I just use the ready roll icing it's really easy to do and getting cheaper now cos supermarkets stock it. You just roll it out and lay in on. No mixing or colouring. beady I'd do yours really simply, plain victoria sponge covered in white ready roll, piles of snowballs to cover the folds in the icing round the edge. No idea how to avoid them so I just cover them. Paint it over with edible glitter and stand some figures on it. Maybe a blue glitter painted lake and a snowman!!!

Missing my big boy :( how's everyone else's school age ones getting on? We went to get a puncture repair on our car yesterday, on the way home Luke said 'will James be there when we get home?' I said no he's at school having lunch so he then asked if we could take his lunch to him :(

Lucy is missing Robyn, so are we, it is so quiet without them both playing together. Robyn is enjoying her first week but I think she is a bit overwhelmed. Me and Lucy got to play in the nursery today and we saw Robyn having her lunch. It made me feel better as I could see she was settled for lunch and happy. Not looking forward to sending Lucy next September

debs I can't believe they're starting next year, they're just babies.

Tobys settled fine and olly doesn't really notice cos he's at nursery.

I know she still needs an afternoon nap after a morning playing. I wonder how that will go down at school?

So glad Luke waited until September! I had to stop ds1's naps for him to go into the schools nursery in afternoons an he still slept at weekends until he was past 5 :(

I'm still pleased he won't be the oldest tho. My mum was saying last week that if Toby had had to wait till this year, he wouldn't have done as well. He's a real cheeky little 5 year old now. He doesn't like writing and work is boring. When he started at just 4, he didn't know how to be cheeky and just did as he was told. He was a complete sponge and did so much better than a lot of children older than him. I don't expect him to do half as well this year!!

I'm thinking I'll have got it right with the new baby!! It'll be exactly 4 and a half!!!

Grace already knows how to be cheeky and she isn't even 3 yet Grin

She'd be so ready for school at 4 I think so the extra years wait will be a killer.

Lucy's first day back at nursery today. She hates waking up at 6.45am.
She did enjoy herself though. One more term and then she will be at school nursery. I think she is another one ready for school.

Happy bday Luke! Gymnastics sounds fun. Arlo has just started Rugbytots. He lived it. He seems to be pretty good at kicking/throwing/catching balls so thought it would be good to do something structured around that. Also doing swimming lessons. But I keep thinking of other things he might like, such as gymnastics, dancing, football...can't do everything!! Not enough time or money!

Lumpy, I had a low-lying placenta. It had moved by the 32 week scan, I think they do in 95% of cases.

Happy birthday Grace :)

We had a lovely day thank you. Visit to Starbucks (he was cute with his smoothie and chocolate marshmallow in the big comfy seat) and then on to the zoo and pizza and cake for tea :)

Thanks cinnamon. We've had a great day, bouncy castle and party. Unfortunately she woke up with a cold this morning which just got worse and worse all day but she was so good and really had so much fun x

Luke came out of preschool today after his first session and said 'I cried and cried and cried cos I wanted you' :(. His key worker said he had a little cry but she took him to the dinosaurs and he played happily. He said he had fun but doesn't want to go again because he'll be scared without me :(

Aww poor Luke. I bet he had loads of fun really he just missed you. Sometimes Lucy will tell me all what she did, which can be loads then right at the end will say 'but you left me' and have a cry.

Lucy is struggling with the early mornings and has resorted to having naps again. She is still sleeping on a night and goes to sleep pretty well. The mornings though I feel so sorry for her, she just doesn't want to get up.

Poor Luke. They know how to push our buttons don't they?! I'm sure he'll be okay before long, but not much fun for you. Arlo has a settling in session (with me) at one of his two new nurseries tomorrow. The other we're not starting till jan.

How did it go Dixiebell?

Luke went in fine but apparently had a few tears after I left. He said he's scared of zombies without me Hmm

Sounds like a 3-yr-old with older brothers, cinnamon!

It was fine, we were only there an hour, but as soon as we arrived he ran straight off to play in the garden, and I don't think he'd have been all that bothered if I had left. I'm sure he might protest a bit about wanting me there, but can see he'll love playing there.
