Det are you blending the porridge after you have cooked it? Try Blend it before? Then you can do a batch of dry porridge ready for when you need it?
Or Lo is on weetabix with formula. Very quick. And I mash half a banana. It is a bit lumpy. But LO doesn't mind lumps, but again you can blend the weetabix in a batch before hand. I think weetabix would be quicker then defrosting porridge?

ChasingDaisy · 01/06/2013 12:52

Detective the baked toast is great. I made a batch on Monday and it has lasted all week.

Looks like, on the whole, sleep is improving. Gives me hope as O is one of the youngest. No reflux or intolerances here as far as I am aware.

MIL just been to pick up P for his birthday meal. O thankfully allowed himself to be cuddled without crying so they may shut up about that for a while. She did come bearing an article about babies with flat heads needing to wear helmets 23 hours a day for 6 months though Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/06/2013 13:12

stunt hooray for mum. Will we remember fall our mums did for us as adults I wonder and bestow the same blessing on our children? ( or in my case what I imagine my mum would have done for me as and adult with about 50 children)

mm hooray Matilda. Good work. And about the duvet stealing admission.

det ta for putting that stuff on FB. Since I have decided to experiment on DS1 it gave me a reminder of what alternatives, and those that DS2 could as I make up some pasta sauces that does them both with different sized pasta.

vq I read earlier in a Fred that the wibbly tummies has been reignited. I have managed to loose 2 stone and 2 lbs since O and it has been hard and slow. But I am getting there. I refuse to crash diet it needs to be maintainable so I do ave a treat and a glass of wine regularly. The Nadia Sawahla book is good as well as Hairy Dieters. Good luck. Xx

How you do baked toast? Just bake bread?

You can use Ready Brek gt saves the faff. I alternate that and weatabix.

Kyzordz · 01/06/2013 13:15

Baked toast? Is it not ok just in the toaster? :s

chasing thats daft, I'm sure lots of babies get flat heads that usually correct once baby is sitting more. E used to have a terrible flat head but it looks lots less flat already.

Lunch worked! Bottle at 10:45, lunch at 12, ate his pureed veggies, nommed a little toast and enjoyed some sugar free jelly. No idea if jelly is any good but it was a random one off.

Kyzordz · 01/06/2013 13:17

I use ready brek sometimes, e likes it :)

ChasingDaisy · 01/06/2013 13:17

Yep Sophia, just make bread soldiers and pop them in the oven at 160 for 20 mins. Keeps for 5 days in an airtight container.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/06/2013 13:25

Why, after 6 months of bf, have I now got half an engorged, blocked duct boob? The top half looks like I've had a boob job, the bottom looks like a deflated balloon Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 01/06/2013 13:27

Just heard a funny noise. It is F sucking her toes Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/06/2013 13:30

Not you balloon boob deflating bp Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/06/2013 13:32

*your

BigPigLittlePig · 01/06/2013 13:40

Nope, nowt left there sophia!

Kyzordz · 01/06/2013 14:03

LOL!!

He is still asleep. Odd . This is usually a half an hour nap.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/06/2013 15:35

The sun has come out, and no rain predicted for the week. Yay. Planning a picnic for tomorrow.

This week will be spent planning the trip to the UK. I have already started making lists, much to DH's amusement. Only thing is I have lost the baby monitor. We haven't used it here as the walls are so thin it is totally unecessary, but my mum's house is very old with thick walls, so need to find it.

ValiumQueen · 01/06/2013 15:43

We all went to the park this morning. A big one quite a long walk away. J went in the swing for the first time and liked it.

With the weight gain, a lot of it is not putting the effort in to make healthy food. Just grabbing a sandwich or chocolate bar on the run. I know how to eat properly. I feed the kids well, with occasional treats. I need to feed myself like a toddler, and be as busy. We have the hairy bikers book. Not seen the Nadia one.

DH has fallen asleep on the sofa holding a copy of Slimming World

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/06/2013 16:23

Brilliant valiumking that might be worth a piccy!

MissMummy1 · 01/06/2013 17:37

Snap a photo now vq !!

I swear my neighbours are on the verge of phoning ss today. M has done nothing but whinge and cry and scream all sodding day. Bathtime post mango nomming was particularly screachy. Confused

MissMummy1 · 01/06/2013 17:38

There better be some teeth soon...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/06/2013 18:01

O has just screamed the house down like I never feed him while we tried to face time with DH. Sad because I miss DH.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/06/2013 18:44

I made a smoothie for myself tonight, with pear, banana and oatly. F grabbed my mug, so I gave her a slurp. Loved it. Had a wee tantrum when I took it away. She's had a lot more food today, I need to have a puree day as the freezer is getting a bit bare.

MM fingers crossed for impending teeth.
Sophia perhaps O was putting a particularly good performance to encourage daddy home? "Mummys starving me, heeeelp"?
VQ bet that's an improvement on Vegans R Us?
PR glad the sunshine has arrived on the other side of the channel.

Boob is better. A bit of contortionism (?sp) and a good feed later and it's deflated balloons all round Grin

ChasingDaisy · 01/06/2013 18:56

Oscar ate my homemade puree! Grin

P has said he will move back to my hometown as I am homesick. Am feeling very confused. I really want to move back home, but with or without him is the question. Doesn't help that we are going through a 'good' spell at the moment. He was talking about baby number 2 today Hmm

You deserve that nice weather PR, enjoy it!

ValiumQueen · 01/06/2013 19:08

Chasing do NOT get pregnant to this man again. That would mean you are much more vulnerable and dependent, and make leaving much harder. Please x

I just trod on my 3yo. Not full weight thank goodness, but holding J and she just threw herself in front on me. I had asked her to move out of the way. She is ok. I am shaky.

Yes BP. Thankfully vegan days are gone. We may well go dairy free.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/06/2013 19:23

Toddlers are surprisingly squashy vq , glad she is ok though

chasing please don't. You know what he is capable of. It's easy to be grateful for the good opents but you know it won't last.

MissMummy1 · 01/06/2013 19:44

Chasing it is a tough one. Like you, I cling onto the good moments because when things are good, things are really good. You need to draw a line, and when he crosses it (which IMO he has) you know no amount of good will correct that moment of bad. My DP has come very close to my line a few times, but not yet has he actually crossed it. I pretty much know deep down he will at some point, but for now I am deluding myself he isn't that bad....

Sorry that's very rambley but I hope you get my gist. Decide where the line is (for me, it is violence or cheating but that is a massive hang up of mine ) and have a plan in place for if (when) he crosses it.

YellowWellies · 01/06/2013 19:46

Violence and cheating is a very low standard to set my love. You and Chasing are both worth so much more xxx
