Better go and straighten my hair. I look like Grace Poole as well as sound like her.

Cacacaz · 03/06/2013 07:23

Hello, again, everyone. I keep saying I will try harder to post. I should just accept its not going to happen, considering I start work today and will have even less time on my hands.

Welcome Mrs G

Ladies and babies of Scottishland happy cake munching today Smile

Izzy thank you Grin. I have been expressing every morning for months so M will have expressed milk in a bottle. I do have an amazing supply, which is why I donated milk to Yorkhill. I think I will have to give that up though.

Thanks for all the good luck and licking wishes ladies SmileI'm sorry I can't post more right now, little man is awake and I need to get organised. Not only is it my first day back at work, it's a new job since, I was made redundant after Christmas. I'm looking forward to today but apprehensive and nervous about leaving Murray Hmm. Also feeling tearful that maternity leave is over and my days can't be spent with M. I know deep down that he will be absolutely fine.

Evilwater · 03/06/2013 07:27

Ugg....
Took N swimming again yesterday, I was hoping for a 8am start, but no.
P Still thinks that the processed jars are better in every way, compared to my cooking. Crazy idiot!

Now what shall I do for N lunch today?

A homemade extravaganza evil Grin

Lily311 · 03/06/2013 07:47

She slept from 6.30 till 6.30 ducks and runs out of thread.

I have a Maclaren triumph. I bought it for my sister 7 years ago. 7 years and 3 kids on it still has the label as she never ever used it. Lucky me. O is still not good in it, I guess another month or so. It will be a good buggy for the car as my bjcm is quite wide for the boot and I have to squeeze it on the back seat. Speaking of cars, I need to buy one. A small with air conditioning and automatic gears. Any suggestions? I will only use it for O and I, I don't need big boot.

Cooking chicken soup today and will use the veggies and chicken for O.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 03/06/2013 07:58

sophia will try and remember not to lick anyone loudly today at work. Although will remember this one for DD. I once licked her face and told her that was how mummy cats clean their babies and she now thinks licking people's faces is hilarious. All my own fault. Grin

lily I have a vauxhall corsa. It's always been fab for us. Fab news about the sleep Envy

At my desk. Trying hard to ignore the smell of bacon. My dept is right next to the canteen. They bake baguettes fresh every morning, cook bacon, and brew coffee timed exactly when I stroll into work. But I have decided to acquire myself some willpower. I think. Smile

Passmethecrisps · 03/06/2013 08:12

Morning!

Sorry chasing and kyz for worrying you! I ended up with the theme to watership down in my head after pp mentioned it. Actually, you are much too young probably to have seen it. It is an animated film from the late 70's/early 80's about rabbits. The song Bright Eyes is vair sad and was the first song my brother ever sang.

Shitty night here. Up at 1:10am with p whimpering. Finally got her back down at 4am. More whimpering -
(Albeit briefly) at 5:30. I have no idea what was wrong with her. The whimpering became full on wailing at about 3:30 when DH hurried off to get some calpol. Gave that and she settled very quickly. No idea if the wailing meant that whatever was wrong was reaching its peak therefore passed naturally or if the calpol genuinely eased something. Fingers crossed whatever it was doesn't come back.

Looking forward to the haggis meet today.

Passmethecrisps · 03/06/2013 08:13

Good lick luck today cacacaz!

madam that sounds torturous!

StuntNun · 03/06/2013 08:16

Izzy my J was diagnosed with reflux at six months and he was transformed with the meds. He suddenly started sleeping better, eating his solid food, stopped puking over night, seemed much happier in himself and stopped thrashing about during feeds. Unfortunately it's gone to pot a bit now due to teething. He's also continuing along the same centile line just below the 75th. I wasn't convinced it was reflux myself, I was just desperate to do something about all the problems but it really has made a huge difference to him. And I love not getting puked on!

I wish Sophia, the argument we had was right infront of N again Angry. He also said some hurtful things too, more about my mum and then he wants N to be 1 before trying any homemade food. Hmm

I have to make a appointment for the drs as my right hip is killing me, it's been painful for over a week now.
Great N has vommed!

Evilwater · 03/06/2013 08:34

And again! My poor carpet.

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 08:51

Rubbish night. O also refused porridge or puree this morning but chomped on pitta bread. I doubt he's actually taking much in though so am worried about him lacking nutrients.

