hi mrsg! lovely to see you posting!

I'm with you on the down day chasing, not in the mood today, start of a period, elyza having a bad refluxy day and eric refusing his tea because I dared to leave lumps in it. never mind on all of the above, elyza is settled now, I will not feel like crap forever I hope and eric will be a pro with lumps before I know it.

have never thought of pureeing sweetcorn. I don't know why, I did him peas.

detective you are a puree queen methinks! lots of lovely combos there! what do you do with blueberries? do you cook stuff like that or just squish through a sieve/puree skins included? see chasing I know very little still, I'm always asking for help

all ok pass?

sounds like a busy day lily

I need to puree some meat, e doesn't really get much in the way of protein, I shave tiny bits of meat off and add to veg when we have something and I remember. I also need to do more variety I think. breakfast is always a cereal and fruit or toast, lunch is veg sticks and veg puree and fruit or yoghurt or toast depending on breakfast and tea is what we have or me flapping and chucking bits and pieces at him.

is rice a bad idea at this age? except rice balls that I need to look up how to do

MissMummy1 · 02/06/2013 21:03

Go the fuck to sleep Matilda...

Pikz · 02/06/2013 21:04

PR that sounds amazing... If I wasn't off to Canada would be over!!!

Mrs G come join the party :)

Right off to bed with some new weight loss motivation. Am going to get thin to go wedding scoping in Mauritius in September! Yay to eloping!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/06/2013 21:07

Oh god pr how shit! I'd normally be well up for that, but we go to cyprus on the 19th June so the dates wouldn't work. Hope someone comes to your rescue.

Have been knackered today after a late night. Green day were bloody brilliant and I'm not really a massive fan. It was a georgous day and it pains me to say it (I hate Arsenal) but the emirates stadium is fantastic and a great music venue. It reminded me how much I love live music. Used to go to loads of gigs back in the pre kids days.

My mum looked after DD1 and E ok. I think she found it tough to settle E but they both survived so it can be done.

We had 4 viewings on our house over the weekend with a second viewing today so there is more interest out there. We do have an offer on the table but it's too low. I'm not as depressed about it all as I was though. We have a lovely house that we are more than happy in so if we have to stay here for a year or two then so be it.

On the subject of relationships, I don't post much about DH but I too have found my lobster. He takes me the piss out of me all the time and keeps me on my toes. But I love that, I need that. He said in his wedding speech he is my no 1 fan and I trust completley that he will never let me down. I can't pretend that I've had it half as bad as some of you have with regards to exes and a few of your current "D"P's (looks at chasing and MM1. There is absolutley no reason at all to settle for anything less than lobster, ever.

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 21:12

Kyz With the blueberries, I cooked them in boiling water for 3 minutes. Makes them nice and soft. Then put them in the blender. Just as they are.

Peaches - put a cross in the bottom of them with a knife, then plunge in boiled water for about 45 seconds, run under cold water, and then the skin will just peel off. Chop the flesh up and puree. Or give as finger foods.

If you have the AK book, it will tell you how to do the various fruits for pureeing!

Sweetcorn I did canned and cooked it for a few minutes. I used frozen yesterday and did the same. Then just added it to whatever I was pureeing.

The apple and cinnamon porridge is my greatest achievement yet. It smelled bloody divine! And the sweet potato with cinnamon just as good too!!! Grin

Am hoping the porridge will have frozen okay and won't taste like shit tomorrow!!

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:36

Lily the nearest airport is Luxembourg. Or Brussels or Paris with a train journey... I don't think Budapest go directly to Luxembourg it's supposed to be a fucking international airport godammit

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:39

I have masses of carrot puree in the freezer. :o

MrsG two posts. Yeah! We are reeling you in. Come on, just a little bit closer and we'll get ya

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 21:43

Hello all x

MM my chest is ok now thankfully. J is a bit on the ropey side so I will see how he is overnight. I really want to come tomorrow, but do not want to subject the other babies to a germ obviously. He gets snotty and mucousy overnight, but is fine in the day, just pukes his first bottle.

I have a Maclaren Techno GT Grin pre-loved and in excellent condition. Blue and cream suede type effect, with cosy toes, parasol and raincover. Local FB page £35 so would have been rude not to. I was hoping to get one at the end of the summer, but that was just meant for me! I can now happily get rid of the pink peril, and the PnT. Still keeping the Mountain Buggy much to DHs disdain.

