I feel a little bit bad about starting this thread just now as there have been heartbreaking stories on mumsnet over the past couple of days. Ladies our thoughts are with you.

This antenatal club is particularly special, as after a long difficult nine months for all of us we are now the lucky ones who get to hold our beautiful little babies. There are lots of challenges ahead for us, of course. but hopefully we can all continue to offer support , advice and friendship during the more happy times

firststar- Iam near a motorway- jct 21 of the M1/Leicester, right at the end of the M69. Can't remember where you are though! Was looking at the pg after mc thread a few days ago. Glad to see oinker is back.

Snowboo- glad to see you're OK and back on here!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 20:39

hi firststar...we're all ok here. Dd doing great, sleeping for 10-11 hours per night. Don't askt the secret though, cos I don't know!

If you speak to your doc you can get the OK for driving sooner. I was driving at four weeks. i checked my policy documens and there was nothing in them about abdominal surgery, so I just went on ahead. I think the main thing is that you shouldn't be frightened to do an emergency stop.

You sound really upbeat. Well Done again...just waiting for PinkRanger now!

Hi Another sucess here.

LL (little Levi) was born 16th August 4:21pm 6ld 56oz
Hope i'm now writing pound symbol correctly, I am an Aussie after all . I have written all he gory details in the birth announcement thread. I had my worries right up to the very end with this one!!!!

Anyway after birth and then the threat of surgery on his naval we are all settling in. DS1 is in love with his new brother, can't believe how well his accepted it all

I'll have to do some back peddling and get to know you all.

one question, why are my girllollypops messages withdrawan? or don't we ask?

snowboo · 26/08/2007 11:31

Hi Uki, welcome! So what part of Oz are you from? Hvae family scattered all over the place there and friends seem to keep upping sticks and going!

I'm sooo tired. Austin keeps waking at night again, think its his teeth, poor love is popping them like no ones business!

petunia · 27/08/2007 15:01

firststar- thought there were 1 or 2 from Hinckley/Nuneaton way! My parents live near the Peugeot garage and I used to work near the railway station.
Uki- congratulations on yours and Levi's arrival here (pound sign is lb so LL is 6lbs 56ozs)! Would like to know whereabouts in Oz you're from as well! My Aunt lived in Adelaide and have cousins in Sydney and Darwin.

Hi all

LL had his first weigh in today, he has put on 600g or 1.3LB so doing really well. His naval looks even better too. he even seems to have a routine wakes up same times each day, what a good baby although i'm prepered for a change.

firsty- I haven't chatted to you much, i've missed you. i love the name Ty, i can now see why you also liked my name Teo, although it didn't end up working to well with our surname. So i never heard much about your labour or have i forgotten, how was it? and how are you finding mummyhood??? tell me all!!!

daisy - Hi thanks for the pink alert, we atre going to be getting busier here soon.

still not read much of the thread, so Hi to everyone

Uki · 28/08/2007 13:18

Just realized i may now have pound symbol correct what a nutter i am.

Snow- I used to live in inner city Sydney, but had a tree change last year and now live on a small farm west of Sydney, which is fantastic. today I sat on the verandah b/f and watching the clouds and gum trees swaying, very blissful My dh is half english, and i'm half Austrian so we love UK and Continent, and have many rel's there.

Hello! It's the poster formerly know as twocats here.

Glad to see this thread up and running again - hello daisy, firststar and uki! Very glad you made it over.

This will be a very short post, as I'm in the middle of a house move, but glad you're all well. Edie is now 9 months old and a little sweetheart. Even better, she has decided not to crawl until we get to the new, much more child-friendly house!

Right, better go and make some tea for the removers - will be back next week, if I survive...

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 16:31

wow....nine months old already twocats . good luck with the house move and we'll talk to you soon!

Hi All

Almost forgot about this thread as I seem to be on so many now.

It's funny how quick it all goe really. Seems like only yesterday i was TTC.

The pg after m/c thread is just soo busy now. Do you still all remember that worry??? look at us now all content mummies busily attending to LO's....

LL is doing great, he is a good bubba, feeding and sleeping loads, but always settles easily. i can't believe he will soombe one month old

What milestones are other babies up to???

