Well done littlepig

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 13:15

izzy I would like to think that with more food on board in the day your lovely little boy will fairly soon wake in the night, wonder why on earth he is awake, and just snuggle down again. If I am going out anywhere, I pop him on the boob for a top up before I head out (or at least I did pre-formula - not quite sure what I would do now) is that an option? Would he take it?

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 13:17

I think with the Scotland meets, it would be best to alternate between Glasgow and Stirling. I do not have a car at the moment so need to rely on the lovely pass for Glasgow. I could however get to Stirling, but appreciate it may be too far for some to get to.

jakecat · 26/03/2013 13:19

limpit we've just started using pushchair part of buggy as well. LO seems quite happy in it which is good because she only had about half an inch of length left in the carrycot & she hates being squeezed into her carseat.

Were there other people out there with green & frequent poo issues? We had it for a couple of weeks but seems to be sorting itself out now. Think was either cold or Stunt was right about oversupply. I was very weirdly excited to see yellow poo again and also not to be changing LO's clothes every nappy change.

Problem is green poo has disappeared her manageable sleep pattern (bed at 7.30 ish, feeds10.30 and 2.30 ish and up at 6.00 ish) and no sign of getting back to it. Last couple of nights she has woken up around 2.30 ish done big farts and then been completely happily wide awake wanting to play...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/03/2013 13:27

vq it is much better than what we've had previously but it is very late for a baby to go to bed! He has had a piddly wee feed at 11.45am and another 2min feed just now. Literally two mins!

I think you may be right about the meets vq I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to attempt getting to Stirling just yet.

izzy he may be an extremely good feeder with an extremely good supplier.

J seems to be enjoying the world of naps. 45 mins this morning, and so far 2hrs 15 for lunch nap. I will need to wake him for school run at this rate. He has been down so long, I miss him!

I have been doing washing and washing up, tidied some kitchen cupboards, and am tackling the lounge. My DH is also a hoarder of books and the kids have a collection some libraries would be jealous of.

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 14:35

izzy that sounds like a big improvement on where you were, so I would be encouraged by the progress Smile

pig I am very impressed and it gives me hope that O can do the same. I think they are a similar age? O was born 28th Nov. He has slept independently of me before, so I'm sure he can do it again. Will try and get an early night tonight so that I have enough energy to try it tomorrow.

Just back from a playdate with next door. Her LO is 6 months and this is the first time they seemed to really notice each other, which was really lovely to see. Also lots of copying of noises and toy envy!

MaMaPo · 26/03/2013 14:48

Can I ask the collective's advice on my swaddling issue? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/sleep/1717546-Safe-swaddling

I have nap envy! Nice work, napping babies.

MissMummy1 · 26/03/2013 16:01

I bought a car. Diesel renault megane estate. Picking it up by the end of the week, it's laaavly! So count me in for a meet up anywhere in Scottishland Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 16:09

chasing O is 4 days younger than F - but she was 5 weeks early.

She's currently lying on her playmat talking to herself. Adorable.

I was brave at baby group today, and invited another mum over for coffee. I was nervous in the way I was nervous aged 12 when I asked a boy to the school disco my mum asked him for me She said yes Grin which was nice.

Well done valium prince!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/03/2013 16:16

Maybe vq but its weird. Honestly tiny little two min at most feeds. Last feed was the same!

ChunkyEasterChick · 26/03/2013 17:07

izzy I bet you'd be surprised how much he's taking in. My LO has started feeding v quickly or rather he seems to get distracted v easily but doesn't seem that hungry but judging by the posseting & vomming, unless he's emptying his stomach completely, he's getting plenty!!

What do we think of nursing necklaces? Worth it to stop distractions or a waste of money? A good way to wear jewellery & not care if baby eats/pulls it?

Have received the amber teething anklet. Nice little trinket even if its feck all use for teething. Worth a try to get a less dribbly, happier chappy.

Eliza was Mad Play clean? Had heard it went a bit yuck a while back but haven't been before. Would def be willing to meet there.

Getting a bit worried about amount of puking tbh. DS has just soaked me. Thought he'd stopped this recently...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/03/2013 17:18

chunky his feeds used to be much more 'normal' but that was when I was feeding on demand. I'm currently trying to offer more often, literally at first squeak! I'm not sure its helping anything as he is literally feeding for around 45 seconds or something ridiculous! Yesterday my mum had him while I was busy and he had two bottles but today he has honestly been on the breast for about 7 mins since 6.30am!! That can't be right!

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 17:18

Oh wow pig didn't realise she was so early. You were due around Christmas then?

O is trying his very best to crawl here! He loves tummy time and kicks his legs furiously. whilst trying to move forwards. He ends up spinning round in circles.

StuntNun · 26/03/2013 17:54

Chunky we're back to puking again today after a few better days. I've decided to stop worrying about possetting, nappies and sleep and just go with the flow. While it's the school holidays and no school runs I can tailor our schedule to J a bit more and DS1 and DS2 will just have to fit in around him for a change!

PMA PMA my baby will sleep tonight my baby will sleep tonight my baby will sleep tonight

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 18:55

Quiet on here this evening...is everybody off having lives? Grin

Brockle · 26/03/2013 19:01

no life here Smile. I am hiding downstairs whilst DH puts the big boys to bed.

did have a lovely meet up at IKEA with detective this afternoon though!

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 19:03

No chasing but don't want to seem like a loner posting to myself Blush

F was due on Christmas eve - glad she was early, if a little unexpectedly so.

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 19:04

Ooh its my turn to meet Detective on Thursday. She's doing the rounds!

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 19:05

Did she have to have any extra help when she was born pig?

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 19:08

I have been cooking. DS kindly obliged by napping for 45 mins, then had a feed and sat at the table with us, which was lovely. Managed this yesterday too. Felt like a proper family meal. I then did the washing up, with J supervising, and am now in the lounge listening to DH banging and drilling upstairs. A suprise apparently. The girls are crazy tonight they need to be out in the garden to burn off steam, but too cold and wet.

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 19:09

I cannot wait to meet detective Grin

Pikz · 26/03/2013 19:10

I think I've run out of sleep reserves. Feel very low and anxious about another broken night. Not sure why as I know I have it better than lots of people.Hmm