A nice day today, at the park mostly, then in the garden.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:43

Detective the sinks are fucking fabulous lies

ValiumQueen · 02/06/2013 21:46

I would love a holiday PR, but no passport for any of us. The lady gave me the buggy bag too 'for when we go on holiday' so I smiled sweetly. It will be a long long time before we can go on holiday abroad. Besides PR, I want to meet you at BLS!

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:47

Relationships: DH is also my lobster. Had to get past several sharks to find him. We wind each other up no end, but each arguement ends up with us cracking up laughing. You'd think it would end with a massive shag but we're waiting for his post snip results :o

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 21:49

I've been stalking Maclarens VQ I actually found one the other day, and was thinking of you. Was going to message you, but the woman told me they smoked. I didn't think you would want it then!

Every time I find one, it is from a smokers house. Doing my head in! There was a fab one on eBay ended tonight, but it went slightly over my budget. Raaaaah!

PR I can see your nose!!!

Pikz · 02/06/2013 21:51

I stalked maclarens til I got my xlr techno in red and penguin. Looooove it! Ebaytastic!

Well done VQ!

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:52

Ah. You're still on for that vq ? I thought the mutual aquaintances might have scared put you off meeting me :o

If you are staying at your MIL you'll be just down the road. Literally. I need to prioritise seeing my family, so am hoping the weather will be good enough for a day in the Lakes on the Saturday with my gorgeous n's. But Sunday brunch? Or Sunday afternoon tea? Or we could kill several birds with one stone?

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 21:52

I want a XLR or techno in persian rose. Find me one in perfect condition please Grin.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/06/2013 21:53

Detective not surprised. It seems to have got bigger with age.

Pikz · 02/06/2013 21:54

Persian red? Shall keep my eyes peeled its what colour mine is!

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 21:56

Yes please! £80 is as high as I want to go really!

Pikz · 02/06/2013 22:02

Found a brand new for £130 in Manchester but its a bit steep!

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 22:05

Yup :( The one on ebay went for £105 tonight.

Clarella · 02/06/2013 22:18

Chasing I know it's hard to get confused when things are better but there's a lot of sage advice amongst the quiche re your xp. I saw a friend repeatedly return to her abusive partner and it got worse each time. Stay strong :)

Meat and weaning ( though I'm mega late to party!!!) - both my mum and my mil keep saying what a good first meat plaice makes but obv chicken easier and cheaper! Apparently very fine texture. Hv recommended boiling cubes of chicken I think?? Going to talk again tomorrow to check as I'm out of my depth too!

despite constantly undermining my boobs and wanting to use formula dh is my lobster. He only wants to do formula to take the 'pressure off me' but he doesn't really get the bf thing at this stage - that it's not just 'food and feeding'. Mega distractible teething baby who still can't handle my let down barely fed yesterday and I mostly wrestled the few feeds he did do (9,1 and 4 but very short) as we were out in York meeting a friend and then staying at parents. Dh seemed to think he'd take a bottle. then we witnessed our friends 8 mo old bottle refusing too. Dh gets his stickers in a twist over lo then feeding/ waking every hour. But I'm a pro at that now :) (no netting!) APART from that I'm utterly in love with him for single handedly preparing and laying our back yard lawn last week in order for it to be ready when the sun briefly pops out at some point in the next few weeks.

Houston do we have a problem if lo is still waking every hour at 25 weeks?!

Brockle · 02/06/2013 22:30

I am an expert lurker but got excited at the sight of mrsg Grin

I have mclaren envy. have a cheap light chicco stroller but need to be able to justify a second hand mclaren when I get back to work and can afford it Smile. on my side is DH's dislike of current stroller.

Y dislikes all puree apart from fruit puree. I never had this trouble with my other DS's. he is just six months so hoping he cottons on soon. love AK's book and have two chicken and her lovely lentil recipe in my freezer. purreed spinach is the work of the devil as is weetabix. Grin

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 22:33

Yes you can boil cubes of chicken as DP reminded me yesterday! as you would if making a stew etc.

When we did chicken, potato, peas and sweetcorn for him yesterday, it was all in one pan, and boiled. The peas and sweetcorn added near the end obviously.

TheDetective · 02/06/2013 22:34

Brockle, try apple with some chicken if he just likes fruit purees? O prefers fruit ones as they are thinner, and sweeter. I've done apple, carrot and chicken from AK. It looks more like a fruity puree.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/06/2013 22:39

brockle E had spinich puree for dinner today. I agree it is the devils work. The mess! I have a great after photo.
