strike out fail

MissMummy1 · 14/03/2013 21:32

Eliza can you use a maxicosi easybase instead? We just have the base that straps in, not the isofix one. Is that the same thing? And if you can't, can you use the base in the front seat? It is mostly just M and me in the car so I wouldn't mind having her in the front until she moves onto the next seat.

I have just bought her a lamaze spin and explore playmat as I feel she isn't getting enough tummy time. this one except I paid a fraction of the price on ebay because I am a tight arse . Does anyone have one? Now thinking I should have just bought her a scratching post as scratching the sofa herself is her new favourite trick Confused

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 21:36

sophia I think it would only be fair for DH to get done. You have gone through so much. It is not a pleasant op for a lady and with your bleeding tendencies it is the safer option too. Lay it on thick. Tell him the quiche has told him to.

With cars with storage spaces in floor, contact manufacturer as they can usually supply an insert for use with isofix seats.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 14/03/2013 21:39

I've got one mm, you've just reminded me, had it for dd1. She wasn't too fussed on it but I'll try B on it tomorrow.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/03/2013 21:44

Bloody well lost. I used to rock at monopoly, I was the pro nothing to do with having a handheld electronic version as a geeky teen, oh no Plus my hands are so cold now from being banker I can barely move my fingers.

Sorry to hear about your woes, sophia - I would ask beg dh to get the snip - a much safer procedure than female sterilisation. Dh will be getting snipped in this house on the kitchen table if needs be when I'm done having babies not yet as wants lots more

We're watching a documentary on c4 (child of our time?) - very sad, to see these poor children who are somebodys babies, with their problems. Puts everything into perspective eg botty dimples

MissMummy1 · 14/03/2013 21:48

BPLP is it not Born to be Different that's on Ch4 tonight? I'm watching it and feeling very thankful for my beautiful, healthy bundle who is currently fighting sleep. It pales our problems with her skin into complete insignificance. Box of tissues at the ready.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/03/2013 21:48

Not child of our time, but born to be different. Very sad. Good job my hormones are just about under control today.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/03/2013 21:49

Cross post with mm Grin

Bryzoan · 14/03/2013 21:54

Happy birthday Fatima

Kissy - don't panic. I think with hip dysplasla the creases are more commonly different heights rather than depths. That said, at this age they can be checked by ultrasound which is safe and not at all traumatic. G has one every week and just beams at the attention. So in your shoes I would ask for one just to be sure. Can't help on the webbed toes I'm afraid. I think mostly they are just one of those things that happen sometimes. I think I read somewhere that Dan Aykroyd has some!

PetiteRaleuse · 14/03/2013 21:58

sophia another vote for the snip here. DH is getting it done in a few weeks. They can be bruised bollock buddies :)

Kyzordz · 14/03/2013 21:58

So much to say, no doubt little time in which to say it before lo stirrs

Great news for the hips bry

Sorry LO is still having feeding issues kissy she's bf isn't she? Does she take a bottle at all or is it just any food, bm or f that she's being off with?

sophia are you sure dh wouldn't consider it? I think it might be wise, you have been through alot as vq says. How old is your LO? Hope he is a bit more settled with real food bless him.

vq glad j is more settled bless him

det hope you get to the bottom of it soon, glad O has eaten today, poor mite.

E had jags. Seemed ok, but was hot and screaming earlier so went with calpol. Then he went to bed at 7:30 but woke at 8 and wouldn't stay in his cot, he wanted me. Temp has gone down now and he is asleep, am going to feed him soon and hope the feed settles him enough to go in his own cot. fucking jags. Glad no more until 12? Months.

