Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Well last night J managed 5 hours without a feed. Although he fed at 9,10,11 and 1am but then not til almost 6! Pity he didn't stay the Fuck asleep!

He's fed funny all day today though.

Whoever said about silent reflux and the chewing the cud thing... yw no doubt? . J does that! Only noticed in last few days but if we pay attention we can see and hear him actually swallow the sick back down! Yeuch, poor boy.

Someone mentioned christenings a few pages back, looks like J will have his near end of June. I need to be confirmed and become member of the church first which I'm a bit apprehensive about. Any ideas what he should wear? I was thinking a kilt or suit? As for me, I was hoping we could have it after I've lost a few stone but that ain't happening so looks like I'll be fat! Worried about feeding on the day as well as J not consistent with his bottle taking.

cacacaz not sure if you'll manage to read this in the morning but I hope you have a fabulous first day at work. M will be fine and you will love coming home to him. Can I ask what your doing about feeding? Will u express? I'm just wondering as I'll need to figure something out although to be fair looks like work will be next year due to op. Don't know how I'm going to manage to continue BF when I'll be in hospital for a week though!

Operation bedtime in buzzy household. J is asleep on DH so his job tonight. Not hopeful for much as he hasn't fed much. Though this made his nighttime feed choke him as my boobs were so bloody full!

Brockle · 02/06/2013 22:52

tried AK's chicken and Apple yesterday but he was having none of it. he will get the gist eventually. Confused

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 23:04

Oh bugger! Well, can't be worse than my Spag Bol eating cousin (did you read that one!).

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 23:11

PR that just makes me want to meet you all the more Smile

I really like the Cath Kidston Maclarens. Sad I know, but they are pretty. And quality pushchairs. Thank you for thinking of me Detective. I would not be so keen on a pram from a smoking or cat household although the covers can be washed. I remember winning a PnT on eBay, travelling some distance, and it ponging of smoke even though it was outside, and there were cigarette burns all over it too! I did not buy it, as it was not pristine as described.

Izzy a week in hospital would not be conducive to bf unless you pumped. I managed a 24 hour hospital break at 8 months with DD2 and we carried on feeding with no problems.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 23:13

What? My big nose?

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 23:23

VQ I went to see a 4 week old immaculate Graco a few days ago. Did the woman think I was fucking blind to all the stains and piss marks all over it? Some people are twats. I am just glad it was literally around the corner from my house. Or I'd have given her a mouthful for time wasting!

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 23:32

Fuck. I just walked in O's room to check on him before bed. He was half awake. But sitting up in his Moses basket. I nearly died of shock. Shock

Think he must have woke and pulled himself up on the handles. Confused

Go back to sleep. And stay flat you little sod!

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 23:33

Detective, I am curious. Why did you not tell the seller where to shove the sling then?

J is going to wake. He sounds awful Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 02/06/2013 23:41

Eliza what a lovely thing for your DH to say in his wedding speech Smile

pass you ok?

Have we heard from pig today?

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 23:55

I think Pass is ok. She was humming Bright Eyes due to PPs post. I assume anyway. Unless I have missed something.

J is so wheezy. Dr said to expect this due to bronchiolitis, but it is horrid and I cannot sleep as I know he will wake soon and be upset. Poor wee boy. And DD2 is coughing again.

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 23:56

I seem to recall BP on FB, but no, she has not posted today. I think.

GTbaby · 03/06/2013 00:26

Det I have the xlr. I think. Is that the big Maclaren? I really like it. Issue is its long when folded. So is actually to big for our boot. Hmm

GTbaby · 03/06/2013 00:40

Omg. My boobs are so itchy it's unreal. Shock I forgot this part Hmm it's only been a year. Pls don't let me forget the SPD pain ok everyone n mention frequently after LO is born so there is no chance of me going through this again.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 03/06/2013 02:32

Well she's finally learnt to roll which she couldn't despite having been able to sit for over a month and a half. But now she won't sleep because she's trying to roll.

And the fucking cat bit me. Don't google cat bites. I have and am on the verge of running screaming to A and E. will see GP tomorrow.

Chasing. I can imagine how hard it is to find the strength to leave. I am thinking of you.

Det. Sitting up?! Wow.

Hello mrs G.

I wanted to say more but fear of cat bite infection and lack of sleep have made me forgetful.