Firstar- what are you up to? getting out and about?

petunia · 09/09/2007 19:26

Uki- yep, I remember all that worry! I occasionally have a look to see how people are doing on that thread. It doesn't seem like 2 years ago that I found out I was pg with Emily! Sometimes I look at newborn babies and think how it would be nice to have another one, but no, don't think I could go through a pg like the one I had with Emily. It was just so full of worry right until the end! Plus I think with 3 girls, I've had my lot!
Emily's 17months old now and walking well. I'm to say that she doesn't go through the night, but the other 2 didn't 'til they were 2 or 3 either, so I'm used to it! I'm also still b/feeding her. Again DD2 didn't stop that until she was 2yrs 4 months, so guess Emily will be the same. If she's happy, I'm not bothered about it!

Hi All

Hi Petunia- wow 17 months, not a LO anymore, she sounds great though, her sisters must adore her. good on you for b/f that long. I find it great but so tiring, I'm also desperate for a drink or two so might not get that far but at least another 8 months!

Firstar - oh i forgot about the not driving, that must have been a bit annoying. Sleeping though fab i think if he has already done it once so early, you will get there soon.
i'm hoping LL will be better at it than ds, all he wanted to do at night was feed till 9 months.

anyway i better go, need to make some bread (my new thing) while dc's are napping.

Hi everyone!

I haven't been on Mumsnet since the beginning of the year when I was posting on the Pregnancy after M/C thread, but I am glad that I have now found this thread.

I am pleased to say that all went well and I gave birth to my daughter, Abigail Julie Rose on 26th April (4.5 weeks early, but so was her sister so I half expected that!)weighing 5lbs 10oz. She is now almost 5 months, just over 12lbs and developing a great personality. She has even been sleeping 12 hours at night, but I don't know how we managed that one

It is great to see that you all had success stories and I hope that things continue to go well for you all. xx

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 12:01

i keep forgetting about this thread...hi everyone.

Munchkin, I remember you from the pg after MC thread from last year. I was daisybump when I first started posting.

My DD is now 16 weeks old, she was born on 5 June. she sleeps most nights from 8 till 6 thankfully, although the last few nights she has been up about 4 or 5 and then again at her usual time.

She has alos taken to being really really alert at bedtime and full of laughs and giggles....lovely, but not when I'm trying to get some time to myself of an evening!

hopefully there should be a few more on here soon since fettle and mumpbump have had their babies.....more boys.... and rubles and ejt soon to delvier!!

petunia · 23/09/2007 15:04

Uki- yes, DDs1 &2 are all over her. DD2 has just started school and gives Emily a great big hug when she comes out of school each afternoon!
I think one of the first things I've done each time I've given birth (after 9+ months of not having a drink!) is to get a glass or 2 of wine into me (only occasionally though!)

Munchkin- welcome to the thread.

Looks like we'll have some more joining us soon!

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/09/2007 10:32

petunia...I've got an Emily as well . Lovely name!!

petunia · 25/09/2007 10:29

Good choice, Daisy!

fettleandbabyfettle · 26/09/2007 08:36

Hello

Thought I'd pop in and say hello - now officially being a success after 2 mcs - still can't believe that I have actually done it!!!

Baby Toby was born last Wednesday and we are very much in love. I don't remember bonding with DD quite so quickly as I was so shocked at being a mother, but this time, I didn't really give myself a chance to bond with Toby while I was pregnant as I was too scared, but we're making up for it now - don't want to waste these precious first few weeks, when he is really a baby baby!!!

So happy - might be because we actually had some sleep last night!! 9-12am, 1-3.30am and then 4.30-6.30 (when DH gets up!). Makes up for the rest of the nights, which feels likes it's been every hour on the hour!!!

Petunia, I wouldn't worry about sleep patterns, our DD never slept very well and it wasn't until 2 that we ever really got a full night without her waking and even now at nearly 3.5, she still wakes occasionally. Night before last, it was just to say that Toby was too noisy and could he be quieter as she couldn't sleep!!

Anyway, catch up more soon.
xxx
