Oh sophia if noone else claims them can I???? Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 16/03/2013 18:33

I binned my maternity clothes the other day. It was bittersweet. I don't ever want to go through this again, but knowing I'll never hear the heartbeat for the first time again, or feel the first flutters of movement, or meet one of my babies for the first time again is sad. I am however Happy never again to go through the fear or reality of miscarriage, or the blurred nightmare of those first few days and nights. My family is complete and I feel I am closing the book on a huge experience, but excited about new experiences with my girls.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/03/2013 18:33

Yep. Done mm pm me your address. Xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/03/2013 18:43

pr am doing that along side you. I am ebaying a load of stuff as I had a few Isabella Oliver bits that fetch quite a good price and I bought some new bits when I was pregnant with O. It is really emotional to know that I won't have another life growing inside me or hold another newborn, of my own. unless I really get sick of this Mirena and DH won't have the snip and I can't get a sterilisation

Anyway. Sad times taking all the maternity stuff out of the wardrobe and opening the work clothes box!!

horseylady · 16/03/2013 18:46

No hope of catching up ever!!!

Summary anyone?!

MissMummy1 · 16/03/2013 18:47

Done. Thank you so much!

Det I feel the same. Until I donated one to my mum's lounge last night we had 3 playmats. We also have a jumper thingy, swing, bouncer seat and a rocking horse. Luckily the lounge in this house is pretty big but if/when we buy somewhere we wont have nearly as much space. Sad

Contradictionincarnate · 16/03/2013 18:51

Dragon Rampant!!
and dd slept through most of the first half ate and slept through second half! xxx ...

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 16/03/2013 18:53

PR with you on that. Sold my maternity clothes on ebay when DS was a month old. cant quite bring self to sell actual baby stuff though

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 18:59

Ha! bplp very nearly was! Turtling we say Grin
I'm going to a christening as well, I'm godmother so need to make even more of an effort than I would normally! Don't think the usual attire of a jumper and jeans both covered in sick will cut it!

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:01

I still wear a pair of my maternity jeans, they are so comfy only ones that fit

BigPigLittlePig · 16/03/2013 19:02

fruit Grin - to turtle and sick. God knows, shall raid wardrobe. At least I can stick myself at the back of the church and keep a low profile.

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:12

I HATE IRONING SHIRTS
That is all.

Contradictionincarnate · 16/03/2013 19:14

I still wear maternity jeans...house jeans! else I'm wearing a bigger size Sad

sweetpea1112 · 16/03/2013 19:18

fruit no more ironing shirts for me Grin

Every cloud and all that.

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:23

See sweet one of the many advantages Smile

Lily311 · 16/03/2013 19:23

I sold all my maternity clothes on ebay. I put them in bundles of 4 and made a £100. I had 3 bundles plus swimming costume and tankini, everything from h&m. I think i made more money on them than what I bought them for.

As for baby things, i am selling them too. I always try gumtree and nappyvalleynet first than ebay second. The 0-3 month bundle clothes went for £30 on gumtree, on ebay I wouldn't have made any money (i bought the same bundle for £4 on ebay Grin ). On sale now the bouncer and play gym (she hates both), they were replaced by bumbo and jumperoo. My living room is also like a nursery, unbelievable amount of baby things. I bought the 6-12 and 12-18 month cloth bundle already, both under £10.

I feel bittersweer about these things, wish to keep them but who knows what the future holds.

I went to Ikea and tried the antillop high chair. She looked well cross. You know those inflatable cushions? She didn't need them Grin. I have a tripp trapp, got it off gumtree.

Lily311 · 16/03/2013 19:24

I have no idea where my iron is or if I own an iron at all Blush.

Pikz · 16/03/2013 19:48

Best sound in the world. Lying in bed listening to LO having a full on loud convo with his daddy. Proper making me laugh. He's supposed to be going to sleep!

Lily big hug, I can understand bittersweet and your right who knows but for now do what's right for you.

Chasing daisy there is always a positive. Wink

ChasingDaisy · 16/03/2013 19:49

I can also sell my maternity clothes. They won't be needed again any time soon.

Passmethecrisps · 16/03/2013 19:54

I have an iron! It is handy for holding back the piles of towels in the cupboard.

fruit I am the same "OMG! Why is P not doing X, Y and Z???" She does like some toys but mostly just for nomming - anything will do for that. She has rolled but made herself cry doing it today. She doesn't reach out for stuff or play with a rattle or similar things. She mostly likes staring. Staring and standing.

ChasingDaisy · 16/03/2013 19:55

Oh yes, O just loves people, not toys. He loves being on his tummy and chatting to people.

Toys are sometimes good for shoving in eye mouth.

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:56

Operation put baby to bed half an hour earlier so I can fake tan my legs has gone swimmingly! She went down as if it was 7:30 not 7. This is going to backfire tonight isn't it?!

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:57

Cross posts pass I know, I'm the same, but as was pointed out to me, they all develop at different rates and learn things at different stages. still doesn't stop me wanting her to hurry up and do things!

fruitpastilles · 16/03/2013 19:58

Yes, S loves standing, and generally being nosey, she's just like me!

Pikz · 16/03/2013 20:01

I have one who won't roll and after 10mins of tummy time goes batshit.

Thinking of a playnest as he likes sitting up. Views?
