Hello

Sorry to read so many of you and bubs still not well. More chocolate is required Thanks

No happy news to report here either, DH gone away again until Sunday on stag weekend and as seems to be standard protocol I've been back to the Dr'sHmm

Lois started burning up again in the night. Have been given antibiotics as Dr thinks she has a bacterial infection along with the bronchiolitis as lungs are full of mucous. Poor little mite hope the meds help Hmm (thanks for asking meringue)

Anyway DH did well on goodie front and managed to purchase most required items from my list and DD1 is overjoyed with her 'Belle' dress mummy hates the frigging thing drops glitter everywhereConfused

On milestones discussion Lois is not back to front rolling yet and has stopped front to back prob the extra poundage she has packed on the little chunk (illness hasn't effected her appetite). She has started back arching and pushing down with her legs a lot more this week, I keep finding her with her head hanging off the changing/play mat. Has also started to hold things more and shove them in her mouth.

I am also trying a sippy cup when I remember which has been grand total of about 3 times Grin she sucks but just spits the water out.

Lostbobbles · 23/05/2013 14:04

Oh Angie I have been co-sleeping and boob shoving for the end part of the night /early morn lately as well. I get to 3/4am and can't take anymore. DD1 never got such lavish treatment Wink

Angielka · 23/05/2013 14:44

lost so sorry about Lois - poor little thing. Hope she's on the mend quickly.

Glad I'm not the only one with the trying to survive the night tactics Wink although I'm hoping for a breakthrough as Molly is still asleep after three hours, and we haven't had any longer than 45 min naps for what feels like forever days! I heard her about half an hour ago, but one cry and then she got herself back to sleep. Praise the sleep gods! The baby may not be broken anymore! There is hope this will spread to the night and the co-sleeping/boob shoving may come to an end sooner rather than later! I know I really shouldn't assume so much but it is such a relief when there is some sign of hope

Hope you all feel better. I've opened the chocolate sod it to make me feel better about not getting Cadburys in Belgium [sob]. Belgian chocolate's not bad though Wink

CreepyCrawly · 23/05/2013 15:46

Lost I think you deserve all the chocolate! Hope Lois is better soon.

Third jabs today, not even a flinch with the first one! The other two caused big cries though. She's dozing on my lap now with my boob in her mouth and no trousers on.

AppleCrumples · 23/05/2013 16:01

Oh lost poor lois. Hope she is on the mend soon

creepy ivy screamed the place down with her 3rd jabs and carried on for the benefit of the packed waiting room afterwards!

Well dcs are now on half term..wish me luck i might need it!

CreepyCrawly · 23/05/2013 16:27

Good luck apple! I couldn't believe it when the first needle went on, me and the nurse just looked at each other. The others made up for it though. My surgery closes when there's baby clinic (every 4 weeks) which is quite handy.

Meringue33 · 23/05/2013 16:55

Bunty that was pretty much my language to the postie too! Fingers crossed for your birthday, do you have anything nice planned?

Lost hope Lois feels better soon and the meds work. Maybe summer will come along soon and help with all of this!! Hailstones here today.

glorious · 23/05/2013 17:20

Lol at your dream creepy !

Really sorry Lois is still unwell poor mite.

Good luck apples , you'll be grand.

Lostbobbles · 23/05/2013 21:31

Thanks for all well wishes, Really hoping meds make a difference, I have an Indian wedding to attend on Sunday, and the mendhi night is tomorrow but might have to skip that and just send DD1 with Mil. feeding in a sari is going to be interesting

Meringue second that thought on the sunshine so fed up with this weather now.

Apples good luck next week, hope the good behaviour God pays you a visit Wink

Lostbobbles · 23/05/2013 21:33

Creepy hope DD has recovered from the injections trauma Hmm

lollipoppi · 23/05/2013 21:47

Lost hope lois feels better soon and you make the wedding!

DD has a massive lump on her leg from the injections and I think it's really bothering her Hmm

We went for a really long walk today, started off lovely and sunny, but the heavens opened with hail, I looked like a soggy cat when I got back home, dd was snug as a bug in her pram !

Lora1982 · 24/05/2013 00:18

Dexter s leg was huge after the injection too poor souls.

Its supposed to be poo day today but hes done bob all nothing and not even moaning about it. Tomorrow will be day five I wont be using the posh cloth nappies till he surrenders and does his job cos I think itl be a badden.
He'll be 20 wks monday he rolls on his side sometimes and can sit a very short time without help but no proper rolls. Hw also cheats by going round in a circle on his mat by lifting his legs and using the gym poles as leverage to move round Grin

Pascha · 24/05/2013 04:09

Poo day?! D is a twice a day boy at least!

Its 4.10am, I am awake. My boobs are definitely awake. My son is fast asleep Hmm

Its the first time in weeks that he has gone 4+hours between feeds and instead of making up for lost sleep I've been expressing into the sink and fannying about on here. Not fair!

lollipoppi · 24/05/2013 08:38

Poo day ha ha Smile dd is. 2/3 times a day gal !

DD is rolling but she gets her arm stuck underneath her when she gets into her belly!

