Happy birthday fruit and VQ. Wow kyz sounds like you are doing an amazing job.

Thanks for the kind words/sleepy dust. Bit better night last night. All a bit hazy, but there was definitely a bit more sleeping-in-own-cot involved.

Gave H Hovis digestive biscuit for the first time today (random!) but he seemed to quite like it.

thedetective I love each peach pear plum. Random question, but are you left handed? My dd writes backwards quite a lot if not corrected (she is 6) but her teachers tell me its because she's left handed. I'm not convinced cos me and ds1 are both left handed too and don't do that!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 28/04/2013 16:27

I adore Each Peach. Tried to make it my nickname when I joined but it had been taken!

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 16:28

I am left handed Daisy!

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 16:29

I'm not sure who is enjoying weaning more. O or the dog? Hmm

He loves being in his highchair above all else at the minute...!

MissMummy1 · 28/04/2013 16:57

There is a strong correlation between left handedness and writing backwards (particulary numbers) amongst the kids I teach/have taught.

DP and I have been using the car for work the past few days. It is well and trully his turn to fill it up. Angry We are currently playing car roullette. When I pulled up outside work the computer said it has a range of 3 miles left in the tank. I am 15 miles from home. I'm not getting back, am I? Obviously we would not be playing this childish game of stubborness if we had M in the car.

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 16:58

I've done an extra 12 on 0 MM.... Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 28/04/2013 17:01

Oops. Am preparing the filling for a chicken and leek pie and have massively overdone the mustard. Oh well.

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 17:10

I just fed O. But first I put him in his swaddle. He fell asleep (was due a nap anyway) without all the rocking and bloody jiggling. Excellent. Will try that next time...!

Kyzordz · 28/04/2013 17:21

Oh pr can I have some? Sounds delicious! And I love mustard so the extra is gooood!

Reading all your weaning stories is making me look forward to it :)

Glad your night was a little better daisy :)

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 17:53

Is anyone else refreshing over and over?! Grin

Where is everyone today?! Not having lives I hope Wink.

Passmethecrisps · 28/04/2013 18:02

Hello. DH is out with P. I AM ALONE!

Passmethecrisps · 28/04/2013 18:02

Oh. I let P lick my pear earlier. It made her smile.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 28/04/2013 18:03

S seems to sleep a lot.

Today for example, awake at 7.30 until around 10.

30 min nap.

Awake again until 12. Then slept until 3.30. Awake again until 5. Asleep now and probably wont wake until 8. Will get a feed and go back down at 9.

Is this normal? What are everyone elses daytime naps looking like?

wannabedomesticgoddess · 28/04/2013 18:05

Oh hello btw! Sorry, I let my thoughts get away with me sometimes. :)

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 18:19

Just got banana puke on my face. Hmm

wanna O was up at 7.15 slept 9.30-11.30, slept 1-3, 4.45-6. Woke him at 6 as bed is 7.30 so didn't want him sleeping any later.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 28/04/2013 18:23

Similar then! :)

Banana puke sounds, erm... lovely :o really looking forward to starting weaning. S has properly mastered getting her teething toys into her mouth, it was a bit hit and miss until yesterday. So wont be long now.

To those who were saying their LOs wriggle around while feeding, S is ff but she does this too, mostly when shes tired and wants to lie flat.

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 18:28

I stink Hmm.

Pass I love that bit of alone time!

DP and I are now off together. Potentially for 3 months.

We have planned to lose weight, spend weekends doing family things, and giving each other time off to do whatever we like for a few hours each week.

I think this week I will check funds and see if I can go for a massage!

BigPigLittlePig · 28/04/2013 18:33

Wanna F has 2 naps in the morning, between 30-60 minutes, and a longer one in the afternoon - 2-3 hours. She would probably like a catnap at teatime too, but doesn't get it. That said, she's currently dozing on me - and will wake for 7.30 and a feed, then bed.

We had projectile vom down my cleavage today. Gross. Although I had just been lifting her in the air above my head so it could have been so much worse.

Tried her with some banana today, cue epic gagging session, dh nearly had a heart attack. Think we might leave it for a few days and try again!

Detective I'm hoping that when I get the dosing right for F, she will have as dramatic a transformation as O did. Even with the increase from last night, she has been starting to chatter and coo again, so fingers crossed.

BigPigLittlePig · 28/04/2013 18:35

Detective when F is spending a few hours with the childminder, before I go back to work, I WILL be getting a massage provided no more vets bills. My back is fucked due to lazy feeding, and rocking a 1 stone baby to sleep.

MissMummy1 · 28/04/2013 18:37

I made it. Grin Just. It was a bit shuddery as I pulled into the village. There is no way he will make it to work without stopping at the petrol station. Twat. I have been filling the car (both cars if you include the hire car before it went back) for over a month now. and the fridge, cupboards, gas and leccy bills Twat. So much for him paying the majority share Angry Angry Angry

Sorry for ranting.

M and I are off to Aberdeen tomorrow to meet up with some old uni chums. I am sooo excited!!! Grin Grin Grin

MissMummy1 · 28/04/2013 18:38

Wanna Matilda doesn't sleep. Ever. (although she is doing 4 hour stints at night now so musn't complain!)

MissMummy1 · 28/04/2013 18:40

You have just reminded me my dad gave me a spa voucher for my birthday! Had planned to get my nails done a few times but think I will book a massage. My back is full of knots Confused

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 18:43

That's how I ended up with banana vom face BP. He loves being lifted up. Wonder why. Hmm

MM so kinda the thing I would do. Mwhahaha! .

I'm not sure O's dose is quite right yet, as he is crying when put down on the floor, but happy to be in highchair, jumperoo etc. He's fine lay down at night still, as always. But not so keen in the day.

Speaking of jumperoos. O likes his. But not for bouncing! He just likes spinning the frog and the other spinning thing! I wonder when he will bounce?! I've bounced it for him but he just looks at me with a pissed off face. Hmm

TheDetective · 28/04/2013 18:44

That will be the blow up bed MM!

BigPigLittlePig · 28/04/2013 18:50

DH is obsessed with the car, he would go apeshit if the fuel went into the red. I am not this way inclined, so it's one of his jobs. Garden + car, very particular about. House? Not so much.

F has fallen asleep VERY soundly in a vest, draped across my leg. My squishy tummy is apparantly a lurvely soft pillow.
