chasing you just described what O has been doing to get around! Lifting his bum off the floor and slamming around lol!

Pikz · 18/03/2013 07:44

Good luck glenda!

Contradictionincarnate · 18/03/2013 07:50

Mmm dd been doing the bum lifting thing almost as if she is trying to sit up... just started it about 3 days ago...not getting anywhere yet though...

kirrinIsland · 18/03/2013 07:53

Good luck for today glenda

you didn't have all the sleepy dust detective - I had some too. N went down at 10, woke at midnight coughing but went straight back down, and is just stirring now!!! I'm going to count that as sleeping through. and I won't expect her to do it again in a hurry

stunt I agree that perhaps a trip to the Dr might be a good idea.

VQ you have done well with J - you couldn't have known your milk was hurting him and you've reached a solution on your own despite asking numerous times for help. He's happy and healthy and thriving and that's down to you :)

horseylady · 18/03/2013 07:54

stunt hugs.

pr my dogs are the easiest and kindest dogs in the world. Until the window cleaner arrived on Tuesday. I thought they were going to kill him (or his broom!!)

det brilliant news he slept through!!

No real news here I'm thinking of getting a cleaner back in!!

PurplePidjin · 18/03/2013 07:57

Can i do that, Kissy? I've been sterilising dumping a kettle of water over immediately before use, then freezing the milk straight away. If it's ok to hang around for a few hours I'll bring it up!

Pikz · 18/03/2013 08:08

PP yes it's ok for a couple of hours. As a long time pumper it's the easiest milk to keep and transport.

fruitpastilles · 18/03/2013 08:11

Morning all!

Hugs stunt hope J is a bit better today!
Yay det well done O!
glenda good luck today, hope you have a fab day!

We had a good night last night, I thought we would have a nightmare because S slept terribly in the day because we were out at a christening and then the party after. She done nothing but cry all day and I didn't have a clue what was wrong with her Sad Didn't help that everyone just kept repeating 'she's hungry, she must be hungry' why do people think that the answer to a baby crying is automatically to feed them. I know my daughter and I know when she is hungry thank you!

StuntNun · 18/03/2013 08:13

I'm not convinced the doctor would have a clue or actually care seeing as J is healthy and gaining weight well. I suspect I'd be written off as a paranoid mummy again. He doesn't have any problem with lying flat on his back so I don't think it's reflux. The problem is really the pain that he seems to have and I'm wondering if that's a sensitivity to something I'm eating. But yesterday I had caffeine, (mild) curry, fried onions and lots of dairy products so I wouldn't know which if those were the guilty party. Is is possible to have mild CMPI? He does get snotty and wheezy intermittently, spits up a lot, has green nappies, seems to be in pain and has eczema. But I would have thought he would be much more ill if it were CMPI. I do eat a lot of dairy products though, yesterday I had a pint of milk, yoghurt and butter at the very least. My mum said my eczema started the week I had cow's milk for the first time at six weeks when her milk dried up because she went on a diet. Right better go and make packed lunches or they'll be late for school.

Congrats to everyone getting sleep

Catbag · 18/03/2013 08:18

Morning all :)

minidetective gets prizes. Good boy!

pass your summarising is actually magnificent. You get prizes too Grin

vq I am so pleased that the new feeding regime is working. You are battled through like a trooper and I for one am very proud of you. You get big fucking prizes Grin

Not sure I am enjoying the Ikea car effect much. I am desperate to get up there and get my grubby hands on all that luvverly baby stuff but I do like my car more. And too a lesser extent, Dh's but only because having his own car keeps him from being in mine and turning it into a mobile skip. Operation Return Cars to their Previous Working Condition commences today

Lily311 · 18/03/2013 08:19

Well done MiniDetective.

Ok night here, she was up at 1 and at 4. She came into my bed at 4 and slept till 7. Now fighting not to have the morning nap.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/03/2013 08:21

That's great Detective after I handed it out LO went down easily and slpept til this morning no probs.

horsey when people come to the door that I don't know I make a big show of holding him back by his collar. It looks like I am trying to stop him from attacking but I'm actually trying to stop him from jumping up, knocking them over and licking/humping them :o

Right. About to attempt my first chocolate cake. Got to try and get it done before DH leaves work so he can pick up a decent cake on his way home if need be. Wish me luck. I can't believe she is two already!!!

Pikz · 18/03/2013 08:21

Catbag (which my phone autocorrects to carnage!) can't you send Ikea the bill?

Catbag · 18/03/2013 08:22

Stunt I haven't any advice I am afraid, but it sounds awful. You get prizes for just existing Thanks

glenda Good luck for today. Exciting times!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/03/2013 08:23

Luis was that a happy pleased for you congrats or a through gritted teeth congrats? Stunt LO is going through something similar. Since yesterday I have been calpoling her and only then she eats and is happy. No sign of tummy pain, or any obvious pain. Very strange.

Catbag · 18/03/2013 08:24

pikz Ha ha, think I may need someone more scientific than I on this thread to conduct experiments to prove a causal link Grin

Catbag · 18/03/2013 08:26

And 'car-nage' isn't far from the truth! Shock

Pikz · 18/03/2013 08:35

Right packing list for LO for a week skiing!! Must start thinking!

Jims · 18/03/2013 08:39

stunt it may just be teething or a cold. Maybe? I remember ds1 used to produce way more dirty nappies when teething. And F's nappies go greener when he has a cold. Sympathies from here too as feeding issues are awful and you never have any real solution, just lots of guessing and hoping. I'm hoping you find something that works for you though.

Someone stole the sleepy dust from here last night! F took his biggest ever dreamfeed and then was still up at 3 and 6 which is (fortunately) quite rare here. However that's great for everyone that had better nights after long runs of bad ones. I really don't get babies really, F has had decent daytime naps the last two days for the first time in ages so i thought he's be more settled. Maybe he's not taking as much in the dy though as he's been really sicky (don't know why) and gets distracted from feeding doing that craning his head away thing from me banana style!

Evilwater · 18/03/2013 08:42

Hi all, nice to see you back VQ.
Up again twice last night. Once for feed, then for nappy. Lots to do today, and the sun is shinning. He is still being very high pitched, and sounds like a sore throut.

Evil

itsnotyouitsmeals · 18/03/2013 08:43

Good luck glenda. Glad things have improved vq. Am wondering what else I can do to help LO. kissy how did you know what to give up? Have cut dairy but thinking I must try other things too. mm glad you're ok. Someone broke into our car at the weekend and it's made me jumpy. Well done to the sleepy babies and hello everyone else! Am trying to be a good poster after my months of lurking. Will do a lurker appeal later.

Right. Got a toddler and baby to look after keep apart
Meals x.

LuisGarcia · 18/03/2013 08:52

Ha PR. It was a genuine, pleased for you jealous congrats.
