tits my first thought was low iron. Are you eating ok?

fruit I was thinking about that - think it is a GF tip. He always drinks more at the first night feed so I think it is the second one I need to tackle, in order for him to wake up hungry.

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 15:48

I don't know the answer chasing wish I bloody well did though! O just stopped with nothing else changing except the country?! Pretty drastic change just to drop a feed...! and I'm just going by the theory that they just do it when they are ready?

I offer O his feed 3-4 hourly in the day. Never longer. We just about squeeze 5 feeds in. When he accidently had 4 the other day, he woke at 1.40 for a feed.

PP Am Angry on your behalf. Really am. They are fucking cunts. Keep at the bastards and don't let it go. Was it a phone call? They record all calls....

Stunt I did not know this! Probably should!

My last mat wage was paid today. Takes me to 28th April. I then got 2 days of regular pay. And because of that, the fucking car parking cunts have taken the full months car park out my wage!! (We pay at end of month for previous month) And I won't even get to fucking park there! Angry Ignores fact that pass still worked while I wasn't paying on mat leave!

Am currently running a lush bath and practically drooling at it. I've been sans children since 11.30 and I have cleaned, tidied, ironed and mn'd, so now it is bath time yippeeeeeeeeeee!

Kyzordz · 24/04/2013 15:56

That might be an idea, Set an aim, a realistic one and it often depends on how they behave of like, 5 or 6 am at first, go with the water/put him in with you if needs be. I feed e at 10-10:30 as dream feed and will not feed before 6, but usually we wake and he has it at 7. He can go 12 hours between feeds but he won't feed more than the 4 hourly in the day, and after a few 12 hourly nights in a row he wakes at 3 for a feed, so I do df again now. Will try reducing it/dropping it at some point but not right now as he's still poorly. But yes, try that, and then once you've gotten him to go from say 11/12 to 6/7, then I'd bring his 11/12 earlier if he'll go with it and do it as df.

Does that make sense?

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 15:58

We tried the water in night. Epic disaster as he then woke himself up --more than bloody p

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 16:00

We tried the water in night. Epic disaster as he then woke himself up more than bloody possible! and even once fed wouldn't fucking settle. Indignant sod.

Fatima Start by making a list on the computer. Add things as you think of them or buy them as you think of them in my case! We forgot nothing and were well prepared this way first time ever.

ChasingDaisy · 24/04/2013 16:31

That makes perfect sense kyz. I'm torn between trying the water idea and giving him 3oz instead of 5 at his second feed and reducing by an ounce every three days. I'm leaning towards the second idea but I have thought about this so much now I am tying myself in knots...Sad

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/04/2013 17:05

Glad you and M enjoyed the swimming cacacaz it really is a lovely pool and the changing facilities we found to be really good, right down to the wee playpens by the showers.

Had a day out today with my friend and her 3month old daughter. Her daughter goes down at 9pm sleeps til 3am has feed and is back down within twenty minutes til 7am where she has another feed and sometimes sleeps til 9am!!! I'm so jealous!

Decided to wean J instead of wait til after holiday. My reason being if it's going to help with sleep I'd rather start now and have a better holiday! So he had some breakfast porrigy stuff, or I tried. He wont open his mouth for the spoon!? Any tips?!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/04/2013 17:06

Oh and do we just do breakfast for about a week?

Kyzordz · 24/04/2013 17:57

No idea izzy e is the same most of the time. We're on a break now though, but will interested to see what people recommend.

chasing try one thing, if it doesn't work, try the other :) try the 3oz thing first, if you think he will settle then go for that. I could never reduce e's feeds In the night because if he didn't take enough he would just wake earlier!

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 18:08

Try giving him the spoon first to practice with Izzy? See if he puts it in his mouth when it is empty? Or perhaps try finger food? Some of our babies not mine! are getting on well with finger foods.

MissMummy1 · 24/04/2013 18:24

Been reading but not had time to post!

PP - fuckers. That is all Thanks

Tits I am also achey all over. I wondered about iron levels? I have been scarily anaemic in the past Confused

Forgotten what else to say. Sitting outside work with whingebag. She was awful last time I brought her, tonight could be interesting! Hmm

Bryzoan · 24/04/2013 18:39

Tits - the other thing maybe to ask your Gp to check could be thyroxine? If I remember correctly thyroid problems are quit common postnatally.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/04/2013 19:03

detective I tried a bit of finger food. He had a bit of toast but again no clue what to do and we've just had pasta for tea so I gave him a few bits of penne pasta on his tray...no interest even when I tried to guide it to his mouth!

BigPigLittlePig · 24/04/2013 19:08

Right.

I am reserving my sweary quota some of it for in a few days time.

The cat does not have fucking pancreatitis. The cat has an entirely self-imposed bowel obstruction owing to his penchant for earplugs and bits of plastic. It has cost me a bit fucking small fortune to find this out and have said foreigh objects removed. When he is home and well I will unleash a torrent of swear words. Until then I will alternate between blind panic that my 1st baby is going to die, and pure rage at his stupidity and mine for not sorting pet insurance

Achey people, you know who you are - get thee to a dr and get your bloods checked. Or poas Grin

PP I'm sorry to hear yet more bad news Thanks

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/04/2013 19:28

I'm so excited...I've been picked to test pampers nappies! Yay! I never get picked for anything!

Dixiebell · 24/04/2013 19:29

Been feeding Ted for half an hour, thought I was at the point of putting him down to sleep and he just looks up at me, grins and does one almighty great poo. Is now looking very lively and pleased with himself. Hmph.

Pikz · 24/04/2013 19:36

Having a massive stress.

LO refusing milk and just wanting food. He's gone from 45/46oz to 33oz today. He's done 7 poos and I'm worried Hmm

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 24/04/2013 20:08

How long has he been on solids pikz? As milk consumption is meant to reduce once solids are introduced

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 20:11

That sounds ok with the milk. 7 poos sounds a lot, but how far apart where they all?

It will take his digestive system time to adjust.

O went down like a fucking dream tonight. What's he up to? Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 24/04/2013 20:15

33oz sounds plenty. O has never had that much. How many meals of solids is he on now? Perhaps he is just getting fuller from the food so there is less room for milk?

BigPigLittlePig · 24/04/2013 20:20

You can play wwf on facebook, mwah haha. Chasing are you in??

ChasingDaisy · 24/04/2013 20:24

I'm in! Off to bed soon though.

TheDetective · 24/04/2013 20:28

I'm TheDetectiveStalksYou Grin

PurplePidjin · 24/04/2013 20:29

I play on fb if anyone wants to play :)

Pikz · 24/04/2013 20:31

Izzy he's been on them about 2 and a half weeks now but slowly. The poos were spread out but I suppose I'm just being a stressy first time mum Hmm
