chasing hats off to you - I don't know how you put up with in laws like that Thanks

Glad the cat is ok bplp typical cat to bite the hand that saved it feeds it Grin

Congrats on the the good weight loss. Is Slimming World easy to follow? Has any one tried weight watchers. I have no will power - this is likely to be a major stumbling block, no?!

I have a view of fields and houses from my house. 'tis quite pretty but not spectacular. I used to have a view of the Cathedral when I lived in the city, I much prefer the current view. When I go back to stay with my Dad in the house we grew up in I still can't get used to the fact that the cows in the field behind the house are now brown and white. When I lived there they were black and white - they still look odd and it's been years and years!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 21:04

wanna I prefer life here to anywhere else I have lived but that is more due to the fact that I have been happy with DH here, had the children here etc. But I really miss the sea. We're four hours from the sea and I grew up with a view of the sea and it's really hard being away from it. Sometimes I can smell it on the wind and feel :( when I realise how far it is away.

MsJupiterJones · 26/04/2013 21:05

Thanks BP, that's reassuring. I was a bit shocked to see it but I think you're right. Have administered Calpol and DH is dispensing cuddle and milk as we speak.

Pikz · 26/04/2013 21:06

I just see lots of horses and deer and grass from my house!

Just had amazing noodles in laksa with blackened chicken with sesame and honey. All done in 20 mins and calorie controlled. We are working our way through Jamie's 15 min meals to get us back cooking every night. It's working a treat.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/04/2013 21:08

Have just had to administer kitty-morphine to cat via a syringe. Shame cats don't have cheeks to squirt it into like babies. Also glad that babies who need thrice daily meds don't have claws, as I would have no skin left if this were the case.

Off to bed shortly, in anticipation of a shit night ahead.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 21:08

Cats are officially ungrateful fuckers. And mine are crap at catching spiders so doubly crap.

How is J today vq ?

Catbag · 26/04/2013 21:08

izzy I am guessing it is William Wallace Grin

Catbag · 26/04/2013 21:12

So getting distracted and not pressing 'post' means that you answer a question half an hour after everyone else already has Blush

Passmethecrisps · 26/04/2013 21:15

Sorry! Dinner got in the way of quiche-meet review. It was awesome fun! It is amazing how the company of others makes doing all the stuff you usually do just a bit more fun. mrs wee was lovely a so nice to put a face to the name and O was a bundle of cute. YW I wish you had been on my train in the morning so you could have flashed the Rudest Ticket Man Ever! I am loving that I can see changes in the babies and how mic they are growing. And YW I am more of a savoury girl. Not having cake would not bother me massively but not having crisps?!?

Right! Next one? I loves a quiche meet!

There was a monument of William Wallace which had Mel Gibson's face on. Didn't go down massively well. It is somewhere else now. Some town in Stirlingshire which didn't mind the pimping and bastardisation of history. Is Stirling really one of your favourite places PR? 'Mazin! I really like living here. I love that I can catch a train into Edinburgh or Glasgow and be there in less than an hour but I can be in proper countryside within minutes. It is a bit rough around the edges but I must admit to quite liking that.

chasing I am very polite Smile! I wish I was more, ya know, ballsy. But I am not. In my head I am a tornado of righteousness - so much that many people believe that this is how I actually am. I do a great line in inner ranting.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 26/04/2013 21:21

I love the sea. We couldnt see it from the house growing up, but it was walking distance. I think I would feel claustrophobic if it wasnt close by so I can sympathise!

fruitpastilles · 26/04/2013 21:30

chasing yes, I thought that's what you did, me to!
wanna my S is a girl Sinead Smile

Jealous of all the meets you lovely scots have, us middlers are yet to arrange one.

ChasingDaisy · 26/04/2013 21:34

Ah that's good fruit I was starting to feel outnumbered and inadequate by all of the teachers and health professionals here!

I got made redundant when I was 3 weeks pregnant! Will probably be looking to find a part time call centre job when my Maternity Allowance stops. Back on the phones for me!

fruitpastilles · 26/04/2013 21:41

Me too chasing I think that's why I haven't said before what I do. I'm not career minded one bit though, and am not going back to work so so fucking glad

MissMummy1 · 26/04/2013 21:57

Wanna where are you? My ILs live just outside of Bangor Smile

wannabedomesticgoddess · 26/04/2013 22:01

Ah I used to work in Bangor. :)

I live near Downpatrick! Down towards the Mournes.

Passmethecrisps · 26/04/2013 22:01

Lol fruit! I may be a teacher but you appear to be consistently whupping my ass at WWF! Don't be dafty ladies - if this Fred proves anything it is that babeez are great levellers.

fruitpastilles · 26/04/2013 22:03

Ha pass I really don't know how, I'm just getting good letters, I play about 5 games a time with my auntie yes I'm that sad and I think in all of the games I've ever played with her must have been hundreds I've won 3!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/04/2013 22:12

Nice to know I was missed :) I missed you guys too. I'm with pass when's the next meet?!

Ah I get it now re the mel Gibson monument...[eejit emotican]

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/04/2013 22:14

jj sorry about L. It's very likely he has a small cut in his gums, or could it have come from you? You are still bf too aren't you so perhaps could have come from cracked nipple or something. When E did it once the dr said even if you can't see a cut there could be one you can't really feel or notice. Just look out for more of it and try not to worry.

ValiumQueen · 26/04/2013 22:16

Nothing glamorous about clearing up bodily fluids for a living.

No offence was meant by mentioning Mel Gibson, honest.

Kyzordz · 26/04/2013 22:19

So much to catch up on. Will keep writing for as long as df takes technically not a df as he woke coughing . I know alot is hours ago but i'm going from where I last read

Glad the cat seems better bplp :)

Your day sounds lovely fruit :)

Hope l is ok jj :)

Busy day here today, I'm so tired! Looks like mum and baby may be home tomorrow, I'll be about to help as much as possible, and want to meet the little miss :)

Night all x

MaMaPo · 26/04/2013 22:22

Is the Mel Gibson monument the awful one that has FREEDOM blazoned across the bottom, but kept getting vandalised and so was kept in a cage? Grin

Jealous of all those of who who are near countryside. Outside my window is some greenery, but mostly brickwork. I can hear Big Ben though mostly at night as if to say Why the fuck are you awake at 3am

Oh yes, forgot to say Shock and Angry Chasing at what you have to put up with. I am very forthright - someone would have had their arse handed to them for that kind of behaviour. Poor O!

ValiumQueen · 26/04/2013 22:23

J has had a good day. Will start Ranitadine tomorrow. He even self settled in his cot twice.

Have been reading up more about Nutramigen 2. From 6 months if they are on fucking solids! Why does it not say that on the fucking tin!!! I am not going back to the Dr for more No.1. J will be on solids once he is stable on the ranitadine.

Passmethecrisps · 26/04/2013 22:29

Offence? Lolz. I would have liked mel's monument. I don't give a flying fuck about any of it. Guid story. Shite history.

Passmethecrisps · 26/04/2013 22:31

But is there something romantic about hearing Big Ben in your own actual house rather than in the news?
