Pie was scrummy with salad and garlic bread. R had defrosted AK lentils! Then natural greek-style yoghurt with pureed blueberries. Fingers crossed no vom this time...My new favourite treat food is yoghurt and honey, healthy and delicious yay! I had seconds

R likes Scottish Carol (?? The blonde one) who does the weather in the morning. Keep meaning to take a pic and email it in for her amusement Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 19:35

Pidj we always had natural yoghurt and honey with dried fruit as children. I can still eat quite a lot entire pot in one sitting now. With extra spoonfuls of honey Blush

F is in her cot. Asleep! Waaah! We haven't lowered it yet chasing as this requires the entire cot to be unassembled and rebuilt. But dh is on leave for a fortnight so will get it done towards the end of that, once she's settled in there.

My tea is...cereal and toast Hmm Yum!

ChasingDaisy · 05/06/2013 19:37

Pidj I want to come and live with you. Or have you send me daily food parcels Grin

I will get the ingredients for the AK lentils this weekend and make a batch as they sound quite popular.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 05/06/2013 19:58

chasing we never had the cot on anything but the lowest level as it was used by DD previously and as someone else said it requires disassembling and reassembling the bloody thing! Easiest just to leave it low!

Thanks for gaviscon advice peeps. I have given two feeds whereby he has taken it prior to BF which has worked ok ish! I suspect it won't make any buggering difference but GP said to try for a week so will give it a go and see!

itsnotyouitsMeals · 05/06/2013 20:01

Thanks for the flowers and hugs. It's hard for DH and family. But the girls are ace and have loved having our DDs to play with. They brought a bit of happiness back to everyone I like to think. It was all so shocking at the time and the girls were teenagers. Such a hard time to lose your mum.

Anyway. Glad you had a good holiday bplp. Det sounds like pork don't agree with you! VQ poor J'a skin sounds bad. Stunt sounds like a lucky escape from music exam hell! I always dreaded not being prepared enough. And on that topic, pr DD1 (3.5) can sing in tune I noticed today.

TV is (mostly) limited to Iplayer on the iPad so DD2 doesn't see it. DH has instigated Sat morning tv though so she does get a bit of cbeebies on the actual box. I used to work in children's literacy so tried to avoid tv with DD1 for as long as poss. Obv some doesn't hurt though.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 05/06/2013 20:02

Hmmm. Didn't proof that last message. Lots of mistakes and too many 'sounds'. Ah well.

FatimaLovesBread · 05/06/2013 20:11

Hello all!
Managed to almost catch up yesterday but now there's more posts to read. I'm no good at this keeping up lark Smile

It's my mum's 60 th birthday today, happy birthday Mum!

Going to keep plodding through the posts to catch up. Feeling a bit poo this evening - drove to pick DH up and felt woozy and like my eyes couldn't see properly, I made him drive home. Felt a bit shot since I got home so I've come to be early. I've got a woozy head, nauseous tummy, feel a bit weak - I'm wondering if it's the start of a migraine or a bug, trying not to let my health anxiety rear it's ugly head

PetiteRaleuse · 05/06/2013 20:19

Bugger. I think DD1 has a UTI. Mucous in pee, and slight diarrea. No other symptoms but will keep an eye on her potty tomorrow and take her to paed on Friday if it keeps up.

lily a satellite dish and a freebox. I get the freeview channels :)

itsnotyouitsMeals · 05/06/2013 20:22

Poor DD1 pr.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 20:27

Gah bastarding arse-weasely germs PR - hope all is better in the morning.

Lots of fruit & veg on my shopping list for tomorrow, quite looking forward to a few hours of pureeing. Although not sure when this is going to happen needs to be soon as freezer only has tumbleweed in it

Is it ok to make, say, porridge, with formula milk and then freeze? Dietitian has suggested we try Pepti 2 rather than Nutramigen, so has sent me some in the post. She was lovely, btw. F has an appointment in a few weeks with her too, so need to start writing down the many questions I have!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/06/2013 20:27

She seems fine. Screaming with hilarity right now. If she wasn't going in the potty I wouldn't have noticed anything.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 20:32

Could it be a bit of discharge rather than in wee?

PetiteRaleuse · 05/06/2013 20:39

Could be, but there's none in her knickers. Would have thought there would be if was vaginal discharge?

Slight diarrea aswell so I guess could be digestive? Too many tomatoes?

PurplePidjin · 05/06/2013 20:43

Chasing. In your strong, bright future that you've nearly ready for, visualise you, O, me and R walking down the street buying veg from the weekly market, meat from the nice cheap butcher, taking the boys to the park then meeting friends for coffee. All these are things i do regularly and there's room for more friends. If i had more than a 2 bed flat you'd be welcome to stay, but you're on for lunch any time :o

TheDetective · 05/06/2013 20:49

BP We tested the frozen porridge thing out this week. It was drier on unfreezing, so added a little extra to it. However O seemed to think it tasted crap. Ended up making fresh and he nommed it. So I don't think I'll bother again. Shame, as it would save a lot of time, and hassle with the god damn blender in the morning.

O had Sweet potato with cinnamon (AK!) tonight. Fucking hell he devoured it.

He's loved pretty much everything I have made him this time round. The difference with this batch - NO MILK!

Well, only in the porridge and cauli cheese - which we haven't tried yet. Will do that tomorrow!

ValiumQueen · 05/06/2013 20:56

Detective blend the dry porridge all at once, then put it back in packet and use as necessary.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 20:58

I've picked 10 AK recipes to make, had to limit myself otherwise I would just have made the entire book. Asda had some perfect sized snack pots, round, 3 inch diameter and about an inch deep. 4 for £1 - I bought 3 packets and will pick up some more tomorrow.

My mum had some snazzy porridge oats which were really thin, and F had those this morning without too much issue. Will make some apple & cinammon icecubes and do fresh porridge each morning then. What O says, goes!

TheDetective · 05/06/2013 20:58

Good tip there VQ! I didn't think of doing that! Have you tried it then?!

Grin
BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 21:00

Also, wtf is a mouli? And will the world end if I put sweetcorn in a regular blender instead of a mouli?

TheDetective · 05/06/2013 21:03

Not a fucking clue. Everything went in the blender here!!

PurplePidjin · 05/06/2013 21:10

R mostly just gets blended up dinner now. So far bolognaise, tuna pasta, lamb shanks, roast beef and chicken curry. I'm doing it wrong, aren't i Confused

Pidj That is what I would be doing now if O didn't have fucking intolerance to shit!

He'd be having bits of what we were having in general.

He could of had the same as us tonight but ours wasn't ready til 6.30 and he was hungry at 5, so he had it seperate!

BigPigLittlePig · 05/06/2013 21:12

Pidj No. You're not doing it wrong at all - but you have been blessed with a wee baba who is not a slave to his guts, or his gag reflex Grin. I think F would explode if I gave her even half of that. I will be hanging out the flags the day she can eat the same as us, but in the meantime I need to find a way to jazz up what would otherwise be a diet of, er, sweet potato. And pear.
