Erm. Given that I want to have another in a few years, I plan on keeping all the entertainment toys and stuff. The only thing I'm not keeping is clothes - I'm selling them to fund O's next stuff mostly! I have kept the odd few bits. But not many.

So, where the fuck do I put all the baby shit?

My loft isn't boarded, and the hatch is absolutely tiny. I have a shed, but I would worry about anything with fabric getting smelly and moldy.

I have seriously thought about renting somewhere just to store stuff in. But would assume it was expensive??

itsnotyouitsmeals · 16/03/2013 22:39

Eek! Thanks det and pennie. Reflux sucks... Wait! It's the opposite of sucking I guess ( it blows chunks??!) and it's so had to hear LO in pain. Have gone dairy free and now considering dropping soy too but am veggie. Hmmm. Anyway any reflux help will be much appreciated. Am also thinking of cranial osteopathy?

Can't believe I have finally joined. Have been following stalking since about June.....

Meals x

MM, yes was me being broody on FB. I don't know whether we really want another (DH says no!), but I can't quite bring myself to believe that I'll never experience pregnancy again, and that all the lovely newborn stuff is over forever. I think after a third I'd be at ease with that, but feel like there's a chance of one more at the mo so I don't want to say goodbye to pregnancy/babies now. Iyswim?! Anyway, there is literally no DTD happening here so it's most certainly not going to happen anytime soon!

Can someone inform my LO that I've decided to drop the dream feed? He keeps waking up at 10/10.30 anyway??!

Welcome meals.

itsnotyouitsmeals · 16/03/2013 22:40

We love in the tiniest house and I stuck the baby stuff under the bed and the rest in my Dfolks's loft. X

misslaughalot · 16/03/2013 22:41

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!

You are all weird.

Sandwiches and toast are rectangular shaped. Triangles are just wrong! Pointy and long and wrong wrong wrong.

itsnotyouitsmeals · 16/03/2013 22:41

Love and live! Wink

Can't stop posting now!

Passmethecrisps · 16/03/2013 22:47

Since June meals?! You deserve a long-service lurker award. Good job.

Dixiebell · 16/03/2013 22:47

Last night, was feeding Teddy about 2.30 and he's so bunged up he keeps swallowing air and screaming, huffing, puffing and pulling off. It's a bit stressful. Then turned round to see DH lying with eyes closed and hands over his ears. Elbow sticking up into the air. I know it must be annoying having a screaming snorting baby next to you when trying to sleep, but wasn't the most supportive gesture he could have offered me. As I have mentioned to him today :). With ds1 I used to feed in another room. I suppose I could offer to do that again, but have got used to doing it in my nice warm bed ( initially because didn't want to disturb ds1, but now realised he'd sleep through an earthquake), don't want to give it up now!

ValiumQueen · 16/03/2013 22:49

I have found the more babies I have, the less bloody great hulking entertainment centres I need. J has a baby bjorn bouncer, bumbo and a mamas and papas play mat. It is all he needs. We have had door bouncers, walkers, swings, jumperoos and they are all unnecessary imo. Give them a 2yo sibling to play with and they will be just as happy, although grubbier and more inclined to yelp.

Hello meals that is one big baby! Ouch! DD2 was 10lb 3 but thank fuck I had a section.

itsnotyouitsmeals · 16/03/2013 22:49

Blush I was a bit superstitious about posting before LO arrived and then newborn madness and then it seemed odd after so long... Thanks for the award though pass.

itsnotyouitsmeals · 16/03/2013 22:53

Yup vq at 15 weeks she was 17lbs 3. Massive girl!

Agree re entertainment. DD1 aged 3 entertains terrorises her.

ValiumQueen · 16/03/2013 22:57

I have noticed in supermarkets for example, the more expensive pre-prepared sandwiches are rectangular, but if you go to Marks and Spencers cafe they are teeny tiny triangles.

dixie I prefer to feed in the nursery as it just winds me up looking at the sperm donor, awake or not.