I did about 6 inches of the back of the jumper I started, realised I have been doing the wrong motherfucking size so had to undo it. I cried

Glad you're having a nice holiday glenda :)

Not got one mm but may invest as LO hates tummy time but may like this I guess and it gives me an excuse to get it, I love Lamaze stuff

Hope good sleeps are had by all shamelessly including myself here, an shattered and need the sleep to get shot of headache

PetiteRaleuse · 14/03/2013 21:59

Happy birthday Fatima :)

Kyzordz · 14/03/2013 22:00

Happy birthday fatima

StuntNun · 14/03/2013 22:03

Hope you got some decent food VQ. The beef madras was sooo tender and very lovely apart from a bit light on the chilli to avoid DH J having tummy trouble. Served with garlic and coriander naan and cucumber raita. Burp. J woke up twice but DH managed to resettle him without me having to resort to boob.

Kissy the important bit is the bottom line the buttocks which should be the same height on both sides. If it isn't it means one hip is moving upwards. But if you have concerns get a scan done to rule it out. Also I have a friend with webbed toes on one foot but she never bothered doing anything about it.

I have an S-Max MM which also has underfloor storage compartments so we put J in the middle seat with an Easybase. It's a bit harder to get the seat in and out but it's the safest seat in the event of a crash.

Right I'm off to bed. FC last night was a one-off because it was sheer hell on top of the last two week being really shit. At least DH is here for the night shift although I think he's more tired than me after all that travelling.

O is due his injections next tuesday. Am reluctant to have them done with all the feeding problems. I don't need to add anything else in the mix at the moment.

However, I don't particularly want to delay them either.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/03/2013 22:10

Happy Birthday fats

Thanks all. Think it might be the way to go, I will work on some gentle Persuasion over next month now I have at least raised the subject. I realise some men think it affects their masculinity, as I suppose women may feel about sterilisation or a hysterectomy so he needs to take his own journey through those thoughts like I did when I came to my sterilisation decision.

I am spreading my sleepy dust liberally to the quiche. Sleeping babe in arms. Doesn't want milk, I assume it is jabs related. His cheeks are bright red though. Attempting transfer.......

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 22:14

detective there is quite a big window with this one. Think the little fella and you would benefit from a fortnight delay. There are no new jags just top ups with the third ones. J had his 4 weeks late today. I could not delay even though his feeding is problematic at the moment.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/03/2013 22:14

detective have just read your thread about O and his feeding...bloody hell girl, when it's all put like that I just want to give you both a big fat squeeze. Because we hear from you most days, I realised he's been having a rough time, but when I read it all in one go, it sounds awful. I so hope you can get some answers soon, poor little man.

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/03/2013 22:27

mm it's the same with the easy base. It's the bit on the floor that doesn't work with it. Sorry I'm not explaining it well am I! vq as always has a very good point about contacting ford to see they have can put something in the floor so it doesn't have the storage bit. Re putting the seat in the front, I think you can but you'll have to get the air bag disabled first.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/03/2013 22:43

If you disable the airbag, check your insurance is still valid - some insurers will view this as a modification and we know what knobjockeys insurers can be

Off to bed, to sulk about my Monopoly fail.
I'll sneak a bit of that sleepy dust that was being chucked around earlier too, just to make sure!

kissyfur · 14/03/2013 22:46

Thanks bryz and stunt. I will go see the GP just to be sure. I only mentioned the toes as I did a stupid thing earlier and consulted dr google and it said its more common in babies with a mild foot abnormality Confused

TheDetective · 14/03/2013 22:46

My front airbag is turned off, you just turn the key in the switch which is on the passenger door arm rest. 3 door cars suck! I can't manage getting O in and out the back strapping the seat in with my broken bits!

Which reminds me, pass. GP! Go! DO IIIIIIT!!

Thank you BP! It has been these last 2 weeks which have tested my sanity limits! All I want is my happy boy! And healthy!

kissyfur · 14/03/2013 22:47

Happy birthday Fatima!

kissyfur · 14/03/2013 22:54

Oh and Kyz forgot to say LO is bf yes and I have tried to give her a bottle of ebm but she had no idea what to do with it. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing and she will start feeding properly again soon. Not giving her a dummy any more tho as I'm not sure it's helping matters
