Urgh, what a night!

J is feeling rotten, DP is feeling rotten and so am I.

J fed all night but didn't sleep once, he has also started kicking, pinching and slapping me while he's feeding, not in any sort of distressed way just ... because .
I was in floods at 3am this morning, he was crying and I was so tired, my head was/is pounding and every bone in my body aches.

I'm not quite sure yet how I'm getting through today, I have s much housework to do and J is still not sleeping, he has a fever though so I'm going to give him some Calprofen and give him a cuddle to see if he'll sleep.

He is very chesty so i might rub some snuffebaby stuff on him too, just for good measure.

I also need to find something to do for dinner, any suggestions of something quick, easy that I might already have the ingredients for?

Pikz · 20/03/2013 07:54

Tits chicken casserole? Throw all in pot and oven for 1.5 hrs.

Sorry to everyone with bad nights and sick babies.

We have gone from 1 wake up between 7-7 to last night needing 7oz at 1 and 4. Seriously hoping not sleep regression. Hope just a blip.

Catbag, I called the local register office yesterday as I just received the DNA result aNd they said I needed a court order. She emailed me this:

A Declaration of Parentage (DoP) is a court order that can state who is or who is not a child's parent. Where a DoP is issued under Section 55(A)(1) of the Family Law Act 1986, the court send a copy of the order and associated paperwork to the General Register Office where consideration can be given to re-registering the birth to reflect the court's findings.

If you want to look into getting a DoP, you may wish to seek legal advice from a solicitor specialising in Family Law.

Previously they said I needed the DNA and I assume I need to give that to the court?

Spaghetti bolognaise is my fall back easy dinner.

But, try not to fret about the house work. As my friend tells me "nobody wishes on their death bed that they did more house work". Cheery but true. Look after yourself.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2013 08:09

tits macaroni cheese, always have the ingredibles or that knocking about.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 20/03/2013 08:22

Morning all! I'm not able to keep up at the mo. B has been referred to hospital for her lip tie after the HV watched her feed and agreed it wasn't right. She's never heard of lip tie either.

For all of those having feeding problems, reflux, green poo etc. try rolling your LO's top lip back and check the attachment. Lip tie is undiagnosed because nobody looks for it but it causes so many feeding problems. Most babies with it are diagnosed with reflux because they gulp air and are sick a lot.

fruitpastilles · 20/03/2013 08:33

tits I'm with eliza on the spag Bol, so easy, I don't a massive one yesterday so it'll do for today as well (lazy!)

fruitpastilles · 20/03/2013 08:33

Done not don't

fruitpastilles · 20/03/2013 08:38

What will they do for that dicks snip it?

Evilwater · 20/03/2013 08:39

Morning fuckers,
Sorry to hear about the shit nights. N woke twice but was ok getting to sleep he still need his dummy Sad N had two big poos and seems happier, so all that whining must have been that.

There is Blue sky and spring, here Grin off for a walk later Yay!!

Evil

Titsalinabumsquash · 20/03/2013 08:42

I'll see what I have knocking about in the kitchen if J ever goes to sleep.

He's just exploded silently in a brand new baby grow, I only discovered it when it seeped onto my knee, parenthood is so darn classy sometimes Grin

Oh and he has the corner of one tooth popped through, although its the one next to the middle ones bizarrely. Smile

I won't fret too much about the house work, I'll try and get the nappy bins and at least one load of laundry done (because it's all poopy)
I think my sister might be making an appearance at some point today so I can always rope her into baby snuggling while I do a bit.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 20/03/2013 08:44

It can be snipped or lasered fruit. We'll probably have it lasered privately as it has less chance of reattaching.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2013 08:45

Ooo tits post on what ingredients you have and we will make something up for you. Ready steady cook!

StuntNun · 20/03/2013 08:45

Tits boil pasta and peas, grill / fry / microwave bacon, mix together with grated cheese. Voila, student mealtastic.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/03/2013 08:48

Fuck. Doctor checked her ears yesterday. Why this morning is tehre masses and masses of gunk in and outside her ear? Bt she's much better. Have phoned paed but she won't be in til late morning so will call back then. WTF? Ear experience anyone?

Pikz · 20/03/2013 09:03

PR only have experience in adults/ teenagers but its normal and often is because they can't hear with all that wax and once it's out it's instant relief as can give a feeling of being in a bubble. Wash away gently with warm watter. Don't dig any out.

Titsalinabumsquash · 20/03/2013 09:05

I've found some cod in butter sauce I. the freezer, I'll stick that in the microwave then do micro steam pouches of veg and mash potato Blush yup, microwave to the rescue!

J has zonked so I'm going to stick the washing on then empty nappy canyon.

MsJupiterJones · 20/03/2013 09:06

Ha Fruit that's exactly what I said to DH, I have my own non-sleeping baby right here, why would I want to watch anyone else's? Then started laughing slightly hysterically and couldn't stop.

Hit a bit of a wall yesterday with exhaustion and illness. Told DH I was going to sleep in the spare room after the 2am feed and he'd have to deal with the rest of the night. I didn't though. But he did get up at 5.30am with L, leaving me to sleep on lie awake till 7.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/03/2013 09:11

And we're back to the hysterics.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/03/2013 09:12

Tugging on her ear going absolutely apeshit. My poor baby.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2013 09:20

Not cod in butter sauce in the bag like your mum used to make!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2013 09:21

I am excited about going to Marks and Spencer's alone. Without a pushchair. For the first time in 8 years!!!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2013 09:22

Give or take a couple of trips, but it sounds better

ChasingDaisy · 20/03/2013 09:23

Lily That's a good idea, I'll try making up a few 6oz bottles today to see how we get on. If he could just take an extra ounce per feed, that will be equivalent to an extra feed.

Luis I would guess a developmental leap. If there is no distress, she may just be trying to interact with the new and exciting world that has suddenly appeared. There is one at 17-19 weeks (by due date not birth date) if I recall correctly and it is supposed to ne a big one.

Sorry to all those having crap nights.

It's ok for babies to chew toys right?! MIL told O off for it yesterday, but I told her its fine and it is just how he explores his world.

ChasingDaisy · 20/03/2013 09:25

PR I think ear rubbing can be a teething sign. Not sure about the gunk though I'm afraid. Hugs to LO and Wine for you x
