Happy birthday Fatima Thanks

I am also thankful for white noise, which I have used lots today to get babylaughalot to sleep when all my usual techniques have fallen flat.

Sleepy dust to everyone, hope to not see you posting much in the night

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/03/2013 23:00

Sorry forgot to say fatima hoe you had a lovely birthday.

Off to bed now. I'm hoping for a better night than last night but that sounds like most of us!

Passmethecrisps · 14/03/2013 23:01

Just running through to say two things

sophia you are one of the least 'me me me' posters on this thread. You never talk about yourself. Don't apologise!! Oh, and DH should get the snip. It is relatively minor. You have been through enough.

Happy birthday fatima

misslaughalot · 14/03/2013 23:04

Oh and can I just say what a ridiculous expression the phrase sleeping like a baby is Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 14/03/2013 23:15

I am so going to regret this What is the facebook page?

TheDetective · 15/03/2013 00:38

6 feeds. 32oz. Thank fuck. Maybe he might sleep through tonight haaaa!!

LuisGarcia · 15/03/2013 00:48

Can I ask an odd q? Based on vq's thing about prisoners and airvents?

What are your sleeping arrangements?

I sleep on a mattress on L's floor. I have the door open between me and J. MrsG is in our room with the door shut.

We have arrived at this by basically the prisoner airvent logic. If they want her, they have to really mean it.

I know an arrangement like ours isn't for everyone, and J was a ferociously bad sleeper for a long while, but.... I'm just interested in other peoples solutions, I guess.

TheDetective · 15/03/2013 01:20

We sleep in same room in same bed lol! Except if DP is up before 7am. Like today. He is on the sofa. Not for his sake. But so he doesn't wake O. Suppose it is for his sake really coz I'd be raging if he woke O by his crashing about!

PurplePidjin · 15/03/2013 01:21

Happy birthday Fatima

Can't remember anything else. Got in from work ag 10:45 with freezing feet and they still haven't warmed up Hmm

StuntNun · 15/03/2013 01:29

Luis it's a closed group on Facebook set up by the lovely DH21. Search for Nov 12 Babies, the picture is a woman's tummy with a flower on. Then you can see what we all look like!

We both sleep in bed with J in a cot in the same room. We don't have a spare room so we're stuck with this arrangement until we manage to sell the house.

wtf 2am ... yesterday was 5 before that a run of 7/8am may have been almost a week ... I was getting far too used to that....didn't even go to sleep last time I stayed up looking at lamaze toys pathetic I want them all [no obsessive personality here!]
I even dreamt about them when I evetually lay my head down!

Contradictionincarnate · 15/03/2013 02:15

oh and mm1 I blame you! Wink

Contradictionincarnate · 15/03/2013 02:24

Luis we only have one dd so still in the same bed though I sometimes wish we were not my dm tells me they ended up sleeping in seperate beds for a while when I was tiny.
dh sleeps like a noisy talking log though so doesn't really get disturbed by feeds...
wanted to ask re iPad users any baby game apps their lo enjoys ... thought we could share ... dd likes the fisher price ones...
also anyone not on 23 snaps yet must try it ...to provide baby updates to friends etc fbook doesn't cut it like that for me ...plus my page is mine alone ...Grin

Contradictionincarnate · 15/03/2013 02:42

ValiumQueen · 15/03/2013 03:39

Six hours. Good boy! Quick breastfeed and back in cot. Please God let him sleep ok again. We so need a good night.

Hello to all those awake but who are reading and unable to post. It will get better in time. One day you will get 8 hours sleep straight.

kirrinIsland · 15/03/2013 03:40

Happy birthday Fatima Thanks

Luis we are in separate rooms. I have N in with me, DP is in the spare room with a monitor for DD1. we figured there was no point in both of us being up all night!

Dixie N looks like she might find her thumb soon. As she refuses a dummy I have been willing her to do this! She is 17 weeks.

N just slept 6 hours Grin Grin 9.30-3.30. I didn't get quite that much as DD1 kept waking up til 11.30 and DP was at work so I was up and down like a yoyo to her, but even so!

kirrinIsland · 15/03/2013 03:42

Cross post VQ - must be sleepy dust something in the air. Well done J

StuntNun · 15/03/2013 03:43

I'm here too Contra. We have had feeds at 7:30, 11:30 and 3:30 so suddenly stretched out to 4 hours. Unfortunately I couldn't sleep after the second feed. Instead I wrote a letter to DH about how I feel. I probably won't show it to him though as he's a bit sensitive. He got up when J wouldn't settle after his midnight feed, put the dummy in once then started shouting at him. So when he grabbed J up to take downstairs I ended up following him so DH was upset with me for not trusting him to look after J. But he had just lost his temper with him so I thought maybe he wasn't up to settling him. He can't have it both ways, shouting at the baby and expecting me to think he can manage in the middle of the night when I'm too tired to function.

I meant to say yesterday that I tried some skin-to-skin time with J and we are both far too ticklish for it now.

Falling asleep here, I hope I get another couple of hours sleep.
