Yay! Good boy Oscar Grin

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 21:39

Just read through, so pleased he's drank now detective hope it continues and hope the meds work for him! Poor poppet.

Hope you're home soon eliza

Erm... What else....

pr sounds like your LO rather enjoyed the banana. My mum keeps telling me baby rice first and I have told her your dd has had banana first and she has never heard of giving banana as one of the first foods, she said even at her age with the experience behind she has you can learn something new (she is pregnant with number 6). We were all weaned at 3 months, think I have convinced her to wait until 17 weeks at least!

Can't remember what else I wanted to say! Loads!

Eric has his four month check tomorrow and I think I'm going to make him a doctors appointment, one of his cheeks has been red all day and he keeps poking at hIs ear. It's probably nothing and I'm probably overthinking his grumpiness of late, but figured it can't hurt to get him checked over. Would've thought he would have a temperature if it were an ear infection but he hasn't so who knows?!

YellowWellies · 05/03/2013 21:40

Detective that's actually a very small dose but that's good as you have lots of spare weapons in the arsenal as it were. We've been told to administer up to 2mg per kg of bodyweight per day as Jonas' is so fecking sensitive to dairy and even on my woeful elimination diet something always slips through. So ATM he's 5.75kg and I give him 4.75ml twice a day (keeping a couple of ml spare for when his reflux worsens thanks to teething, post jags etc). Reflux is also worse after a virus.

I'm envious of your comfort eating options - just had a bagel with hummus have to say I did wish it were a cheesy taco or a dirty great double Mars bar. Sleep well and wishing you a better day tomorrow - sorry you had to join the battle scarred Mummies reflux club - as Pass says tear stained t-shirts are mandatory Sad but it does get easier it really does.

kissyfur · 05/03/2013 21:43

Blimey detective you've really had a horrible day of it Sad poor Oscar, hope the meds work. Hugs to you Thanks

Glad E liked the banana Eliza! Bless her

Kyz thanks I did take LO for a walk and she was calmer this afternoon and fed eventually

Loving all the FB photos Smile

YellowWellies · 05/03/2013 21:44

kyz red cheek and ear tugging could be teething?

Right the footy is finished and Jonas is in bed on his own some - time for a cuddle with DH.

Evilwater · 05/03/2013 21:49

Well done O. Have a good nights sleep detective!

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 21:59

Glad She calmed down kissy :)

Can it yw? I've noticed him swallowing and whinging/crying after, which he used to do before his thickened milk, just read your post above where you said teething can make the reflux worse, didn't know that! Will the doctor be able to tell that he is teething if it's not his ears? He is drooling alot and just isn't his usual self you see :/ major attack of the grumps and whilst he isn't always easy to get a smile out of, everyone usually comments that he is a contented baby and he just hasn't been.

blonderedhead · 05/03/2013 21:59

YW I have made dairy & soy free banana cake and apricot flapjacks which have gone some way to alleviating the lack of chocolate!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 05/03/2013 22:12

Well I'm going for a better night tonight. No doubt it won't happen. DS is still very much awake after a feed about half an hour ago. I'm hoping I can feed him again before we all go to bed.

I need sleep. Proper sleep. A big chunk would be nice!

Dixiebell · 05/03/2013 22:13

Teddy's sleeping has been getting gradually worse overnight. He goes down at 7 and had been going through till 3 or 4 before needing a feed. But last few days he's woken at 12, 3, 5, 6... So tonight decided to reinstate the dream feed to see if that'd help go longer. Annoying as I'd like to go to bed a bit earlier, but hey. So 5 mins before I'm about to go up and get ready for bed, and he wakes up crying! Hasn't woken this soon in the night since we started putting him to bed upstairs at 7 weeks!! So now dream feed is not so dreamy, and I'm not ready for bed so will be crashing around getting ready after doing the transfer which is not ideal. And if he's only gone less than 3 hours in his usual long stretch time, what's the rest of the night going to be like?! Bah. DH also annoyed me by switching from the programme we were watching to the bloody football while I was making us a cuppa, and then deciding that it was too exciting to switch back. Humph. At least it gave me some time to catch up on the thread.

Can't remember anything I want to say except Eliza, been v keenly looking out for updates from you, keep thinking of you & E in hospital and really feel for you especially with another one at home, who you must muss. Such good news on the weight gain, hope you get out soon.

YellowWellies · 05/03/2013 22:20

Dear blonder please post that cake to Fife Grin

Kyz try some calpol to see if he's cheerier? I guess the doc will have a feel of his gums.

horseylady · 05/03/2013 22:20

vq I'm pretty sure ds will say bloody a lot.

det SLEEP

Pics on fb!! Madame you'll do it.

sweetpea1112 · 05/03/2013 22:47

FFS up already. His 'long' stretch was less than three hours. Why is he going backwards?