Luckily, from 9.30 it is just me and O for 12 hours and we are off to town to meet my mum for cake.

Good luck today cacacaz Smile

MissMummy1 · 03/06/2013 08:58

Plenty of Brew Brew Brew waiting in NQF for the sleep deprived!

Speaking of sleep deprived, I have told 'D'P that as we are now both working pretty much full time (granted 74hr weeks versus my 20hrs of faffing but still...) and I have M alllllll day every day - WHILST working(!) - it is only fair he does all the nights when he is at home for the forseeable. 2 nights down and he seems okay with this, M is only getting up twice max now anyway. As with everything though the novelty of things wears off with him very quickly. He has also been banished to the spare room since duvet nicking night. Prat.

Cacacaz you will be amazing today! Lots and lots of luck xoxox

Lily I had my mums corsa for a year and it ticks all your boxes, except mine was a manual. I learned to drive in one too. In fact, if this insurance fuck up goes through I may end up buying another corsa to build up my no claims in again. My first proper car that was all mine was a peugeot 206. I loved that car. Blush

In other car related news, my sister and her deathtrap 20 year old corsa have moved in with my dad. I dont post much about him but safe to say he is a total arsehole and as far as I am concerned my stepdad is matilda's grandad. Anyway, my sister's car (that she only bought to piss my mum and stepdad off) dropped all of its oil all over his new driveway Grin

Bad MM1....

Catbag · 03/06/2013 09:58

I'm back! Sorry, haven't caught up with anything at all. Think I must have missed a couple of threads. The ending of my degree took more effort than I ever thought possible. But exams done and dissertation submitted on Friday, so nothing left to be done. A bit devastated that I've probably missed out on my first, but I guess a 2:1 with five kids, 2 of which are 7 month old twins, is ok

Going to try and catch up now :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 10:04

The Broadmorrr alarm test sounds different today. Maybe they have notice I escaped mwahhahahahaha! Grin

YellowWellies · 03/06/2013 10:11

Catbag You are a legend. That is all. Fact.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 03/06/2013 10:15

catbag a 2:1 is amazing in any circumstances I am the proud owner of one which I did not deserve and utterly incredible in yours. Be very proud of yourself. I will also categorically state that some of the best lawyers I have worked with are not those with the prize-winning, top degrees. So let your degree open the next door for you and enjoy whatever comes next. Is it the BVC?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 10:24

Well done catbag that is amazing you should be very proud. I hope you are in for a relaxing summer enjoying your children. Xx

ValiumQueen · 03/06/2013 11:06

Awesome Catbag. You are amazing x

Missing the quiche meet as J is vomiting. Poor little scrap. Poor me!

ValiumQueen · 03/06/2013 11:07

Sophia perhaps the alarm sounds different as it is not a test. Perhaps a resident has escaped.

ValiumQueen · 03/06/2013 11:08

Not that I want to scare you or anything Confused

ValiumQueen · 03/06/2013 11:27

Lily how strange your sister did not use the pushchair. Good you get to use it though. It is often said that everyone ends up with a Maclaren and I can see why. I keep looking at it, inbetween clearing up vomit.

StuntNun · 03/06/2013 11:28

Wtf Evil why would he want N to be 1 before eating home cooked food? That's completely mental and the absolute reverse of what most parents want for their children. I'm all in favour of ready made baby food to make your life easier but it can't replace home cooked food. Ready made stuff tastes the same every time plus the quality of the ingredients isn't as stellar as the manufacturers would have you believe. Add to that that it's expensive. Honestly by about nine months N could be having what you're having most of the time. We just cook without salt, take out a portion for the baby then add salt before serving if necessary. I would usually dole out a couple of baby portions so there's something for the next day if we're eating something the baby can't have. I really hate the expression 'rod for your own back' but it fits your DP's attitude to baby food perfectly.

StuntNun · 03/06/2013 11:31

Just to clarify I mean jars etc. can't replace home cooked food all the time. I have a few pouches in for J at the moment because it's easier at the moment with him being out of sorts through teething but he still gets to nom on a bit of our food when he's with us at dinner time. I'm going to try him on steak today which should make the dog very happy.

YAY Catbag I was thinking / wondering about you only the other day .. you should be very proud of yourself x
