Pennie that is so bloody awful. I am so sorry to hear it. Makes you feel so sick and angry when something like that happens. I must get a lock for mine, I had to leave it downstairs in the surgery when I got L weighed yesterday. Bloody bastards.

Eliza glad you escaped from the ward for a bit, makes the world of difference. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Today I had one of those times when I feel so crap and socially awkward and unable to talk to people. Silly really. I met a couple of Mums at a postnatal group who I get on with and have been to a couple of things with them. But then I'm not brave enough to talk to anyone else if that makes sense? So today I went to an NCT bumps & babies thing with one of them but just chatted to her and clammed up when anyone else spoke to me. Just felt like I had nothing to say. I think I am better at more structured activities so should probably look for something like that. Informal groups just make me feel like everyone already knows each other & wouldn't be interested in talking to me. Oh I sound like a child. Woman up blonder!

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/03/2013 18:52

Kissyfur I'm leaving here around 9:30am tomorrow but prob back on Saturday, although there was only one pack. Think they were £4 but I don't know if that's expensive or not!

Lily311 · 07/03/2013 18:53

I read Matilda Mae's blog when it happened, a friend is a friend of theirs. I have to admit I bought a movement monitor on that day, I felt sick even thinking about losing my girl after losing my Oh. She has a breathable cot bumper and in sleeping bag, I know accidents happen but at least I feel she is not at risk.

I weigh the same as I did the day she was born. Most are on my boobs, they went up 4 sizes Shock And on my arms. I trully hope they will reduce after I stop breastfeeding. Especially the arms.

I saw passport photos on facebook, you should see ours, it does not look like her, she got her picture taken at day 10, got her passport a week after, we flew at 1 month Blush.

daisychain76 · 07/03/2013 18:54

Blonde l think a lot of mums feel the same at these things. This time round l am doing things like yoga and ~ when l get round to it ~ music cosmy mind always goes blank when l have to make small talk at these things. l think perhaps LOs get more out of the structured activities anyway.

Sorry to hear about your pram pennie. Hope you find a bargain replacement.

gardenpixie32 · 07/03/2013 19:03

stuntnun I think it is meant to be 20 minutes at a time in the Jumperoo.

The girls have been referred to the pediatrician for dropping centiles. I did mention it on here the other day and have been worrying about it for a few days now. DT1 has gone from 50th to 9th & DT2 from 75th to 25th. They have never had a big amounts of milk to drink and average 28oz per day. DT2 looks chunky to me and has lovely fat legs, DT1 is tall and skinny but so is her father and I just thought she takes after him.

Should I be worried? I am a bit :(

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 19:15

garden I'm afraid I have no advice about dropping centiles, however O only averages 26oz per day.

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 19:18

blonder I was exactly the same at baby group yesterday. It is a group that runs over six sessions and I had to miss the second one because of jabs. I felt like everyone had made friends and bonded last week and I felt very left out. Silly really.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/03/2013 19:20

I often feel like that blonde don't worry. Xxxx Thanks

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 19:24

garden do not worry unless you have something to definately worry about. They are happy, sleeping fairly well if I recall, interacting and developing as they should.

blonder you are not the only one. You are not a child at all. Often people who appear so very confident feel just like you do, but hide behind a loud front.

I looked into my local mum and baby group and there is a fucking waiting list! How to make someone feel wanted. Fuck them! Their loss!

The little girls were collected by their mum today. She has two smaller children, but so do I. I should not judge as I know nothing of their situation. I am just glad the kids were safe and she did not thump me

BigPigLittlePig · 07/03/2013 19:26

garden I'm sure there'll be nothing to worry about, but no matter what we say, it's natural for you to be a bit worried shitting yourself

I'm going to go to a more structured baby group next week, I love the one we go to normally so will keep up with that one too, but it will be nice to get out and see some other people.

Just had a bath with F, I got out and turned my back for 2 seconds, when I looked around she was sat in her bath chair beaming, with her own personal jacuzzi and an ever-growing yellow cloud around her. Gross still love her

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 19:28

28oz sounds about what LO has; in fact I don't think she ever goes over that. I work in ml, and LO drinks between 600 and 800 a day. 600 is 20 oz, if we're working at 30ml being about an ounce. It's not exact but I guess they don't make special measuring spoons for different markets. DD1 drank about the same, never going over 900ml so 30oz, and stayed on 98th centile until she got ill at Christmas. I wouldn't worry too much garden if they seems like they are thriving. Genes have a lot to answer for.

blonderedhead · 07/03/2013 19:28

Perhaps there should be badges: I'm feeling a bit socially awkward today, wanna chat?

Garden I know the worry of the centile drops. But either they are just finding their natural centiles or they need to take in more calories. So good to see paeds and get them checked out. Hopefully the former but if the latter they will find a way to help. Thinking of you Thanks

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 19:29

Sometimes I think these growth charts cause more trouble than they are worth. But I feel I am repeating myself :)

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 19:31

There's definitely something up with O, but struggling to figure out what it is.

He has been very fussy on the bottle lately, chewing the teat, shaking his head and crying. He will only feed sensibly if he is really hungry.

He has struggled to nap today and has been awake for 3 hours which he really can't cope with (can't stay awake longer than 90mins usually). He just had a meltdown as we put him to bed and wouldnt take his feed so we gave him some calpol, out of desperation really, which he took fine and then took his feed before conking out.

He is dribbling a fair bit and chewing everything in sight. Teething? He has suffered reflux before but his breath doesn't smell acidic like it usually does.

ValiumQueen · 07/03/2013 19:31

311 I have a movement monitor and I think it is wonderful. When they start moving though there will be lots of false alarms. I stopped using it once that happened.

Another safety thing is to not have things, like drawers, too near the cot, so if they do climb out, they do not get trapped in anything on the way down. Thankfully that is a way off. My money would be on Etienne to be the first to make a break for it.

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 19:36

Garden your girls are sleeping through aren't they? I bet the loss of the night feed is why they've dropped a centile or two. They're clearly happy and not starving or else they'd wake you. I'm sure you'll be fine - Jonas seems to be moving from the 25th toward the 9th now he's feeding much less and sometimes not at all at night - I'm viewing the situation as not looking a gift horse in the mouth but you do worry. He looks chubby and lovely to me but next to some of the chunks at baby massage he's a tiddler! You know your girls best don't worry about centiles if they're happy and thriving x

YellowWellies · 07/03/2013 19:40

Sweet pea it sounds like teething which can make reflux worse. We don't get acid breath anymore but he still has reflux as my accidental imbibing of milk traces always leads to a meltdown.

Titsalinabumsquash · 07/03/2013 19:40

Argh J had his second lot of jags yesterday, he's clawing at his ear and screaming tonight Sad I've given him baby paracetamol and letting him bf whenever he wants (always) anything else I can do?

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 19:41

14 weeks isn't too early for teething? He has been having more dirty nappies lately too, teething sign?

sweetpea1112 · 07/03/2013 19:42

Tits if the actual jab site is sore, a cold flannel over the legs helps.

horseylady · 07/03/2013 19:45

kirrin how much???????,

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/03/2013 19:54

Can I put my name down for a badge blonder Grin

horseylady · 07/03/2013 19:56

vq yes he will probably be the first to break for it. He took himself to the dog today. On his back. Then shrieked.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/03/2013 20:03

DS1 had his first altercation with an earwig today! I wishi could have captured the looked of terror on his face, and the serious way he came and sat beside and twiddled his thumbs. Cute moment.

Will stop with the cheese now.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/03/2013 20:03

Dexter and a martini. Love Thursdays.