Night.

ChasingDaisy · 03/06/2013 03:00

Hello 3am

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/06/2013 04:36

Hello 4am. I'm sick of seeing you. J kept choking and coughing tonight, on vomit that he swallow back down I'd guess. Not fun. Not sure where to go from here.

YellowWellies · 03/06/2013 05:18

Izzy get him to the docs asap - 7 months of acid burns will have made a mess of his throat and, left unchecked could risk damage to his vocal chords etc. He will fight solids until it has had chance to heal. Also he's a big lad who's been comfort feeding because of the pain of acid erosion - if you get him on meds he will stop using you as an antacid at all hours of the night - so don't be alarmed if he falls down the centiles. If you don't see an improvement within a week on meds then you might need to consider CMPI. Be careful of formula if you think it could be dairy related. Poor wee man Sad

PLEASE anyone else with a spectacular sleep avoiding baby - get them checked for reflux. I know from our Mum's generation we're taught that bad sleepers are just 'strong willed' and in need of training, but really babies (other than at evil fecking regressions) need and like sleep - if they are not sleeping its far more likely to be because they are in pain than 'being bad sleepers' for the hell of it.

YellowWellies · 03/06/2013 05:31

Oh and put some books under the head end of his cot so he's sleeping at an angle - this'll help keep the acid down.

Nobody wants their wee one to have reflux and while its tempting to think they'll grow out of it without treatment - if it is CMPI they can suffer til 4 or 5. If that wasn't medicated you'd have the very real risk of a child unable to speak due to acid damage. So even if you have in laws harrumphing that 'we didn't have reflux in my day' - give your baby the benefit of the doubt and go to the doctors. They don't really delight in being sleep thieves for no reason.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/06/2013 05:50

I have been awake all night. Agh. Can't blame LO though she was up for 10 minutes at 1. And is now happily blowing raspberries on my knee.

I'm so tired, every other night or so just unable to sleep maybe more than an hour. I don't know how I'm going to manage the girls.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 03/06/2013 06:17

I have a McLaren Techno XLR (black and champagne). I luffs it. Also have a P&T in bright green. I have a love/hate relationship with that one.

DS slept 6.30 - 4.45am. I love that the end of the illness seems to have stopped the multiple night wakings, but it is very early starts. He's so happy though, I get woken by him singing away in his cot. But going to get him invariably wakes DD, so the whole household is up at 5am. Today I took advantage and went for a run. Am starting couch to 5k. Time to get healthy plus there is a small mountain to climb my almost 20 stone arse up in 3 months for which I am yet to do any meaningful preparation.

cacacaz someone mentioned today is your first day back at work - lots of luck!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 06:42

pr idon't know how you will manage today either. Do you need a hand? Ooooo I wish I could lend a hand. If it was a normal year I would take you up on your offer and I would come and look after your cats. Really I would. But I am saving all my hols.

cacacaz good licks for today.

detective your porridge should be ok. I used to do one with apricots in it and freeze in portions. Bit stodgy when it comes out but a bit of milk and it thins out.

I have changed the way I am doing the weaning slightly from the other and only have a few things on the freezer. I tend to try once and then move on. We are enjoying beef and sweet potato stew at the mo. I do pasta sauces up on a Fri and keep it in the fridge over the weekend and both boys have it ( assume ing the girls aren't here) we had courgette and tomato pasta this weekend. O had stars and DS1 just had penne with his. Then was inspired by fb pictures they both had some asparagus to chew on as well!

I have to say I do mix a bit of Ella's kitchen in here and there more than I have done with the others as I am so busy. I refuse to beat myself up over it I cook fresh for the whole family apart from that and that is 6 people a lot of the time and I go to work.

And DH is back. Grin I wined him and dined him last night with a curry feast all made by moi. Mixed grill starters, lamb, spinach and potato curry, Tarka Dahl, chapati and peshwari nan a lovely bottle of wine. He defo is my lobby lobster!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 06:42

Obviously is luck. No licking aloud in the workplace!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 06:44

Or even allowed. Good heavens and this woman is let loose during daylight hours.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 06:44

Ok SO

NO LOUD LICKING IN THE WORKPLACE

Sophiathesnowfairy · 03/06/2013 06:44

Have I frightened everyone off?
