Here is where I'm off to today, if N will wake up!

Evil

TheDetective · 31/05/2013 10:10

Chasing Isn't it so insulting though when they won't take our puree, but will take packet stuff! The little gits! Grin But yay for O!

I don't think I am going to get the purees done today. DP is still in bed, O is wanting playing with, and we have to go out. DS1 is also in bed. I think there is going to be a mass household wake up soon! I've hoovered and the bastards didn't even move. Hmm

Clarella As awful as it sounds, it also sounds rather comical. Poor guy though, do send him a letter. Accidents happen, and all that matters is you and G are okay! Hope you aren't feeling too stiff. Oh, also I have ordered something called a Toddle Pod. It's a cushion type thing for them to sleep on. If it works I will let you know. O is currently sleeping in a moses basket on a vshape pillow which isn't what I want. Brockle mentioned them to me, and I thought they looked just what I need! It won't come for a week or two though :(

Stunt Not unreasonable at all. Let me know if it works.

TheDetective · 31/05/2013 10:12

Ooooh, I hear noise. I think it is DP Shock.

Wonder who will come downstairs first!

TheDetective · 31/05/2013 10:12

May have just put the music on extra loud Grin

TheDetective · 31/05/2013 10:14

No, it's DS. Of course it wouldn't be DP!! Pfffft!

YellowWellies · 31/05/2013 10:15

Evil that looks gorgeous!

FatimaLovesBread · 31/05/2013 10:57

Yay to the sleeping through babies. No chance this end. M fed at 10:30, 1:30, 5am and then up at 7am. Yawn! How do I get her to wake less?

Go send O to jump on the bed det

M had toast and yogurt mixed with raspberry purée for breakfast. Was funny seeing her facial expressions with the sour yogurt Grin any ideas what fruit I can mix to make the natural yogurt less tart?

M also had a mushroom in her nappy Grin

Plan for the day is washing, weighing and walk in the sun! Haven't had M weighed for 7 weeks, wonder how big she'll be.

mm your DP is being a twat. At the risk of sounding a tad 'relationship boards' is that not being a tad controlling? You having to be awake because he is and taking your car when you need it? I agree with above, piss in his shoes Grin or M could 'accidentally' have a poonami in them

PetiteRaleuse · 31/05/2013 10:58

:o I haven't served up brain myself. But French women of my MIL's generation swear by it as good baby food. I haven't asked if DD1 was fed it during my absence in October. You can buy it in butchers' shops here though; packed full of nutrition I believe. I'm not grossed out by offal, but dn't know how to cook or prepare most of it.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 31/05/2013 11:06

Evil Envylooks lovely we are going here

With our picnic. I have an annual pass am trying to make most off before we leave.

Kyzordz · 31/05/2013 11:23

I did it! I let him eat toast and I didn't interfere! Sorry, have yet to read posts but just had to share Blush he only gagged once

PetiteRaleuse · 31/05/2013 11:47

Envy it's still raining here. We've had one decent day a week for ages. You lot are getting the good weather. Which will no doubt fuck off as soon as I get there. Angry

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2013 12:16

Hallo hallo.

Hi-5 to toast nomming E! Good job kyz

I am glad that as far as crashes go clarella yours was a 'nice' one.

Honestly mm I don't know how you don't castrate the fucker sometimes.

I used to be a big fan of kidney and liver as a kid. I also sucked the marrow out of chicken bones. It is only in adulthood that I get all pissy about offal. I am with YW on brain though. Having been brought up on a farm and witnessed BSE first hand I can't see me ever posting "P ate her brains on toast!"

P had her "falling off the bed" first today. She was fine. DH not so. Lesson learned.

What can I use as a binding agent rather than egg? I fancy making P some little fish cakes, rice balls and the like but can't think how to stick them together without egg. Hmm.

I am at the park. I have drunk my late and p is snoozing. Brill.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 31/05/2013 12:16

Hello. Struggling to keep up these days. Can't remember much except welcome to the broken fanjo club horsey. Sounds like it's a neurotrac machine you have been given. I had one but my prolapse is too far down and actually gets in the way of me using the machine so I've to have surgery and then try it again. I have another appt with the surgeon to go back on waiting lost at end of august.

Weaning is still a no goer here and J is 30weeks ow. I called HV and they rang me today to tell me to insist Gp hurry up the paeds referral. She is also going to refer to dietician. She said someone will come and see me regarding his sleep. So progress of sorts I guess.

I'm permanently knackered as his sleep is so crap. Today feels like it's going to be a long one!

