13th, lucky he was 2 weeks late I guess!

Grace's birthday is the 14th. Having a garden party and bouncy castle and she's having a big girl bike and other bits. I'm so excited this year. It seems to get more exciting every year.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2013 07:52

We are going to persevere with the balance boy for Luke for a bit longer! It worked so well for ds1 who then rode a peddle bike with no stabilisers within an hour at 4. Luke just won't sit on it, he waddles along with it between his legs so doesn't actually learn anything or have any fun! In case you haven't seen them this is his one

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2013 07:58

Found this YouTube if anyone's interested, it is American though! They really are great and ours was £30 a few years ago, they can get up some really good speeds and ds1 loved his.

OP posts:
newmum001 · 16/08/2013 13:08

She can already ride a bike cause they have them at play group so she'd probably be confused if I got her one without pedals. They do look good though.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2013 15:41

We just had such a nightmare getting dss to ride without stabilisers and he'd get grounded with them on and then get frustrated. He was finally 7 before he rode a proper bike! My friend had one for her dd so we thought we'd try it. Luke still can't pedal, we have several trikes in the garden he just pushes the pedals up and down rather than round and then scoots with his feet. Bikes with stabilisers work for lots of people but its like anything I guess, you're always affected by your experiences. At the moment a balance bike is not looking great for Luke stroppy little git as he just won't try it.

Hi.... Edith is much better but still on oral antibs for three days. So glad to finally have her cannula out. It drove me mad.
Jack has a balance bike and sounds the same as Luke. He doesn't use the saddle, just walks/runs with it between his legs though. Actually, he's never been a fan of sit on toys. I think they're too still for him Grin non stop little chimp who never gives me a minute
Birthday is 20th and we have booked a great soft play for it. Can't wait but no,idea on cake yet.
So, everything comes in threes right?? Edith was breach for a long time so had routine ultra sound on hips today. Her right socket measures too shallow so she's been referred. I almost dropped when the consultant came n and told me. I'm worn out with hospitals/treatments etc. when will it end?
Not heard from lumps for ages..... Hope her pregnancy is going well

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2013 20:36

Oh sorry to hear about her hip silverbirdie but glad she's on the mend. One of my cousins was in a full hip cast for some time as a baby but is a strapping 33 year old with no problems now :). My Bodyshop managers 2 week old baby was rushed to hospital in London on Wednesday and was in surgery on her heart today for possibly 8 hours :( haven't heard yet the outcome but my thoughts are with them. She has another little girl who's 4 months younger than Luke, must be so awful.

Hope lumpylumps is ok too.
