Oh pennie that is truly shit. I'm so so sorry Hmm

Kyzordz · 07/03/2013 16:40

That's really shitty pennie, sorry that has happened. Thieving and lying are two things I cannot stand. Thank fuck LO wasn't in it!

Am tired. Ds had a so far, hope saying so doesn't ruin it much better day today. He had a tiny bit of mushy banana from my finger and thought it was the bees knees. Pretty sure I can't be condemned for that lol? It was merely a taste and his little face showed a thousand emotions, like pr said her LO was, unsure, then ooh actually, then where's the rest?! Bless him!

As he loathes tummy time I'm really pleased we have found a bit of a game he quite likes, if I roll him away from me, then towards me and pull faces. And then I rolled him onto his front all happy like for a split second and rolled him back, so he knows he can get back. I managed to get him to not freak out and actually smile for about 15 seconds on his tummy. Sounds like such a little bit but he was smiling and enjoying himself i was really pleased :) will try again tomorrow and see if we can increase it just a tiny amount.

There was something else...

Oh yes, detective you make me laugh! It'll be muscle, that! True stuff. Sorry about your broken fanjo, I do hope it fixes! Maybe you could make it feel appreciated and loved? Bit of jewellery or summink?

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 16:53

DD1 was just playing with my mobile - youtube - and suddenly she gives me the phone. She had phoned, and woken, a good friend of mine. Who is in Australia.

A) calling her mobile from mine is bloddy expensive
B) she was woken up and mighty pissed off Blush
C) i think I will haveto go back to writing down numbers and emptying my contacts list on the phone.

Dammit.

StuntNun · 07/03/2013 17:06

We got our Jumperoo assembled and J has had a couple of goes in it. He seems to enjoy it but hasn't quite worked out how to bounce yet plus his feet don't reach the ground so had to have a cushion under him! Anyway I was wondering how long he can spend in it a day. I'm assuming too much time in it would be bad for him but how much is too much?

Sorry to hear about your Quinny Pennie. That is really shit. I left my pushchair outside for a couple of minutes while I was going in to get J and it did cross my mind that someone would nick it so I won't be soon that again. Will you be able to get a replacement?

kissyfur the chemist here has nuk 0-6 dummies, want me to pick them up for you? I can buy them for you tomorrow am but not sure when I'll be able to send them. Might not be able to till Tuesday. Let me know, am more than happy to.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/03/2013 17:15

Right I just wanted to quickly post that to kissyfur before I forgot. I have a brain like a sieve at the moment.

pennie how absolutely shit! So sorry. I have been burgled many a time so no how shit it is. Wankers!

glenda their loss but congrats on Greenwich. Which hospitals come under that trust?

See I was going to say more but have forgotten already! Am going to bath E this evening ready for our big trip tomorrow.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/03/2013 17:18

stunt DD1 used to spend absolutely ages in her jumperoo she loved it so much. She was known to fall asleep in it too....and her bumbo! So she probably spent what would be deemed as too much time in it but it never did her any harm. I'm not talking hours but I bet there were occasions when she was in it not far off an hour at a time. Hmmm, that's probably bad!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/03/2013 17:24

pennie that is shit. I do worry about that and think "No" but obviously "yes". They make us park our push hairs outside at the children's centre, it's nota great area. Not happy about that really.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/03/2013 17:26

Does anyone use SMA comfort? I have a tin as when there was the lack of comfort milk DH got some, it is. It opened, obviously, and we use Aptamil. Anyway. Could post it forward if anyone wants to claim it.

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 17:37

PR D) don't let DD play with your phone?

kyz I do a similar thing for tummy time and J is getting better at it.

DD2 is possessed. I am going to shave her head later and will find numbers and horns sprouting. She is 2 next month. I cannot believe she can still be such a little sod!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 17:39

My DD1 is two in a couple of weeks. She is a real little sod this evening.

I could stop her playing with my phone but going on youtube is an excellent way of keeping her busy for a few minutes while I deal with LO. She doesn't like TV, despite my best efforts to persuade her that TV is A Good Thing.

StuntNun · 07/03/2013 17:40

You can get locks for buggies Sophia. It might be worth it if you have a pricey system.

