I have just established there is no Waitrose in Norn Iron. Sad

Ah well never mind. There are no mountains in Bracknell.

PurplePidjin · 03/06/2013 12:39

Evil, can you feed him on scabby horse ready meals for a week and see how he likes it? I mean cheap own brand ones, not naice m+s obviously!

Yay catbag Thanks i only managed a Desmond straight out of school with no commitments

StuntNun · 03/06/2013 13:02

No Aldi either Sophia. Or John Lewis.

cat!!!! been thinking about you! Assumed it was your degree keeping you busy! Don't desert us again!

VQ I had the money in my hand, she thrust it at me grabbed the money and shut the door. It was only a fiver. But still... Cheeky bitch!

O had shaving foam fun at baby group this morning!

He's not fed much today. 5.30 5oz. Breakfast at 8.15 was porridge and apple cinnamon. He didn't take much I suspect because it had been frozen even though I thinned it put with extra milk (went a bit thicker when defrosted!). Gave him a fruit pot which he took half of. And 40mls of water.

He didn't want a feed since. At 12.45 I gave him one anyway as we were going back out. He took 5oz.

Guess it's the food?

He's been very happy and chilled today. My sunny little baby has come back out to play!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/06/2013 13:33

catbag that's brilliant. Well done you !

ValiumQueen · 03/06/2013 13:52

I have just listed my first item on Gumtree. All by myself! Very proud. Even got pics up the right way.

J is taking small amounts of milk. May well be back at Dr tomorrow.

PurplePidjin · 03/06/2013 14:03

R is still asleep, 1 1/2 hour nap. I've had a sit down and finally finished my woolly hug squau:o

PetiteRaleuse · 03/06/2013 14:12

Agh.. DD1 just found a packet of marshmallows. And has eaten lots of them while I have been settling LO. Ooh the sugar rushed afternoon is going to be fun. Just what I need today.

Pikz · 03/06/2013 14:47

Catbag you are a legend!!! I thought of you when I had an ikea car incident!!!!

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 15:03

Afternoon quiche Smile

Well done Cat! A 2:1 is awesome! I didn't even manage that without a house full of kids and 7 month old twins Grin

Evil that is a very strange view your P has. Does he genuinely think that processed food is better for N?!

VQ I'm sorry that you and J are missing the meet today Sad I really hope he feels better soon.

Am on the verge of sending out a search party for you pig Wink Hope you and F are well and just enjoying the sunshine.

Took O to town this morning to see my mum. He really likes her and gave her lots of smiles. He ended up having a screaming meltdown though as he had been awake for 3 hours so I ended up having to walk him the hour home rather than taking the bus as I didn't want to subject the other passengers to his screams. Luckily he slept on the walk home. I'm shattered now. Just been wrapping presents for P's birthday tomorrow and now spinning on the sofa while O naps.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 03/06/2013 15:21

I think BPLP is on a road trip to see her parents. Am sure she mentioned packing.

evil your 'D'P is odd. What are his reasons? Totally agree with everything stunt said.

chasing I hope those presents are dog poo and sweaty bin juice did not cost you a fortune in time, effort and money.

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 15:27

Ahh yes Madam

The presents are from O really. I have bought him one thing that he asked for.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 15:41

Have to say stunt I do like John Lewis. I only use Waitrose about once every couple of months for treats so can cope! I did near though that they were trying to get planning for a John Leiws at Sprucefiled but there were some problems.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/06/2013 16:06

I've seen pig on WWF I think this morning.

evil your partner doesn't believe a word of what he is saying he is just trying to undermine you and dent your confidence by implying that you are not capable of feeding your own child. He's being a twat. Ignore.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 16:07

What is "spinning on the sofa" chasing? Confused

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 16:50

Ha, slumming on the sofa Grin Blush

Pikz · 03/06/2013 17:00

Chasing lol

VQ I am so sorry to hear about J sending you and him a big hug

Question.... Do I need to change Ls formula now over 6 months?

YellowWellies · 03/06/2013 17:02

Evil remind your P of the horsemeat / horse drugged food scandal - what did it affect processed or homemade food? Hmmmm? That is a really dumb ass view - is he scared of choking? Does he not understand what is good for babies?

YellowWellies · 03/06/2013 17:03

VQ you guys were missed. Pass, MM, MrsWee was FAB to see you and the tiddlers Smile Smile Smile

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 17:16

pikz good formula question. I think the NHS advice is that is not necessary. I am not planning to.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/06/2013 17:17

Hello! I'm still here chasing, just not sofa-dwelling for once. Lovely sunshine at my mum and dads, F being entertained lots by her Nana whilst I do nothing Grin. She has totally mastered sitting now and has been displaying her newfound skills in the back garden for most of the day. Now v tired and awaiting dinner then bed. Her dribble rash is really bad at the moment, and she's got some funny rash on her face too. Not sure if it's a reaction to something or er....something else...

Catbag well done you, I can barely function with 1 baby - you are a champ.
VQ that is all.
Hope the Scottish lot enjoy their cake nomming today.
Evil P is being a bit of a nobber, ignore, as PR said.
Chasing hope there's some of that lethal white powder stuff in Ps birthday card (see can't remember even basic words Confused)

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 17:33

Have you put suncream on her face pig? Could be a reaction to that maybe. Or heat rash? Or, something else...Grin

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 18:29

I would love a bit of advice if possible. I have a very screamy baby today, which is quite unlike him. It may well be teething as he has calmed down with some teething gel and a teether from the fridge. However, I am wondering if it could be a reaction to bread/wheat/gluten. He had pitta for the first time this morning and the few other times he has had bread he has been a very sad boy too. Would there be other signs of a reaction/intolerance to bread? Could it just be his tummy adjusting to a new foodstuff? Should I carry on offering it or avoid for now?

Also, dairy. O has eczema. Is that a reason to proceed with caution? Which dairy should I offer to start with?

BigPigLittlePig · 03/06/2013 18:37

Hmm she's had suncream before and been fine. Will see what it's doing in the morning. She's already in bed for the night! Who would ever have thought it!?

I do wonder what time we'll be up in the morning though...

TheDetective · 03/06/2013 18:57

Formula - stick with first milks unless advised otherwise by GP/HV (thinking along the lines of those on specialist formulas). No need for follow on at all. :)

Chasing It could well be. It's hard to tell at first, I would keep a note of his behaviour every time he has any, and look out for things with it in too. With eczema often children have allergies/intolerance too. DS1 is lucky - he has really bad eczema, but no allergies. O has the mildest eczema, but totally reacts. My kids have to do things the opposite way...!

I just tried Hazelnut milk. I quite liked it. DP and DS1 hated it!

I have really bad chaffing on my legs Blush. I wish I had some lansinoh right now. Damn it. I've been doing a lot of walking today. The chaffing on the legs have kept my mind off the aching vagoogoo. Swings and roundabouts Hmm.

O has been a lovely chilled out happy baby all day. I counted my blessings. A lot. He's now watching his favourite - the lion king (!) and nomming a muslin cloth before bed time. I'm pooped. I am hopeful for self settling. Please?
