Any remaining lurkers, would you like to de-lurk and announce yourselves? We won't bite!

Right, operation Nap Somewhere That Isn't Mummy phase 1 is in progress. I've fed her in her nursery, where she fed to sleep, and she is now in her big girl cot! Asleep! With curtains closed and white noise on. Will tackle the feeding to sleep thing another day maybe

YellowWellies · 26/03/2013 09:19

That would have been a good night had dozy heifer mummy not wandered into the crib with a bash at 11.30 (after watching one too many Grey's Anatomy episodes) thus instigating a feed until midnight. 8.30-11.30 (whoops) 12-3.30, 4-6.50 then 7-9.10. At least we got a sleep in with no Daddy waking us up.

MM see you at baby massage later?

Pass, VQ, MM, Cacacaz, Izzy do we want to meet in the next couple of weeks? Are we going to change venue - say somewhere in the middle - Stirling?

MissMummy1 · 26/03/2013 09:40

Literally just come on to ask you the same thing! I'll be there yw! I am defs up for a meet up v soon, tbh happy to meet anywhere assuming I have wheels.

Speaking of which, MIL is lending us 3k to buy a car. I am furious, I wanted financial independance from all of them but instead he has run to his mum again and now she thinks we have money problems again (we don't btw). Angry

Glad O is okay detective

Only skim read the past couple of days so nothing constructive to add.

All okay here, M's sleep is improving and we are now getting 2/3 hrs at a time; unfortunately with a wide awake period from 3.30 - 6ish during which I didnt stomp off to the spare room last night when know-it-all was being a dick Blush

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 09:42

Well done littlepig! You are my inspiration now. My plan of action starts tomorrow. We have a playdate with next door later so want him to be well rested in order to avoid a meltdown.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 10:25

chasing she managed........15 minutes Hmm BUT it's 15 minutes not on me and boy did I move quick in that time. House is clean and the clutter pile on the breakfast bar is gone until tonight when dh returns. I'm going to try to get 2 morning naps in her cot, the long afternoon one is too important in terms of night-time settling to mess around with yet.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 10:26

Her nap might have been longer, but the doorbell went off twice in those 15 minutes. Nobody ever comes over and rings the bell - figure the odds.

Kyzordz · 26/03/2013 10:37

Glad O is ok detective

Well done valium prince!

Sounds like its started well bplp!

Pictures day for E again today! We get them done every 4 weeks, he is 20 weeks today. I swear it comes about so fast!!

Limpit80 · 26/03/2013 11:00

Morning all! Rough night, but got a 3.5 hour stretch til around 9 when I brought him in with us so feel almost human again!
Detective my DP is similar on thinking that Im always overstating risk. I would be fuming if I were you, but the other are right that he's probably had the shock of his life, so you can just feel smug knowing you were right all along! (of course Grin)
pr Im the same about books. We had a clear out before F was born and I almost wept, even though we only got rid of stuff we really didn't like/ would never read.
Fatima Im going to try F in the pushchair bit of our Oyster today. He's 19wks, but hates both carrycot and carseat. Plus he's very long. Will just try a short trip and see how he goes.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 11:10

limpit and fatima - I was unaware of the age restrictions on pushchair bit of pram, so F has been in hers for some time. It has a newborn "nest" and lies flat, although she has it on the middle setting (harks back to reflux days).

Me and my dad could both get lost in 2nd hand bookshops, and emerge literally hours later, unaware of how long has passed. It is for that exact reason that I'm not allowed near any form of bookshop when we go shopping now. When I grow up (ha!) I want a library in my house. The kids can sleep top-and-tail, I'm having that library!

pig Yes! That is my lottery dream! A library with those ladders on wheels and huge comfy armchairs. Bliss!
I tried LO in the pushchairs a couple of weeks ago and he just looked a bit too small in it. Fingers crossed. He is getting too wriggly for the moby and I've yet to get another sling.

Limpit80 · 26/03/2013 11:21

Thanks pennie

pass I'd love the book if you wouldn't mind. Happy to have receive it any which way!

yw I'm up for a meet sometime soon, I'm a bit of a rubbish driver though so depends how far I'd be going!

I was planning to try feed J more again today but I was at asda and he fell asleep in car seat. He's just woken after 1.5 hours asleep! Hasn't been fed since 6.30am :-( I'm headed to my mums just now but will try feed him the minute I'm there!!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/03/2013 11:55

Yum. Big library and an indoor pool and a nanny is what I'll get with my giant lottery win when it bloody happens.

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/03/2013 12:25

Argh! I'm desperately trying to rehome my cats Sad
DS1 has grown a strain of bacteria I his lungs that has colonised and become resistant to most the available anti fungals. I need to eliminate any possible cause of this and the moggies are number 1 suspects so far, can't seem to find anywhere for them for love nor money. So much stress!!!

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 12:38

tits maybe take to an animal shelter? Not ideal I know, but it would relieve stress for you and potential risk to your son.

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 12:44

izzy how many times were you up in the night?

ChasingDaisy · 26/03/2013 12:48

Oh no...O is snoring away on me obvsand playdate commences in ten minutes.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/03/2013 12:49

Sorry to hear that Tits :(

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 26/03/2013 12:52

vq he went to bed at 10.45pm and was up at 2.10 and 6.15 so technically only one night feed although I'm not impressed at being up for the day at 6.15am!

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 12:56

Is that not fantastic izzy?

ValiumQueen · 26/03/2013 12:58

I guess it is only 3-4 hours between feeds though. And a late night and early start.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/03/2013 12:58

chasing F is on her 3rd nap of the day in her cot Grin. I have adjusted my expectations - she would usually have an hour nap, and a 90 minute nap over the course of the morning. Today we've had 15 minutes, then 45....this time she was awake when I put her down but sleepy and full, so I patted her back for a bit, the eyes rolled...and now I'm eating lunch. When she wakes, I will tell her to put together a lesson plan for O.

izzy glad to hear your night was better, agreed 6.15 is a bit of a bummer though!