Contradictionincarnate · 07/03/2013 17:47

aw pennie that's awful! I had heard on j vine that there were lots of instances of it ... when I went to health centre just me and dd I used the car seat with the travel system and carried the car seat through so hoped people wouldn't take the wheels. I'm in a good area but the centre serves some other areas too.
dd was v upset earlier I thought she may have had a nap was crying as if in pain been sick quite a few times but considering it may be teething!
I REALLY need a wee but don't want to wake dd asleep on me!

Contradictionincarnate · 07/03/2013 17:48

oh and det haven't weighed myself but I think I'm actually putting on weight! how does the fanjo stretcher work?

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 17:53

The paed mentioned LO's gums are swollen. But also said that DD1's were at the same time, and she got her first tooth through at just after 8 months.

LO very grimpy this evening. Not eating much, being generally fussy, hardly napping. It's the jabs. Has to be. Funny as she hardly reacted to the first two sets.

Pikz · 07/03/2013 17:55

Right tonight is first night of project reduce amount eaten at night to increase what he eats in day as he's started getting up at 6.30 but not wanting feed til 9 due to amount eaten overnight.

What's the betting he goes batshit.

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 18:03

Wah Pennie I always leave mine outside the front of our door as this rented house is just too small. Heck will have to reconsider Shock

Jags were eventful, the HV observed she'd never seen a baby cry in anticipation of the third injection on spotting the needle. So potentially he's bright and able to spot patterns / cause and effect but its fair to say, he is so very very unstoic - he was totally hysterical and purple. Poor chap. Been sleepy and cuddly ever since. I fed him after and he kept unlatching, to look at me tears in his eyes and pet lip trembling - clearly thinking the whole thing over Sad His Dad is doing the next lot. Thank god they're months away.

Just heard from sis xray ok- its a precaution (Dr feels guilty about dismissing my sister's concerns the day before her daughter was hospitalised last time) and oxygen SATs much better than last time. Still nerve wracking - she's a tiny wee poppet.

Detective ditch

applepieinthesky · 07/03/2013 18:07

pennie that's awful. How can people be so mean?

detective I have no idea how much I weigh and it's probably for the best. I must be heavier than I've ever been in my life and I need to do something about it.

I went to the pharmacy earlier and got DS some saline drops and apple flavour CalCough. He spat it out when I gave it to him on a spoon so now I'm giving it to him mixed with an ounce of water and he's taking it fine. Might take him to the doctors tomorrow to be checked out as he sounds very chesty.

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 18:07

Posted too soon because I'm a fecktard was going to say Detective ditch any foods labeled as diet - especially diet drinks - they create sugar cravings. I can recommend dairy and soy free life for weight loss have lost 1-4lb each and every week I've been on this shitty diet. Over a stone and a half since New Year Sad

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 18:08

Pennie that is shit Sad

Today I am thankful for big poos which turn my grumpy baby into a smiley chatterbox.

Oscar's big poos. Not mine. Just to be clear.

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 18:09

oops, bit of a running theme in that post...Blush

Evilwater · 07/03/2013 18:09

I've been told that I have a Mother's Day present by DP. Shock his track record for gifts are.....Confused. All I want is a day off, so I can have a bath, eat in peace, maybe cook.

So what, will I get? A new sofa, that Dp wants? A high chair for N? Or something else that DP wants.

Evil

kirrinIsland · 07/03/2013 18:13

pennie that is awful :( Will the insurance not pay out? Bastards.

horsey I have a very small lorry for sale right now - Renault van conversion - you want it?! Definitely a buyers market right now.

I had N's photo taken for her passport today. As soon as I laid her on the white sheet she had a melt down. The picture is hilarious. I'll try and put it on Facebook.

There was more I wanted to say but my brain has given up for the day. Will go back and read again!

kissyfur · 07/03/2013 18:21

Aww eliza that's v kind of you thank you. I was going to have a look in a couple more places round here tomorrow tho, if I can't find them then that would be great. Can I let u know tomorrow?

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 07/03/2013 18:36

They sell NUK soothers at Ocado kissy. I got mine at chemist direct online, you have to pay postage but they are slightly cheaper than in the shops and I was buying NUK bottles at the same time. Since changing to NUK dummies we have had two great nights where LO has only woken once.