TheDetective · 16/03/2013 23:03

Oh yes. I can imagine a toddler to be very entertaining to a baby! I don't have that. Although O is very entertained by the xbox already. Hmm

I'll ask DS1 to play with O while I make his lunch/have a dump/answer the door/put washing on run away or whatever, and I come back 5 minutes later to find, in true man style, DS1 on xbox or watching TV, while O is on some kind of entertainment system, with DS1 shooting him the odd smile, and the odd 'Oscaaaaaar' >>> face back to TV exactly like DP. Or his foot bouncing or rocking whatever item he has chosen to put him in. Often I have come back to the playmats, bouncer and swing all out, as he has systematically rotated him around them all in an attempt to keep him happy not play with him!.

Doesn't matter how many times I tell him. He manages about 1 minute of entertainment, before boredom of baby sets in! And of course, then O whinges. And I get nothing done.

Saying that, the whinges are less. For now. So that is good. Wink

HOWEVER!!!!!! If DS1 thinks I am playing with O, then he wants to play with O. DS1 just wants to play with O when he wants to, not when I ask him to. He plays with him so well if I ignore the time he walked in to the kitchen with O on his shoulders across the solidly tiled floor so it isn't not wanting to or knowing how to. It is that he won't do anything I bloody want him to lately!!!!!

TheDetective · 16/03/2013 23:04

It's amazing how murderous one can feel at 3am in the morning when faced with a snoring twat DP/H. Grin

Brockle · 16/03/2013 23:07

Y was watching ds2 colouring today and the biggest smiles come when his brothers move his arms about whilst singing the darth vader theme from star wars. I think he is bored when its just me and him Grin

daisychain76 · 16/03/2013 23:09

Hello meals. Dixir, be warned, like you, l thought l?d feel finished after having a 3rd, but l so don?t need to persuade dh

Brockle · 16/03/2013 23:10

I don't think its possible not to want to twat your DP in the face when you are feeding in the dark and they are snoring. baby no 3 and the urge is just as strong.....

rootypig · 16/03/2013 23:12

hey quiche, have been catching up. brain fried from reading and have forgotten everything to say.

oh pass meant to say that eczema is just weird and mysterious. your routine sounds good. if stubborn patch doesn't go away there could be secondary infection so get doctor to have a look. HC cream the only thing that will get rid of a flare up but with religious use of emollients they can be prevented.

ChasingDaisy have posted on FB, huge hugs and please let the quiche know if there's anything you need, I know between us we could rustle it up.

things here are mixed. my older sister came to visit this weekend but our fucking crappy difficult lifelong relationship reared its head and she left early after a fight. I am sad for her as she was so excited to see LO. but I am exhausted after nearly 30 years of being her sister and think I'll take a break from our relationship for a while.

in good news have popped S in her grobag, which she has been too small for until now, the first night she slept five hours then feed then another five, and last night she slept 8pm to 5am!!!!! nine fucking hours! without waking for milk!!!! she has been waking every 3 - 4 hours for feeds pretty much since she was born so I am hoping this is a big breakthrough. She is a little kick boxer with her chubby little legs so I think she was waking herself up kicking the blankets about.

daytimes she is a bit velcro, she is 19 weeks, 20 by EDD, and think she is having her mental leap 4. other milestones-wise she hates tummy time but will do it because mean mummy makes her, has rolled front to back a few times out of sheer desperation amid squeals of indignation, seems to be teething (drooly and cranky), has started having giggle fits, and makes lots of sounds like a little owl. no rolling back to front and nothing remotely word like. oh and she only poos every three days! Hmm her farts are Blush Blush Blush

Brockle · 16/03/2013 23:20

hello meals Grin

TheDetective · 16/03/2013 23:22

I made DP cry. I whacked him when he was snoring, and got him in the eye. He does not remember this. But I remember him sobbing like a baby!!. Errrrm, oooops!

TheDetective · 16/03/2013 23:22

I did not mean to get his face. Honest Grin.
