Wanna good luck with your interview. I used to be in retail management many years a go. Then moved into finance. I often look back fondly on my retail days. Very much using rose tinted spectacles I think. If I did go back to work (guess ill have to one day) I think id like to go back to retail.

Vq glad j is more settled.

I currently live in a townhouse so the view from the living room one side is nice as it looks out onto playing fields, as does my bedroom window. I live in a Cul de sac and the view from the other side is the street and to the side an office block, not so nice.

Hi everyone
Dd is 29 weeks on Sunday and only just on 2 meals a day...as she was born early I've took things really slow with her.
She is still sleeping next to me and we plan to try her in own room this weekend
I have been slightly better than I was about my paranoia and I'm not waking every hour to check her anymore
Lovely to read everyone's updates
Welcome wannabe . Hope all is better with your P this evening Evil

MaMaPo · 26/04/2013 22:37

pass I do love hearing Big Ben. Just less so in the wee hours.

Moseying in hallway while husband gives df. Little monster sound like she's hoovering it up. I'm off to sleep immediately after she's back in bed, hopefully for another lovely long stretch like last night. I've jinxed it now, haven't I!?

Clarella · 26/04/2013 22:44

ok attempting to catch up.... third is as far as I got till Mel Gibson distracted me!:

oh vq shitty doc but glad you got meds.

Shock yw about cio bil. I think I had reflux by the sounds of it and mum did some cio with my younger sister as a result and now self flaggelates a lot about it as my sister has had depression. I try pointing out every female member of our family is both creative and depressive and all on prozac except me but she continues the mum guilt

evil that is worrying are you ok?

my parents live in stirling so I know the Mel monument well! sadly / thankfully they're moving to York in the next month no more cheap Scottish hols but nearer to newcastle which is nice

their house backs onto the golf course and mum has a million friends through all the dog owners. we got a baby present from the dog walkers actually, v sweet. I'll miss the new years stuff up there!

ok regression has ramped up a gear. 4 wake ups since 7:15. blaming sitting up and new mumhmmum/raspberry sound. moro reflex back too so cosleeping as appears to just allow twitching but not actual wake up. but did take a bottle well tonight!!

turns out lo did have a real uti - rang hospital. really lovely nurse?Dr? was reassuring and I now suspect I know why - lo might have v tight fore skin which both his paternal uncles had to have removed but dhs stretched. tmi sorry! she said can be a factor/ reason for uti in boys. so has to be on antibiotics. though I think his system Is adjusting now as poos seem good again and if no kidney reflux at scan then can come off. she encouraged exclusive bf till 6mo if poss though so persevering.

sorry your nights are rubbish stunt hope better soon.

thanks for reflux foods tips yw too!

Clarella · 26/04/2013 22:48

as an English person you enter the Wallace monument all keen to see some history and come out slightly bashed. and that sword of his must be a fake. I'm sure he wasn't that tall. everyone was a midget in those days.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 22:58

Isn't the Wallace Monument a tower? Not a statue of Mel or anyone?

Yes Pass I love Stirling. I remember sitting on a wall by the castle and sneezing, I was about 16, and a woman who was walking by said 'God bless you dear' with the most beautiful Scottish lilt and it made my day.

ValiumQueen · 26/04/2013 23:15

Pic on FB of Wallace Monument. There was a small freedom Mel Gibson-esque statue beneath it. Not sure if it is still there though.

TheDetective · 26/04/2013 23:16

Boo!

Fucking hell chasing do I have to come back and whoop some IL ass in to touch?! Twunts. Utter fucking twunts. Angry

VQ and pass I'm sat here chunnering away at your trench coats. Grin

View from my house? Erm. Cars. And road. And some houses. Baaaah!

I got my sick note today - for the next month. And an email from work, saying to expect a call from the HR health and wellbeing team on monday! I'm wetting myself with the excitement! And hoping they don't ring at 9am, but ring when O is screaming the house down at 4pm instead.

Weaning going well still. O is chuffed with food. And as a result takes his milk like a fucking pro. What a difference in the boy. :)

ValiumQueen · 26/04/2013 23:18

My DH had a tight foreskin and had to have it removed at a young age. I have no idea if J has inherited this or not. We are not meant to retract it at all at this young age so unsure how to tell. It looks a very snug fit though.

TheDetective · 26/04/2013 23:22

I've been studying the slimming world stuff all day. I don't do things by half. Once I set my mind to it, I go the whole hog.

So me and DP went shopping, and even made it to the local veg shop. Got £20 worth of fruit and veg, which equated to 3 bulging carrier bags Shock.

We've worked out our treats, and our meals, and how we are going to stick to it. Should work. Gonna miss some stuff. But I can always lick it, right?!

So far so good. Feeling proud . Never done this type of thing before. First meal went a bit wrong bloody men but we ate it, and it was free food, so it doesn't matter that it tasted, erm. Interesting?!

