DS has just "got" the open mouth, take spoon, taste food, swallow manoeuvre! Bowl of porridge = demolished! He's now nomming some toast soldiers with some assistance / bossing about from DD while shrieking with delight. We're an end terrace. Our neighbours must hate us. But it's so exciting to think of all his first tastes he was clearly inspired by the steak, cider and cake smells from this house last night.

Kyzordz · 27/04/2013 07:30

Morning all, pidj sounds like an awful night!

Our night wasn't too bad minus the coughing. But he has been up since 6:45 and is on set 3 of pj's. Say no more!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 27/04/2013 07:31

lily next chapter and all that. Sad comes with the territory of moving from one to the next I think.

dixie love blossom.

detective I could do with that level of inspiration / commitment re SW.

My views as a child were of the sea. Grew up in a south Devon seaside town famous as the setting for 2 programmes about disfunctional hotels Grin Now we live in a city close by - our views are other terraced houses and gardens, but you can see the 12th century cathedral from nearly everywhere in the city as its on a hill. Plus around the corner is the original medieval bridge over the river that you can still walk over. So am compensated for uninspiring house views which I nevertheless love due to inherent nosiness by amazing views just down the road!

Kyzordz · 27/04/2013 07:45

Sorry, that reads insensitively :( Brew pidj

Pikz · 27/04/2013 07:50

I'd like a rain coat too! I think mine would be lined with wine though...:D

Sorry for shit night stunt and PP, I hope you get lie ins.

LO up at 5am :( this is because he knew I had a babysitter in my mum tonight so I could take DP to the cinema to cheer him up because my fucking ridiculous mil is gambling away all his money :(

I will fall asleep in the film won't I.

PurplePidjin · 27/04/2013 07:50

Not really, Kyz, I now have a smily baby naked on the change mat he better with a Nobel bloody Prize for Development today so it's swings and roundabouts really :)

wannabedomesticgoddess · 27/04/2013 08:24

We have been awoken to the sound of high pitched singing/wailing from S. She is happy. It just sounds like a cat is being killed. Shes trying to be Mariah Carey :o

Hopeful for some sitting up today now that she has mastered the back to front roll.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2013 08:33

Pikz there sounds likely to one hell of a backstory to that comment.

Shite night here. Wnt to bed too late coz of DH's car issues. Am pissed off as one of my ebay buyers hasn't paid and that means I can't send everything at once. I don't know if it's the same over there but people don't want to pay for anything anymore. My box set of the wire went for a third of the cheapest new price I can find (and paid for it)

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2013 10:10

Big disadvantage of living far away from family is that you use up a lot of holiday time visiting family. I would love to visit so much of the UK and Ireland but when I go to the UK I have (and want) to visit family. I have never been to the south west though, and have so many places that I want to see again. I really regret not travelling more when I was in my 20s , but my exes were arses and put a stop to most decent plans.

Passmethecrisps · 27/04/2013 10:14

Morning.

Sorry to hear about poor nights. stunt yours particularly sounds horrendous.

Oh blimey. I was all set for posting then P woke from her nap. Now I have no idea what I was going to say.

Lovely day here in central jockland. Think a wander into town is on the cards.

P's new favourite thing is having her fingers nommed by me.

Pikz · 27/04/2013 10:24

I'm auditioning for worst mummy award today. LO having screaming fits every time I put him in cot even though he's sound asleep before transfer.

I lost my temper with him and had to walk away Hmm No idea what's wrong he just won't be separated from me. Now asleep on me. DP has to calm him and me down.

Think I'm just stressed out. Yep PR a long story that I won't bore you all with but I'm very fucked off with mil right now.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 27/04/2013 10:37

Morning all, we had a bad night here too, in fact we've had a bad week. B has reverted to feeding like a newborn, 11pm, 2am, 5.30am. She also woke numerous times for her dummy. This will end, right? She's five months next week. In other news, she seems to be completely over yesterday's lip and tongue procedure, not bothered in the slightest Grin.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/04/2013 10:38

pr I was having a discussion with DH about eBay last night. I have a huge back of decent clothes ready to go to charity. In it are 2 coast outfits only worn once and dry cleaned straight after. DH reckons I should eBay them but I know I'll get pittance for them and I'd rather give them away so a charity can benefit.

Taking DD1 to her swimming lessons this afternoon and that's all I pretty much have lined up for this weekend. Very dull!

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/04/2013 10:40

toomany I meant to say in my earlier post that I hope your lo recovers quickly, bless her. Hopefully she will start sleeping better for you soon.

Pikz · 27/04/2013 10:43

Don't think I'm helping self by playing candy crush... Every time it says 'you've failed' I want to shout I know!!

Clarella · 27/04/2013 10:47

no pidj you weren't the only one - we were horrendous last night. didn't even attempt transfers all of the 6 inches into bedside cot! it was possibly every hour at one point but I just snuggled up with him and rolled him on and off the boob.

seriously contemplating hammock tonight just to see if makes any difference. I'm not sure 'habits' need worrying about at mo!

20 weeks on Monday (22 if edd .....)

mate who is round to give quote for our dangerously awful front drive is a member of the my baby didn't sleep till 6mo club....Grin

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 27/04/2013 10:52

Thanks eliza. I've also got some hardly worn clothes, I'm going to send then to a local women's refuge, along with my maternity clothes. Can't be bothered with eBay.

clarella, is it an age thing? We're up all night here and they're a week apart in age.

Clarella · 27/04/2013 10:56

oh god I wish he'd do a regression of every 3 hours. Sad

Clarella · 27/04/2013 10:57

must be toomany and pidj when a newborn he fed 2 hourly in the night

Clarella · 27/04/2013 12:02

actually I'm getting a bit worried now. ddoes the quiche think waking up every hour is possibly a sign of something? he's waking in tears too after squirming. just wondering about this kidney thing again. might get another test again

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2013 12:03

That must be a relief Dicks for the procedure. We're having sleep issues here too :( but mainly my own.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/04/2013 12:05

Could be tummy ache or teething too clarella but worth getting him checked because kidney issues can be recurrent.

TheDetective · 27/04/2013 12:07

Afternoon :)

Good night was had hear. Stunt I think we stole your lie in???!

O woke just before 7, fed, and slept with me til 9! We lazed in bed he played with the dog on the bed! til nearly 10. Then he had some carrots and nommed the lot and made his more more more noises! And almost drained a full bottle straight after.

He's now back asleep, so I've had chance to run around and put the embarrassingly large washing pile away, and make some breakfast. Well, lunch I guess. Confused

I grilled some bacon, a large mushroom, and some tomatoes with salt, pepper and basil. Made the bacon in to a butty with wholemeal toast. All free food. No syns! Yay!

So far so good! Just got to decide where to use my syns today or save them!. I fancy a milky bar. I think I'll save that for tonight after tea! My will power is at its weakest once both children have gone to bed!

Do we still have the diet thread VQ?

TheDetective · 27/04/2013 12:07

Hear?!! Here! Doofus.

TheDetective · 27/04/2013 12:08

I could have 3 milky bars....!
