Dots loves tummy time - especially on the mat with the mirror - she was telling herself a right yarn earlier today. Those who don't like it - have you tried a pillow/rolled up towel/feeding cushion under them??

dd slept for a total of (drum roll please) ... 4 minutes ... (14 if you count the 10 mins on me) she slept at 5pm for 40 minutes but apart from that has been up since 9am!

HOW do I get her to self settle ...without cc and how can I get her to sleep before 11!
realise this self pitying should just be ignored given others problems but had to get it out there I have been very cranky today and everything dh does is peeing me off suspect its more than just 3 bad nights maybe pmt have had it pretty bad in the past!

contra remind me how old is DD? in my very limited experience cracking her daytime naps essential to cracking bedtime.

Self settling for us hasn't worked for a while, but I still harp on about white noise, swaddle (or growbag) and dummy if you use one. But mostly the white noise!

Willies are ugly.

O loves self settling. When I put her in her cot she looks at me with her eyes open gratefully. She is a tummy sleeper though. I put her down, say night night and shut the door. Bless.

14 weeks ...15 on Tuesday ... when I had totally free days on Monday and Tuesday I did manage to get her to nap twice on Tuesday for 45 mins on me each time though ...whenever I put her down she woke up.
her daytime naps are in a chicco chair thingy ...(it reclines flat ) she used to sleep in it in the day but randomly to no schedule ...think its been a month since she actually managed a full daytime nap that wasn't on me.

oh and Luis on Monday/ Tuesday it was every 3 hours ... she is still wide awake at 90 mins!

contra not sure I can help. DD1 was/is a poor sleeper. Finally slept through at 2 and still sleeps with us. DD2 slept through from 2 weeks (sorry). Mind we put her down late. Now think sleep is a personality thing as done nowt different.

contra 3 hours is 2 * 90 minutes. Babies have a 90 minute brainwave pattern and get their second wind after 90 minutes because they reboot. The 90 minute meme is an attempt to give them every chance to sleep. It doesn't always work but the idea is to give them every opportunity.