Since DP finishes work for 3 months tomorrow, this is the perfect time to do this. We are both at home, no excuses for unhealthy eating, or comfort foods just because that is all there is.

No shift work stopping us. If we don't do it now, we never will!

TheDetective · 26/04/2013 23:24

VQ The last time DS1 let me anywhere near his was around 6. It didn't retract then. He has told his dad it still doesn't.

As far as I know they give it to the teenage years unless problems before. He hasn't had any problems. I think they can use creams before going for the snippity snip.

I've not noticed on O yet forgot to look to be honest!.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/04/2013 23:25

Good luck with SW detective I think its fab so far!

Right I'm off to bed. Have a busy day of holiday shopping then a full body massage in the afternoon after which DH has says I deserve a nap. Cannot bloody wait!!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 23:34

Plans for the weekend. Off to the post office woo hoo, then meeting up with some friends from Paris who have come to Lux for the weekend (a stupidly rainy weekend at that, ha, should have done a mid week break) then steak and chips tomorrow night.

DH got in at 11 as his car broke down in work car park and he had to call the garage and get a replacement. Stupid. I should have gone to get him and the car could have waited til Monday morning and sorting it out would have been on work time, not our time (tis a company car). Anyway...

Sunday our local farm is having its open day so we will go look at animals til DD1 drops. Last time we were lucky enough to watch a calf being born but DD1 was too young to understand; could we be lucky twice in a row?

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 23:58

No spiders in my nighty tonight. Woo.

The post office is to post my ebay sales. Ha. Giveaways. Stingy bidders. From now on will just give to charity.

PurplePidjin · 27/04/2013 01:05

Fucking sleep's gone to pot. Down at 7:45 awake 9:30 and 00:50. Wtf?! Maybe because it's on the chilly side where the heating's fucked?! Not cold though, just not as warm as usual

MaMaPo · 27/04/2013 03:15

Pidj, we have the opposite problem here. I'm boiling! C is in a hybrid swaddle sleeping bag so I get concerned she'll overheat. Thermometer says 19° though. Warm enough.

Sleeping 10.30-3 is a pretty good stretch. But after last night feels like a failure. Oh babies, keeping us on our toes...

PurplePidjin · 27/04/2013 03:16

And again Sad

I'm the only crap one tonight then? Everyone else sleeping through? Sad

StuntNun · 27/04/2013 03:52

Phew first wake up here apart from two instances of squealing because his dummy fell out. Last night was horrendous, I ended up going for a walk at midnight to get away from the screaming. Hmm When I got back, DH has managed to get J back to sleep. I'm assuming it's teeth-related as he has been dribbling an awful lot lately. A lovely long lie in would be nice J. How about till 9 a.m. please?!

Whereabouts in NI will you be Pennie? I'm near Antrim and Wanna is south of Belfast iirc. There were tentative thoughts of a NI meet but later in the year when Sophia and MM are both over. Are there any other Irish quichettes?

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 27/04/2013 04:40

And another at 4:25. Transferring now Sad

PurplePidjin · 27/04/2013 04:45

Fail

wannabedomesticgoddess · 27/04/2013 05:19

Lost track of her feeds tonight. DP was up but I was so exhausted its just a vague memory. I gave her 2ozs at 4.45. Now I cant sleep.

Been googling about this interview day. I am going to have to smile and talk to people. So out of practice.

Bryzoan · 27/04/2013 05:20

Poor pidj :-(. And poor stunt last night. Sounds horrendous.

Forgot to say earlier well done at the docs vq. V frustrating that you are being made to feel so bad for trying to feed your baby. Hope you are able to sort a bit more of the stage 1.

And well done all you dieters hides concern that I'll be left high and dry as the Fred chubster.

Dixiebell · 27/04/2013 06:21

Miracle night here (relatively). Bed at 7.30, not up till 1.30, then 6. I could handle that every night, compared to 3/4 wake ups. Ds1 is currently singing loudly in his room. His groclock usually changes to sunshine at 6.15 but I changed it to 7am for the weekend. He won't shout for us until the sun comes onto it, but it kind of defeats the object if he sings at top of his voice!

My views : a lovely tree full of blossom out the front at mo, and behind, the neighbours' kids heads popping up over the fence as the situated their trampoline at the end of their garden Hmm. We have planted lots of bamboo to try and mask them!

Lily311 · 27/04/2013 06:25

I'm here. Removal truck came yest so now sleeping in an empty house. Weird feeling. Sad. Not excited yet. In a week time I will be in Hungary.

chasing well done you getting O back, what a weird SIl.

detective jealous of slimming world. I plan to go to the gym once in Hungary, I used to go 5 times a week. My mum can babysit, yey.

I forgot what I wanted to write. No weekend plans, will try to see some friends.