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2013 12:20

Oh and I meant to ask yw how do you give olives?

Weirdly, choking is not something I get anxious about. A couple of weeks ago P was nomming something and choked a bit. DH was all "what's the matter? Is she ok??" And I replied "ach, she's alright. She's just choking" DH responded " Hmm oh right. 'Just choking' "

Obviously I would freak if it was a full on gasping choke.

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2013 12:27

Cross post izzy
I am glad that there is progress of sorts but it must feel interminable. It must be getting near on impossible to think straight. I really, really hope that you get some answers.

On another note, what is it about parks where all the other mums a thinner and more stylish. Fuck them with their belts and accesories.

PurplePidjin · 31/05/2013 12:27

My dad remembers being served brains as a child, particularly the crunch of bits of skull on his teeth like shell in scrambled egg Envy

ChasingDaisy · 31/05/2013 12:36

evil that looks lovely, have a fab day Smile

pass I am also weirdly relaxed about choking. Not sure why, but it isn't something that plays on my mind much.

O went to see his friend next door today and they were wearing exactly the same outfit Grin. They obviously both have exquisite taste. I have told P that me and O aren't going to his family birthday meal tomorrow. He understands my reasons. Will take O to the park together in the morning instead.

LuisGarcia · 31/05/2013 14:17

Pass Boiled then grated potato works well as a binding agent in fishcakes and the like

ChasingDaisy · 31/05/2013 14:31

Does anyone else wonder if luis was a chef in another life?

Another success at lunch, if a little green, smushed avocado and broccoli and green beans as finger foods.

Going to try porridge tomorrow. I have the C&G stuff which says to make up with water. D'ya reckon I can use his formula milk to get more calories/nutrients into him? Am going to be adding a fruit puree too.

fruitpastilles · 31/05/2013 14:56

Haven't had chance to catch up yet, just back from taking S to the walk in clinic, she had come out in a rash all over her arms that was spreading as I was looking at it, I was so scared, they were fantastic at the walk in centre, it was packed but they saw S straight away. The doctor thinks it is an eczema rash, gave me some oilatum and some piriton just in case. She also said it could be the beginnings of a throat infection and to keep an eye on her.

Kyzordz · 31/05/2013 15:25

right he is napping again now so I can read and reply instead of just posting about toast success Blush

well done to o chasing thats brill :) breakfast and lunch.! sounds like the other o did great too this morning with his breakfast det

what about really ripe peach fatima or banana?

I never thought to do rice balls pass good idea! might have to look into that

does j not eat at all izzy or is he just very selective still and not having much?

that must've been scary fruit hope lo Is alright and it is just eczema

e had sweet potato and broccoli and cauliflower for lunch followed by a yoghurt then some carrot and broccoli sticks. I think I might need to up cubes as he ate the lot then drank 7 1/2 oz. well he ate the puree and nommed the other stuff as best as he could!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 31/05/2013 16:38

kyz he doesn't eat at all. Has had maybe two teaspoons worth of food since we started weaning about five weeks ago.

GP just called me back and said the referral to paeds was received but they have a ten week wait for routine apps! I told her it was HV who said to get sooner and that HV had told me to kick up a fuss if necessary. She has left a note to GP explaining why we need it sooner and is hoping GP will call the paeds and explain this. She's going to call me back on mon. Ten weeks is ridiculous!!

PurplePidjin · 31/05/2013 16:55

Tonight we're giving R junk food for the first time Blush

Following the maxim that they should have what we're having, and we're having fish and chips, R will be having debreadcrumbed fish finger smushed up with peas plus oven chips to chomp :o

Pass the entire world is thinner and more glamorous than me

Fruit Shock how terrifying!

Izzy 10 weeks is outrageous Angry

MissMummy1 · 31/05/2013 17:00

Pass I thought I was doing okay today. Black work dress, make up, etc. Until someone pointed out I had apple puree in my hair and a ladder in my tights...

He is a fucker. Especially when he has not slept. I might accidentally forget to pick him up tonight. He has probably not even clocked I have picked the car up...

PetiteRaleuse · 31/05/2013 17:08

mm1 I have just read your account of your twatty p's behaviour overnight and am Shock Is he able to look himself in the mirror and think to himself that he is not a twat? I used to be with a real cunt and on my braver days I used to ask him what he saw when he looked in the mirror. He genuinely didn.t realise what an absolute cunt he was.

I think it is time for Luis to apologise again on behalf of all men :o because those that need to apologise don't seem to recognise it.