Pascha that's great he has had a good sleep but pants that you've been awake! Hmm

Pascha · 24/05/2013 08:44

Ah its ok really. I got back to sleep around 5.15 after changing a totally soaked baby (thanks DH for not double-nappying Daniel last night at bedtime).

Got tea and toast in bed as usual and D was following my toast hand with his eyes, every movement between plate and mouth Grin. The highchair is coming out of the loft this weekend, D will have to be propped in it a bit I think but he's really fed up of being on the floor while we eat at table so this will mean he can join in a bit more. No food for now though, just going to let him watch us eat and get more and more wound up Grin

Birdies · 24/05/2013 10:02

bunty another growth spurt at 20 weeks?!!

apple and louise I tried an earlier bedtime and it worked!

Can't believe how many of you and babies have colds at the mo, and poor lois lost :(

lolli how's the bump, has it gone down a bit?

We still have poos only once every 3-5 days! It's quite handy really (but messy!)

pascha tea and toast in bed as usual?! Envy

Well I almost daren't say it but I may have half cracked the sleep thing. Plus we're officially just out of the wonder week whatsit. Since only feeding every 3 hours in the day and working out how to stop her escaping from her swaddle and waking herself, she's sleeping longer and waking less. Still 3 feeds a night but I'm not finding that too bad.

If anyone wants to know how to stop their baby escaping from swaddle let me know! I might patent it haha!

Ps have a Tesco delivery soon. Important message to all: COOKIE CRUNCH currently on offer (large bars) Grin

Lora1982 · 24/05/2013 10:09

With all this baby lark ive had no time to do much else... let alone sit at my pc editing photos and making a website I promised someone two months ago. Looks like as soon as hes asleep il be up til about two every morning on the pc :'(

Day five of poo watch I bet it arrives at the drs

Anyone else have cute communicaty moments. Dexter loves fake coughing to get me to do it back

mrsbugsywugsy · 24/05/2013 11:17

dd's sleep has gone from bad to worse, last night she fed every two hours again and she is refusing to nap and spends the evenings screaming till she eventually falls asleep from pure exhaustion. I am increasingly feeling at the end of my tether. I wish I hadn't listened to everyone who told me the newborn phase was the hardest and that it would all get easier because this is so much worse Sad

the only way I can get her to take naps now is by feeding her to sleep but I am worried that at this age it is setting up bad habits.

BuntyCollocks · 24/05/2013 11:54

birdies may have been a blip ... She seems much better. Although our week of her going to sleep at 7:30 has ended. She's back to 9:30 :(

Just had her 16 week jabs -
She's 21 weeks tomorrow! Absolutely shocking. However, I'm now booked in for my smear and to get my bum looked at - how exciting. Prodded at both ends on the same day Hmm

Both DC are sleeping ATM. Dd fell asleep on the way back from the dr, so I've left her in the car seat as I cba moving and probably wakening her. She needs the sleep, bless.

Think we three are going to attempt the town centre today, and tesco. Does anyone have any bright ideas for dinner? Still not much of an appetite with this cold, so I have no clue what to make.

Meringue33 · 24/05/2013 11:59

Bangers and mash is what we are having!

Just been to look at a potential wedding reception venue - nice country drive in the rain :)

AppleCrumples · 24/05/2013 12:23

lora sort of half smiles while staring at peopke til they give in and say hi then she grins and wriggles. Its too cute to ignore and she knows it

Bunty after a nightmare trip for 3 lots of school shoes last sat i have vowed never to go to town with all dcs ever again! Think we are having chicken tikka (not exciting a jar will be involved)

mrsbugsy try not to worry about bad habits. I would do what works for now and when she is a little older you can tweak things.

meringue that sounds exciting! :)

Pascha · 24/05/2013 12:24

Meatballs and spaghetti here. Yesterday was chicken, leek and pea risotto. What about jacket spuds? Bung em in the oven and buy some ready made fillings and salad?

Yup Birdies every morning DH gets up at 6am, goes downstairs, feeds the cats, makes tea and toast for me, coffee and crumpets for him and DS1 and brings it all back upstairs while I feed Dan. He puts the tea in a thermal mug so it stays hot and doesn't spill easily and we all have breakfast in bed.

Meringue I thought you meant bangers and mash at your wedding for a moment there. I would demand an invite if you did that!

Lora hope you manage to get some work done today.

Pascha · 24/05/2013 12:27

Dan's trick is when lying naked on the changing mat he waits til you try to put the nappy under his bottom, lifts his legs and plants his feet down hard so you have to start again, cheeky grin all the while.

Meringue33 · 24/05/2013 12:34

Pascha there may be bangers and mash at the wedding too! That's if the pub comes off. They seemed a bit unconvinced about having a wedding on a Saturday so may try and charge us an exorbitant amount to put us off.

BuntyCollocks · 24/05/2013 12:42

Good luck, meringue!

apples Cameron does that as well - wee monkey!

pascha Envy of your lovely DH. DFIL makes DMIL tea and toast every morning in bed. It unfortunately did not rub off on their son :(

We had sausage yesterday, and DH does not like jacket spuds weirdo but! I have nigellisima and a great recipe for meatballs there, so I think that may be a good 'un!

Is it just me or is the telly shit just now?