I went to bed early to try and claw back some sleep and got all of an hour Angry

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2013 22:51

Loving the photos on fb, not that I'm going to remember who's who beyond about 5 minutes...

Took an age for F to settle tonight, so not optimistic for what tonight holds. I suspect she's coming down with the cold dsd was liberally spreading around at the weekend. And we have 2nd lot of jabs tomorrow too Sad Hello calpol!

det so so glad O finally decided to feed wee bugger
kyz hope gp can shed some light/reassure you

For the dairy free-ers - coconut macaroons I made today had dessicated coconut, egg white and sugar. Healthly, no, but I think dairy free? They were yummy only 2 left

MissMummy1 · 05/03/2013 23:05

Thanks so much for offer yw. I've deliberately planned to be mad busy the next few days but should be free friday pm if you fancy a walk or a cuppa? I'll have the car and will be in the bay all day anyway.

Dermatologist was lovely. She had never seen such a serious reaction to daktakort. Basically Matilda is on the allergy spectrum for just about everything Sad Sad Sad . Including the dog. And poss dairy Sad A bit stressful but we've been prescribed yet more creams and she gave us her personal number as she is on holiday for the next fortnight. She is lovely and one of the best in the country apparently so that's something.

My sodding car still hasnt been collected for assessment. I have spent no less than 5 hours today being bounced backwards and forwards between the insurance company and garage. I just want it confirmed as a write off or not before I fork out for it's replacement.

DP being very unsupportive. I am knackered and quite stressed and instead of helping me out today he's spent the whole day pissing about. Put it this way, M has been feeding for the past 2 hours and he is in the spare room with earplugs in because 'his sleep is important'. He is on shore leave just now Angry. He knows I want to go back and study, poss even totally retrain, but wants me to go back to work full time so he has an excuse to quit his job. I am not asking him to support me financially, just emotionally but he is totally against the idea. I realised today that I look forward to him going offshore and dread his weeks off. Not great really, is it? Sad

Sorry very me me me. Feeling a bit down tonight. Sleep dust to all, I'll be fine in the morning if matilda fecking sleeps Smile

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 05/03/2013 23:14

Right successful transfer to crib after a teeny top up feed. Fingers crossed I fall asleep quickly and don't get up til at least 7!

FatimaLovesBread · 05/03/2013 23:21

Looks like it's another night of laying awake, listening to DH snore Sad 1 hour 20 mins and counting. Right, might as well do something productive instead of lying here getting annoyed, off to sort out some washing

kirrinIsland · 05/03/2013 23:54

Haven't got on here all day and at the rate you lot talk I have no chance of catching up!

mm why does he want to quit his job? What will he do instead? Sounds stressful. ((hugs))

Fatima have you tried punching him sending him to the spare room? Bad enough being kept awake by the baby....

I'm up for the first feed of the night. On the plus side that means she was actually down for the night before 11. On the down side, that means our "long sleep" was 1.5 hours :( If this the 4 month sleep regression then it's been going on for nearly a month and she's not 4 months til next week. If it's not, then next week I'm screwed - how can it get worse than this?

Sleepy dust all round.

StuntNun · 06/03/2013 01:10

What time do you call this? Drat I was hoping he'd go a bit longer but he didn't have his dream feed last night. Too tired to type. G'night.

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 06/03/2013 03:21

I've now been awake longer than i was asleep - 4 hours awake, 3 of sleep. R slept for 1 1/2 but i couldn't get off Sad

Sorry for all the me me me at the moment. I am reading and will help if i have anything useful to add. Just need to vent without burdening dp too much

TheDetective · 06/03/2013 03:38

Is anyone not having a shit time at the minute?! Go on, post! Cheer us up and give us hope!!

Well he woke at 0030. Not for feeding. DP was dispatched to assess that one. He just wanted a cuddle......

Now wants feeding. That's actually quite good. 6 hours. Not that this night I mind him wanting to feed given yesterday. But just sayin', like. Grin. Any other night this would be much more acceptable!!

Kirrin same here. A month of regression. And not yet 4 months bam hoping it's the fucking shitty cunty wanky cockwombling reflux to blame.

Welcome to sweary fucking Wednesday!! It is wednesday, right?!

Poor DP is up at the crack of dawn for work and I've just had to wake him to unblock the motherfucking teat. Angry

TheDetective · 06/03/2013 03:43

YW think he started him on 800mg and then rounded the dose up to 2.5mls as it should have been 2.3 to start. If I actually remember now! God I just want my happy, confident, feeding baby back!

Sorry about the cheesy tacos Grin. I'm back on the shitty diet rabbit food today! Porridge for breakfast :( bah.

PurplePidjin · 06/03/2013 03:51

I like porridge for breakfast, with shitloads of sugar dried fruit

Arseknobbing cuntweasels.
